Today Barack Obama threw a temper tantrum and declared war on the United States Constitution.
How did he do that?
He made four recess appointments. The Constitution allows the President to make an appointment if Congress is in a recess.
The problem? Congress is not in recess.
From the Washington Times:
Defying Congress, President Obama used his recess appointment powers Wednesday to name a head for the controversial Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and three new members to the National Labor Relations board — moves Republican senators said amounted to a constitutional power grab.
The president acted just a day after the Senate held a session, breaking with at least three different precedents that said the Senate must be in recess for at least three days for a recess appointment. Mr. Obama himself was part of two of those precedents, both during his own time in the Senate and again in 2010 when one of his administration’s top constitutional lawyers made the three-day argument to the Supreme Court.
Mr. Obama tapped Richard Cordray to head the CFPB and named three others to the labor board — all of which had been stymied by congressional Republicans who said Mr. Obama is accruing too much power to himself through those two agencies.
In strikingly sharp language, Republicans said the Senate considers itself still in session for purposes of blocking recess appointments, and the move threatened to become a declaration of war against Congress.
“Although the Senate is not in recess, President Obama, in an unprecedented move, has arrogantly circumvented the American people,” said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican.
GOP House Speaker John A. Boehner called the move “an extraordinary and entirely unprecedented power grab by President Obama that defies centuries of practice and the legal advice of his own Justice Department.”
Great, the GOP has issued statements. The GOP is angry and to show their anger, they are going to issue statements to say how angry they are.
Obama made the moves he made because he does not fear the GOP. He knows the Republican leadership will sputter than complain and in the end, do nothing.
How about a little courage and action from the GOP? Senators could start by suing Obama to stop the appointments. The GOP in the Senate could start filibustering EVERYTHING bill that comes up until Obama backs down. The House can refuse to pass any bills until Obama backs down.
Given the lack of courage the GOP leadership displayed in 2011, we should not hold our breath for any courage in 2012.
Barack Obama certainly is not worried about the Republicans.

Well that is what Obama is doing to the GOP leadership in the sea not and congress, I will do what I want and let's see what you can do about it.
Their is one tragic thing in this whole thing, and that is every time Obama does these appointments and executive orders Obama is telling the congress I don't need you, also spitting in the face of the American people. If you don't like what I am doing well then you can kiss my ass, you do not have any way nor anything you can do about it. This is what I think is going through Obama"s mind.
The Tea Party has been marginalized and will be demonized even further this election year. I say this organization along with other organizations will have to be the voice of decent against this administration and his marshals. It is a very sad day in this nation that this type of people are seated at the head of the table.

THIS IS WHY JOHN ADAMS SAID THAT "THIS CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC WAS DEVISED BY MORAL AND RELIGIOUS MEN AND IS MADE FOR MORAL AND RELGIOUS MEN.....inadequate for any other.

The claim that he taught Constitutional law lends him credibility in among those not paying attention: Which means the majority. The sophistry used is to declare that the Constitution doesn’t take into consideration the technological advances in today’s world because our Founders could not possibly have foreseen them. I have a very smart, very successful friend that bought into this sophistry as have so many other smart, successful people.
We need to show this sophistry for what it is: Making foolishness sound like wisdom.
The fact is that the Constitution was never intended to deal with the technological and physical evolution of society. The Constitution was created to deal with and curtail man’s passions. Particularly man’s passion for power and the wealth that comes from power. That is why the Anti-Federalists insisted on a Bill of Rights. Because as those governing consolidate their power those governed lose their property rights and the liberty provided by property rights and return to the historic role of subjection. I doubt that we can expect much actual action in response to this latest travesty. That is why it is so very important for each of us to do everything WE can to prevent the re-election of Obama. Yes, we don't have the most inspiring list of candidates but if you are looking for another Reagn or John Wayne type, that's just not going to happen. So, we need to be united and strongly back whoever the candidate may be. If Obama gets back in for a second term you can expect actions like this on a regular basis. Can you imagine the destructive Marxist/socialist agenda he will force on the country as a lame duck president? So, while this recent atrosity may make your blood boil, remember the most important goal is to vote Obama out of office so this dictatorial style of ruling can't continue.

I commend you! Now, it's time to not only admit that you did vote for him and yes, it was a mistake, but to now tell all your friends and whoever you can when you can that you will NOT be voting for him again, to help others face the truth within themselfs that they also mada a huge mistake.
