Mitt Romney or as we like to call him, Mitt the Cowardly liberal, is still lying to the American people and the Republicans in particular.

Yes, there are a lot of lies, but there is one in particular that is worth mentioning.

Which one is it?

Mitt the cowardly liberal claims he has Tea Party support and has support from prominent Tea Party leaders.

Really?

This started when I appeared MSNBC on Monday, on Martin Bashir’s show.   I stated Tea Partiers would not support Mitt Romney.   Romney claimed on the Laura Ingraham show that he had the support of prominent Tea Party leaders.

Really?

Who?

The answer is, he does not have the support of any significant Tea Party group or leader.

Why?

Mitt Romney is a liberal.  Mitt Romney is simply John McCain 2.0.  Mitt Romney, if elected will advance a liberal agenda.

Mitt Romney has ignored the Tea Party.  His theory is simple.  He does not need us.  He will give the Tea Party lip service, just because any good politician does not go out of his way to antagonize a voting block.

For liberals, Romney is the candidate they most want to face.  The Tea Party movement at best will be lukewarm behind him and at worst many of us will simply pass on the Presidential race to concentrate on Senate and House races.  In previous polls, between one third and one half of Tea Party members surveyed said they would not vote for Romney in the general election.

(See our new Tea Party Nation Poll:  Will you vote for Mitt Romney?)

Mitt Romney, like many politicians, simply says things and expects us to accept those statements as gospel, even if they fly in the face of the facts.

The fact is Mitt Romney has no major Tea Party support.   No significant Tea Party figure has endorsed the liberal former Massachusetts governor.

The reason is the Tea Party does not support liberals.

Another statement Mitt Romney floats out that he expects us to blindly accept is that he is a conservative.  That is one of the most laughable statements in history.   If false statements could get you disqualified from running, Mitt would immediately be voted off the island for that whopper.

The truth of the matter is that Mitt Romney was a very liberal Massachusetts governor.  He claims some of his liberal decisions were necessary because he had to run in a very liberal state.    What Romney does not say, most of his most liberal decisions were made after he announced he was not running for reelection.  He signed Romneycare after he was a lame duck.  He enacted cap and trade when he was a lame duck.    He could have just said I’m not enacting any of these laws and not had to worry about it because he was not going to run for reelection.

Instead, he pushed Massachusetts even further to the left.

Now, in New Hampshire, another liberal Republican, John McCain is going to endorse Mitt Romney.    McCain pretty much tanked the GOP four years ago.  Why does anyone care what McCain thinks?   In fact, McCain’s endorsement is just another good reason not to vote for Mitt Romney, the liberal from Massachusetts.

So who endorses Mitt Romney?  Liberals?  Where are the Tea Party supporters he claims support him?  Like his claims of a conservative record, they are a figment of his imagination.

I am educated enough to know that what Obama leans towards is NOT communism....maybe somehwat socialists....but not communism..it is commets like this that make some on the right look like idiots....

@Jim D. I'm with you sir. Newt looks better the more I learn about Mitt's chance in getting the GOP nod. Mitt will lose to Obillary. Newt has the only chance to beat the Dark Side, but wont be receiv'n the nomination. It's 'not his turn', by way of GOP doctrine. Someone said,"one step at a time...". Tho Newt lacks in many depts, he can bring spending under control and balanced budgets. He may not be perfect, but one step at a time.

i respect what McCain went through in nam but i hate what he has become and i hope he loses next time in arizona. most sites i visit do not support romney. this is the republican establishment trying to tell us pee on republicans who to vote for and they need to learn that most of us resent that.

MICHELE BACHMANN...JUST DROPPED OUT! Thank you very much stupid Ron Paul!!! I hope that whomever wins takes her as the VP!!

i would like that as well katie. she is a true conservative that never wavered. she i a class act.

I agree. She is the real Conservative and a classy lady.

Meredith and James,

I am right with you guy's. She really is a Classy lady. I knew that Judson was right and that she would drop out. But I was still shocked when 15 mins ago I got that Announcement. She was not treated Fairly, and she was dismissed at the Debates. As far as her comments that the VET'S have it too easy, she was taken out of context. She was making fun of the way that Obamacare type treatments are in action for the Vets. They have a Government style Health care. It is WRONG, it is horribal. We do the Cleaning at these hospitals and we are shocked at the Services that they refuse us. Reason they will not allow us to make it 100% clean is because they are trying not too spend money. That's what she ment. It was a Mock on Obama Care.

