Newt Gingrich made a point yesterday in the debates. He said we could bring gas down to $2.50 a gallon.
That is certainly good news to those who are now paying over $4 a gallon or especially those in Florida who are now paying $6 a gallon.
Gingrich outlines his vision in a new video his campaign has released. Gingrich talks for almost half an hour without a teleprompter. It is obvious he knows this subject. Does anyone believe Obama could talk for half a minute about any subject (with the possible exception of himself) without a teleprompter?
Gingrich’s only problem here is that he is not bold enough. Forget $2.50 a gallon gas. How about getting it down to about $1.50 a gallon or even $1 a gallon. Is it possible? Sure it is.
There are two causes to high oil prices. The supply and the weakness of the dollar. If we increased the supply and took steps to strengthen the dollar, the price of gas would fall and we would have a very quick economic recovery.
Gingrich is talking about this and no one else is.

Permalink Reply by JC Patriot on I thought that was the point I was making -- that we cannot rely on "them" to fix the problem. We have to attack that incestuous relationship, whether it is national or global. The individual should never be placed at a disadvantage by acts of government, only by better capitalist ideas and efficiencies.
By the way, "crony" and "capitalism" seem almost contradictory to me since the latter should only exist in free markets. I feel that phrase is used by the liberals in an attempt to bash capitalism as a whole. It could be called crony socialism for all I care, because it's crooked and dishonest.

Crony capitalism which includes insider trading, which includes insider trading by the entire establishment will be addressed by Newt/Palin at an appropriate time.

I'm 72 and have watched many such efforts die because someone buys the tech and suppresses it. That started way before Tesla, back in 1900 Kiele came up with a vibratory shift which created circular motion. You don't need Tesla's free energy. Too little room here to explain that.
But a water car, you simply pass water through a shifting magnetic field and bombard it with the right frequency series and the water comes apart, leaving hydrogen as the fuel. Too damn simple for dozens of scientists not to discover.
Then: most die.
But to the general reluctance of people to even think about water power. We've been brainwashed, bombarded, beyond the capability of even giving a solution credence.
God, how I hate to shovel horse s***, and ox s*** too. We'll get back there quick enough.

Permalink Reply by Russell Edmund Fowler on When gas was .25 cent, how much of it was local and govt tax on it. Now lots of it is tax for everything. The govt makes more profit from gas than the oil company. The Govt spend no money to produce the gas, they don't take a risk.

Wake up before we lose Newt as he is the answer to beating Obama and getting this country straighten out and every one should see this.
