Tonight is a win for Newt Gingrich in South Carolina.
From ABC News:
Romney's front-runner status in South Carolina evaporated quickly as the former Massachusetts governor was hit hard on his reluctance to reveal his tax records. The controversy over Romney's experience at Bain & Co. also hurt him in the Palmetto State. Twenty-eight percent of voters saw it as a negative, a substantial number, especially when looking at the lower-income voters, among whom Romney got virtually no support.
Although he spent more money than the other candidates on campaign ads -- more than double what Gingrich spent, by some accounts -- Romney was unable to sustain his lead.
Romney, 64, has said he will release his tax records in April despite calls from his rivals to do so immediately. Gingrich, 68, released his Thursday. The former governor, however, revealed that he paid a 15-percent effective tax rate in 2010, which is considerably lower than other Americans with comparable wealth. The lower tax rate was, in part, because Romney makes much of his money through investments and speaking fees rather than employment.
Newt came back and won. As Fox News called it, it was the second time Gingrich had risen from the political dead.
For conservatives, this is a good night. Conservatives are coalescing around a conservative candidate. As the campaign goes into Florida, it will basically be two man race.
Yes, Ron Paul will still be there, but he doesn’t really count.
The really interesting question is how long will Rick Santorum hang around. He has finished a distant third in South Carolina and that should effectively kill most of his money. Santorum may limp into Florida but all he can really do in Florida is siphon off some votes from Newt Gingrich.
Rick Santorum needs to call it a campaign and endorse Newt Gingrich. The sooner we can put liberal Mitt Romney out of the race, the sooner we can work on putting Barack Obama out of the White House.

WRIGHT on January 22, 2012 at 1:32pm NOW LETS TALK ABOUT WINNING FLORIDA, The great people of FLORIDA could not help but NOTICE THE BIG NEWT VICTORY IN SC. now I BELIEVE WHEN ALL THE CARDS ARE ON THE TABLE THE WINNING HAND IS CLEAR AND NEWT HOLDS THE ACES, AND THE ROYAL FLUSH AS WELL. it has to be clear and present to FLORIDIANS NEWT IS THE ONE TO WIN IN THEIR PRIMARY AS WELL. AND BEYOND. this fight ain't over til its OVER. CNN SAID THE TEA PARTIERS HAVE LOST THEIR MOJO. I THINK CNN IS WRONG ABT THAT. TO CNN THE TEA PARTY IS NOT FADING WE ARE GETTING STRONGER EACH PRIMARY NEWT GOES INTO WE SUPPORT THE VERY BEST CANDIDATE NEWT GINGRICH ENOUGH SAID.
I believe that it's the powers be at any media station who set the limitations. Just look at what happened to Ailes when Beck was getting too close to exposure of this administration. His second in command had to meet Soros' second in command. Ailes was actually threatened if he didn't silence Beck. And it was shortly after that, that Beck made his move to the internet. He exposed their actions behind the scenes on his new uncensored show. It's too bad that the incident affected him so much that he transformed shortly after leaving.
These media stations are beholding to huge corporations who hold money and threats over their heads. They limit Fox and ABC Disney radio in how far right they could go.
There's no problem moving as far left even off the cliff for the LSM, because they are subsidized by the administration and tax dollars. They can get as bold and hateful as they want to.
Bottom line, they are censored at Fox. That's why you have people like Hannity who is true conservative having to tow the line. However, he still gives clues where his heart lies and I know that Newt is aware of that, too..

Permalink Reply by Gary Covington on January 23, 2012 at 7:19pm Thank you all Tea Party groups and individuals that came together to vote for Newt Gingrich. I know a lot of you wanted to vote for Santorum but realized like the rest of us that Newt is our biggest bet to not only beat Romney for the nominee but also to beat Obama in November. I know Obama is probably starting to panic because they have been counting on Romney as their the nominee they were hoping for to run against. I mean it is very possible that they still may run against Romney if we don't continue to stand behind Newt. We need to do more than stand behind Newt we need to donate too. Yes our pocket books are not as full as we would like them to be to just throw around money to every candidate that comes along but we don't have any new candidates coming along and we since we don't want Ron or Romney winning and Santorum isn't going to pull it off. And im not the only saying that so please don't think I am picking on Santorum. Even though after last Thursdays debate I really don't have anything nice to say about Sanotrum. Anyway lets keep backing Newt people and hopefully we will have the last word in November and not just that but start to get back the country that most of us don't even recognize anymore. God bless
Permalink Reply by Richard Wohltmann on January 24, 2012 at 8:42am For those of you that don't like Romney and are serious about dumping BO for the sake of America's future, I strongly suggest that you review a little closer at Gingrich. Global warming, single-payer healthcare, dept. of Education, ethanol subsidies; any subsidies to a special interest that convinces him that their product is what's needed for the little people's own good; and anything in general that needs a big government solution. Basically, a Gingrich administration will grow the federal government, not reduce it. His $300,000 ethics violation as Speaker was bad enough to get him fired. BO will sink him just on that one. Being a debate club star is no reason to pick a POTUS. Romney is not our first choice, but Gingrich has all kinds of big ideas for a bigger government and that is the absolute wrong way to go.

Run your curser over any picture to the left of their name. Click on it when the little hand appears. That will send you to their personal page. Now do that to Dennis' and you will find he is gone. They were his only posts. Click on my picture of the flag and constitution and see how many discussions I have. I've been at this for a while. I can smell a shill. I've been here from the beginning. Thank you for your concern.