The fact that she said things honestly and with passion provided her with a bullseye by the media and her competitors.  In her closing remarks last night, she noted that she was not a politician, and I agree with this sentiment.  That is why I supported her, volunteered for her, even donated money to her campaign.  She stood on Conservative ground and did not waver.  The fact that she was not funded by lobbyists/interest groups and the fact that Iowa still lives in the 19th century when it comes to the "role" of the woman, made her campaign that much more difficult.  I hope that she will learn from these lessons and w/o compromising on her values, run again in 2016.

i never had any doubt's about her affection for all the military. she is one of the very few politicians i really trust. i have had nothing but bad experiences with the v.a. healthcare system. to me it s an example of why we don't want government run healthcare. there are exceptions to the rule everywhere but in over 30 years they have been a nightmare for me. i hope michelle never changes and im sure good things lay ahead for her.

Personally, I would not take her to the men's room.

She is evidently still convinced that "...the vets have it too good". HER WORDS!

She is so far out of touch with main stream America she would do the world a favor if she just went home and locked the door.

Darwin,

While she stood her ground on the Conservative and Constitutional mantra in her comments; she did not do her duty as a Congresswoman and she did not honor her oath.

Most recently, she and Ron Paul neglected to vote on the NDAA.  With the provision to detain Americans in there; it is reprehensible that neither even bothered to show up or weigh in.

Prior to that; she has run (as has Paul) the other way when asked about the Sewer Rat who currently resides in our White House.  This shows weakness and we can't have that in the Oval Office.  It was a ridiculous attempt to mollify those of us who have hammered on the issue of the Usurper to merely hold up her B.C. and say she would provide hers for certification.  What she did not do speaks volumes:  she did not speak up in 2008 and object as her oath binds her to do with the knowledge we had then about the lack of eligibility.  All it takes is two legislators to oppose and she did not.  She has disregarded the many voters who might have backed her if she had only supported the necessary removal and prosecution of this fraudster.  We are not questioning her legal status; we are questioning the massive amount of hidden documentation and the money spent to hide it and fight the legal requests made of the Squatter and First Moocher who have lived like the King and Queen (or Queen and Queen) of the world on our dime and under our protest.

Has she weighed in on the money laundering and gifts to Muslim pals or the abuse of power and bypass of our checks and balances this Regime is guilty of?

She did not oppose the illegal vote taken on Obamacare.  The rules are clear: no legislation may be voted upon until all have read and understand it.  They all allowed that illegal vote even though it was acknowledged they had not read it.  Clearly, when Pelosi said...well, let's pass it and then we can find out what's in it...that was enough to stop it in its tracks.

It was over a year later when Bachmann was grandstanding about repealing Obamacare that she declared in mock surprise that it was auto funded through language in the bill.  Was she surprised?  Did she already know, but chose to mislead us?  Did she neglect to read the bill before voting?  Her nay was not enough.

She and the rest of those losers have continued to stay 'mum' on the really heinous portions of that bill and focus on only a few issues.  Why? For instance, why would they not be screaming about the provision that allows the government to monitor your personal account and make withdrawals as they deem appropriate?

It is not enough to say you 'did not know'...it is not enough to say you are a Constitutional candidate if you have demonstrated time and again that you willingly violated the Constitution and your Oath of Office.

In her two terms as a Congresswoman, how much time has she actually devoted to that job while collecting the paycheck?  Seems to me she has spent more time campaigning than doing her job.  This practice is unacceptable and is a common problem with our legislators...and it must be curtailed.  Either hold the office and work or walk away and give up the paycheck and benefits.

No legislation should be presented prior to confirmation that it follows the Constitution.  None should be voted upon if it violates our rights under the Constitution.  No legislator should stand silent on that score.  The practice of not voting so they cannot be held accountable is a cop out and should not be allowed.  A citizen can opt out; but a legislator should be recalled for doing so.  It is their job to vote or refuse on Constitutional grounds for the record.

She has played the D.C. game far too much and has, through her action and inaction, protected corrupt peers.  I am still waiting to hear if she also played the insider trading game; but her silence on that makes her an accomplice.  Her silence on legislation that protects her ranks from the same laws we are bound to makes her an accomplice.

How many years has she had to prove herself?  Too many and she failed.  As much as I want to like and support her for a lot of good reasons; she should step away and stop wasting our time with the middle school debate team mantra "I'm the best person for the job! I'm the only Constitutional candidate! I'm going to win!".

Romney is NOT going to be our  Republican candidate . I REPEAT. Romney will NOT win the Republican nomination.. How can he? More than 70% of us do NOT want him.. Since Michelle and probably Perry are dropping out, their supporters are NOT going for Romney..  Santorum or  Newt  will get their support.. And when one of those 2 drops out, the other will get our support and beat the tar out of Romney, at at least 70% of the vote.... So let us stop worrying about Romney and start discussing which one of those two can beat Obama.... We NEED to sooner or later get behind one of those 2 and UNITE to get it done.
