Should we file this one under there is nothing to worry about? Probably not. In fact, it should go into the RED ALERT file.
What is it?
Well, it is the Internet. For freedom and liberty, there has not been a more beneficial tool created since the advent of the printing press. Of course this does not go over well with those who would deny freedom to their citizens or others throughout the world.
So they are doing something about it.
From the Daily Caller:
United States officials are expected to take further action next week to address the threat of a U.N. takeover of the Internet.
The House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology is scheduled to hold a hearing Thursday to discuss the various international proposals to regulate the Internet, which are backed by Russia, China and several former Soviet satellite countries. India and Brazil are also on board with the idea of reforming the “multi-stakeholder process” that currently regulates the Internet.
The ostensible purpose of the proposals is to update the international telecom regulations, which have not been revised in more than a decade.
FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell — who has been sounding the alarm about this potential Internet takeover since early December 2011, as previously reported by TheDC — will testify as a witness during the House hearing.
Doesn’t that make you feel so much better? The Internet could be taken over by the UN. Yes, that is the agency you are thinking of. It is the one that wastes billions of dollars, bad mouths the west, puts wonderful nations like Libya on the Human Rights Council. The one that sends peacekeepers to nations and they mostly end up raping the locals they are supposed to be protecting. Yes, that is the group.
The Internet has been a boon for freedom. No matter how hard nations try, information gets in and out. The blind Chinese activist Chen Guangcheng became a household name because of videos he uploaded to YouTube.
If we let the UN have the Internet, what do you think would happen?
If Obama has four more years, while he is busy bowing to every tyrant on the planet, do you think he might give away the Internet too?
It is not a chance we can take.
Amen and Amen!!!
Remember.....He will have to give it all up to the One World Government. But, what is the main thing we have noticed about Obama? What does he want more than anything? POWER! He went from Illinois Senator, to U.S. Senator, to President, and never accomplished anything! So, what is next? Maybe......world leader? And just when you thought he couldn't get any more arrogant?????!!! And remember also, many called him "the messiah" when he ran in 2008!
HAH! Apparently you / we have not fully visualized the potential future.....?
Let me suggest: If Obama wins again, losing the Internet will be the LEAST of our problems........
I am going to say this AGAIN: You can pick Map Quest or YahooMaps! or what ever, and type in any state. You will see an X that brings you to the so called "middle" of the state / what ever state. You can say that "WE" can meet at that X if/when the world goes to S_ _ _ _, around noon on the FIRST of every month. That is an example of a PLAN. If you / we wait to create such a Plan, it will be too late to MAKE a plan, unless we all get horses and bring Paul Revere back somehow. Sure, I can see that my "crazy idea" of a plan would surely bring some FBI agents etc. as well as thousands of Tea Party people, but so what? If Tea Party people can be scattered and fully separated and cannot communicate at some point in America, you can add about 300 years to us getting this Nation back on track. By the way, I am not "in charge" of such things: I am just saying........... we're still going about 150 MPH towards the cliff and now you're telling me we may lose the brakes.........
We need to scream this from the rooftops, do penny postcards, email, anything we can to make people aware of this real threat.
