Newt had the right idea all along. Unfortunately he is gone from the race now and what ever else Mitt Romney will or will not do, one of Newt’s better ideas will not be adopted.
What was that idea and what was he so right about?
He was right about the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the need to simply abolish it.
The 9th Circuit has not come out with a new outrageous decision. They do that all the time. No, the 9th Circuit is doing something even more outrageous.
In the middle of the Great Obama Depression, the 9th Circuit is blowing a million dollars so they can have a really nice getaway at a resort in Hawaii.
Shades of the GSA?
The event is the 9th Circuit’s annual judicial conference. In fairness to the 9th Circuit, that Circuit does include Hawaii and the outlying Pacific territories. And every Circuit has a judicial conference. These are legitimate events where judges and lawyers get their continuing education requirements and it is a good chance for the judges to hear from the lawyers on issues that affect the administration of justice.
Most of the other circuits realize there is a Depression going on and have cut back their Judicial Conferences. Not the 9th Circuit.
They are going to a luxury resort in Hawaii.
Travel alone for this conference is going to cost almost $700,000. Then you have the additional expenses that go along with that, including lodging and an almost $400 a day per diem. In addition, Breitbart.com estimates that there will be another $700,000 spent in salaries for the 267 Judges during their time in Hawaii.
Newt Gingrich called for the abolition of the 9th Circuit during his campaign. The abolition of the 9th Circuit would have put all of those judges out of work. The 9th Circuit is the most liberal and most reversed of the Federal Appellate Circuits.
And now, they can have the reputation for the hardest partying (on the taxpayer dime) Federal Circuit.
It really is past time for the 9th Circuit to be done away with. As real Americans lose their homes, have to make all kinds of sacrifices and do not get to go on family vacations, why should these government employees get this kind of ritzy all expense paid vacation?
It is utterly insane.
Of course, the 9th Circuit, being the most liberal, fits right in with the Obama model of let’s see how much money we can waste.
If Newt Gingrich had been elected President, there is a decent chance the 9th Circuit might have been abolished. Unfortunately, even if Mitt Romney is elected, he will never do anything that bold, no matter how bad the 9th Circuit is.

And I wish the GOP had been able to go with a brokered convention. Man, I have never seen anything like the GOP candidate lineup this past season. I'll never forget Herman Cain as long as I live, "9-9-9". My liberal friends and I were shocked at the pickings this time around.
Yep - Obama and Romney probably won't affect much that the political machinery already has planned. If I'm wrong and the changes are positive - no matter who wins - then I'm ecstatic to be wrong!

Again...this is about a targeted attack plan on issues both sides agree on. The other stuff... well, that pretty much always exists as many people in this group are on the opposite side of the political spectrum than I. But even my father, a Tea Party patriot, agrees it's time to put an end to corporatism and the selling of our country. I have been laughed at by colleagues on the left for this thinking...but not all colleagues. And that's the point! :)

If it fails and causes the masses to rise up!!!!... Oi and ouch! It'll make for some interesting TV and water cooler discussion, but it's a symptom of our very serious problems.

All of these people that want to turn the USA around, don't do much after the hoopla...What happened to being a good patriot for the good of the Country. Everyone wants a great big title..
I loved Newt, but somewhere here this doesn't make much sense.. We need a leader almost as much as life's breath. Our Country is dying. Less than six months and we are sinking faster than ever before.. This bunch today would never have beaten the British. Glen Beck is the only one that stuck his neck out big time.. He is planning a huge deal in Dallas, shortly.. He is still trying so please don't beat him up to badly.. He taught us so much.
Who is going to stop this insane deal, selling our ballots to another Country? That alone is just over the edge.. Why hasn't someone screamed as loud as all hell, this is unconstitutional.. The vote is our last resource to take our Country back. Now they have that sewed up.
This ninth circuit has been a pain in all of our butts for a very long time.. I think there are bigger issues right now. Why not contact Newt and see what hes doing to help as a Patriot should want to? Wonder how much is being spent this weekend servicing all of the wealthy of the world on our dime? Now that is something to complain about.
I am almost at my last hope for anything to be done. We are all typing, wishing for someone or thing to happen to stop this madness. Where is Sheriff Joe? He has all this info but no show.. If he is waiting for an October surprise, don't bother.. They will call it all political and that will be the end of it.. This whole deal with the Sheriff is beginning to smell like a birther issue.. People are laughing about it.. Some real news, PLEASE.
Sorry to be such a pessimist, but I am getting very nervous.. Something is up in the bo camp.. Front page on msn and also on meet the press, the question was asked, if Washington could rule. Sounds to me he is going to dismiss the lot of them and begin a new....
He is doing exactly what he said he was going to do.. The transformation of the US.

Permalink Reply by Chas Jones on Newt has said very openly, he is working to retire the last of his campaign debt, while at the same time working to nationalize the federal election of Romney with GOP candidates in the senate and house, and everywhere else across the country. He prefers conservatives but supports GOP candidates in the general election.
Newt isn't getting much press [and likely won't until at least after the convention] as Romney has little in common with conservatives. Romney expects conservative votes and efforts but I fully expect Romney's campaign to make its main appeal to "moderates and progressives" and if elected to seek the same to populate his cabinet and to work with in congress.
Hope for the better but sadly, prepare for the worst.
I found it disheartening to learn that Romney considers telling the truth about Obama to be a 'smear campaign'. Interesting that he didn't see telling lies about Newt in the same light.

Did you know that the RNC took Newt's Security Team Away prior to his announcing he would be suspending his election?
Something just isn't right here especially when Newt's poll numbers were off the charts! (see below).

Permalink Reply by Elaine on Newt is being gracious while I don't think I would handle it as well. The RNC pressured him to "suspend" his campaign...while I suspect there were other reasons. Take a look at his poll numbers a day or so just prior to the "suspension."

I know we can get through the financial stresses; however, Islam invading and violating our rights every day is/was what I am worried about.
Romney states, "Islam is NOT inherently violent" while Newt spoke out quite loudly that he would BAN Sharia Law in Our Country.
Do you think there is a connection between that and why the RNC asked him to suspend his campaign?

The true "masters of our universe" aren't people we elect directly. I used to call people that believed that "conspiracy theorists" and snicker... but there's just too much data and a pattern is emerging.
And the bankers? Put the lot of them in (those responsible) in prison! Why should they have freedom when their games have cost some people their jobs, homes, hopes, etc?

Entitlements, they all believe they are entitled to comfort and luxury as long as we allow it to happen. the Government is so big, nobody can control it and the only way to resolve this problem is to abolish it and start fresh. This right was given to the people by way of the Grand jury and they failed to recognize the AMERICAN GRAND JURY, that was in session and found Obama guilty of fraud and treason. They scoffed and went on their way, not one sole in office stood up for the Constitution and made them take notice and it fell by the wayside. We will triumph over this evil but if we don't get rid of all of them and start fresh they will return and probably overtake our Republic.
