Obama supporter on NPR: Obama's voice 'clears up the weather'

On Tuesday, NPR's Scott Horsley gave an Obama supporter a chance to glorify the President in near god-like terms with a claim that the mere sound of Obama's voice "clears up the weather."

Reporting on a rally in New Hampshire, Horsley noted that Obama fans "stood for hours in a steady downpour," waiting for a glimpse of the man.

Toward the end of the report, Horsley said the rain had stopped "and a little sunshine was peeking through the clouds."

"That gave David O'Donnell of Portsmouth one more reason to be impressed with Mr. Obama," he added.

"See what his voice does? It clears up the weather, too. It clears up the economy, creates jobs, helps education, and straightens out the weather," rally participant David O'Donnell said.

Horsley finished by saying: "Not every Granite Stater was so sanguine about the break in the rain, though. As Brian Bresnahan of Coos County warned, this is New Hampshire: give it a minute."

Warner Todd Huston of Breitbart.com wrote that NPR decided to give the President a boost by "going back to its 2008 practice of assigning to Obama the god-like powers of The One, The Light Bringer, The Obammessiah."

Every American should be issued one of these when listening to BHO/Dems/Progressives/NPR:

JMHO ;-)

Thanks, Joe.

That any public funding goes to supporting such tripe is offensive to all of us.

In 2011, the House voted to stop NPR funding. But died in the Senate of course. Had it passed, it would have cut NPR's income sources by about 3% of Public funds.

The American Thinker article How Public Is NPR's Funding? paints quite a different picture of NPR funding however. Due to the complex 2 tier (and more) operation, up to 60% is public funding, with local NPR affiliates deriving  something like 41% of their funding from taxes, either directly or indirectly.

Perhaps 75 years ago, there was a justification for NPR in the infant industry. Certainly not today!

NOT TO WORRY...

THEIR IS A HOUSE BILL PASSED THAT VOIDS ALL GOVT FUNDING FOR NPR... ITS JUST STALLED IN THE SENATE

LIKE A ZILLION OTHER HOUSE BILLS... LIKE THE ONE THAT VOTED OBAMACARE UNCONSTTUTIONAL..

WHEN MITT IS ELECTED..OR WHOMEVER IT IS ON OUR SIDE...(TRUST ME FOLKS THAT ISNT SETTLED YET..THERE ARE FIREWORKS TO COME AT THE CONVENTION OVER THAT YET..WAIT AND SEE)  THOSE BILLS WILL START MOVING LIKE HOT GREASE THRU A GOOSE !
