Newt had the right idea all along. Unfortunately he is gone from the race now and what ever else Mitt Romney will or will not do, one of Newt’s better ideas will not be adopted.
What was that idea and what was he so right about?
He was right about the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the need to simply abolish it.
The 9th Circuit has not come out with a new outrageous decision. They do that all the time. No, the 9th Circuit is doing something even more outrageous.
In the middle of the Great Obama Depression, the 9th Circuit is blowing a million dollars so they can have a really nice getaway at a resort in Hawaii.
Shades of the GSA?
The event is the 9th Circuit’s annual judicial conference. In fairness to the 9th Circuit, that Circuit does include Hawaii and the outlying Pacific territories. And every Circuit has a judicial conference. These are legitimate events where judges and lawyers get their continuing education requirements and it is a good chance for the judges to hear from the lawyers on issues that affect the administration of justice.
Most of the other circuits realize there is a Depression going on and have cut back their Judicial Conferences. Not the 9th Circuit.
They are going to a luxury resort in Hawaii.
Travel alone for this conference is going to cost almost $700,000. Then you have the additional expenses that go along with that, including lodging and an almost $400 a day per diem. In addition, Breitbart.com estimates that there will be another $700,000 spent in salaries for the 267 Judges during their time in Hawaii.
Newt Gingrich called for the abolition of the 9th Circuit during his campaign. The abolition of the 9th Circuit would have put all of those judges out of work. The 9th Circuit is the most liberal and most reversed of the Federal Appellate Circuits.
And now, they can have the reputation for the hardest partying (on the taxpayer dime) Federal Circuit.
It really is past time for the 9th Circuit to be done away with. As real Americans lose their homes, have to make all kinds of sacrifices and do not get to go on family vacations, why should these government employees get this kind of ritzy all expense paid vacation?
It is utterly insane.
Of course, the 9th Circuit, being the most liberal, fits right in with the Obama model of let’s see how much money we can waste.
If Newt Gingrich had been elected President, there is a decent chance the 9th Circuit might have been abolished. Unfortunately, even if Mitt Romney is elected, he will never do anything that bold, no matter how bad the 9th Circuit is.

It says I am on the right path that my father has set me on and that your shock and appalling nature has blinded you with all undue respect. Not only as a Christian will I not vote for Willard the Rat, but I will make sure I make it my top priority to make it about his godless beliefs and his mockery of YHVH and my sweet Yeshua. Now before you call this a personal attack as you have to many in the past, may I remind you that the same of your post below can be said of you?
What gives you the right Mam, to support and defend this godless twits cult, but turn right around and condemn others who have the same rights as Christians, to discern what is and is not a danger to them and their families as Christians Carole, Christians?
I study these Mormons and know that Willard will make his presidency about the Church Of Latter Day Saint's and it's a fact that he has too. You don't believe for a moment did you that he would let silly ole you stand in the way to his becoming a gawd did you? As a matter of fact, he will not tolerate anyone other, especially yourself, why tolerate what will not tolerate you Carole..

Bashing Romney is splitting the vote and it will re-elect Obama. Romney has his faults, but he is an business man and he can create jobs. And Romney is 100% better than Obama.
Not voting for Romney because he is a Mormon is not a smart thing to do. America is nearly dead and we have people who will not vote for a Mormon! JFK was a Catholic. He did not make America Catholic. Obama is a Muslim and he will demand that we all become Muslim. Therefore, I ask you why would Romney try to make Americans become Mormon? When he was Governor, he did not demand that Mass., become Mormon.
We on this planet earth, have seen the world divided because of religious intolerance. People are killed daily because of religious intolerance. America is no better. Romney can be a Mormon, or whatever, that is his personal business. It is none of my business. I want Obama gone. Now, I do not believe in judging another because of their religious beliefs. I find that ugly, hateful, and ignorant.

Some say Mormonism is evil others say Mormons are good people: and on and on ad infinitum. It seems to me that the important thing is what has Romney accomplished and how does he live his life?
To try to bring some perspective to the argument, I’m repeating a post from another thread.
The issue is not where you go to practice your religion on the Sabbath, the issue is what are your values when you are at large in society. Do you conduct yourself in concert with those values.
The pertinent question is does Mitt Romney share our American values? And also, are Mormon values congruent with American values? IMHO the answer is yes. If that’s the case, all this other stuff is just a lot of static.
