Obama: Earth Day hypocrisy

There are certain things that just go together.  Salt and Pepper.  Ice and Tea.  And Obama and hypocrisy.  

Today is Earth day.  It would be politically incorrect to note that the founder of Earth Day, one Ira Einhorn is a convicted murderer, currently serving a life sentence for the murder of his girl friend.  I know it is awkward for us to point things out that make liberals uncomfortable on their most sacred day of the year.  Wait, is Earth Day the most sacred day to the left or is it April 15^th, when taxes are due?

Obama has been lecturing Americans about gas prices.  He has told us to suck it up and trade in our good cars for cheap, unsafe, eco mobiles, like the highly flammable Chevy Volt.   He has also been trying to obscure and hide his role in the high gas prices we are all paying by creating some bizarre federal task force to investigate “profit” in the oil business. 

To celebrate, Obama, the man of the people, one of us, spent all day on his luxury 747, paid for by the taxpayers and burned 53,300 gallons of fossil fuel, at a rough cost of $180,000.  Of course, that is only the fuel for Air Force One.   That does not include the fuel for his helicopter, limo or any of the other planes and vehicles that accompany a Presidential trip. 

President Obama’s carbon footprint is now officially bigger than Al Gore’s waistline and his ego. 

Obama said, “Our nation has a proud conservation tradition.”  Obama’s definition of a conservation tradition is to punish Americans for being successful.  Of course, Obama had important business while he was on the West Coast.  He had to attend Democratic Fundraisers so he could raise enough money so he could get enough dead people to vote for him next year to win reelection.

Obama famously told an American citizen recently that he should not be complaining about gas prices when he was only getting eight miles to the gallon.  Obama does not complain about the price of gas.  He does not even know what the price of gas is.  When was the last time Obama pumped his own gas, much less paid for it?

Obama has declared fossil fuels to be the enemy.  He has made war on coal, nuclear and oil.  The only things he seems to like are solar and wind.  Unfortunately, unless we are going to start putting him in front of wind turbines when he speaks, we will never see anything from wind.  Solar is about as much of a joke as Congress saying they will control spending. 

As we watch gas prices surging past $4 a gallon towards $5 and probably towards $6 by the end of the summer. 

As we have to pay more and more for fuel and have less and less for other things, remember when Obama talks about shared sacrifice, he is only talking about us sacrificing, not the career hypocrite.
