More good news, thanks to the Obama Regime
The environmental whackos at the EPA are now really about to sock it to people who will be suffering from what the far left calls climate change and real Americans call “winter.”

Two state utilities said this week new federal pollution rules will lead to higher electricity costs come January.
Wisconsin Public Service Corp. of Green Bay said its residential customers can expect an increase of more than $4 a month next year, including about $2 linked to the new rules designed to limit air pollution from coal-fired power plants.
The utility said it would see higher costs of about $32.6 million in 2012 from the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule that was finalized recently by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. That will result in rates going up by 6.8% instead of 3.4%, the utility said.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency last month finalized stronger regulations for Wisconsin and 26 other states aimed at curbing air pollution from long-distance sources.
Environmental groups praised the new rule because it would reduce acid rain and air pollution as well as help curb health effects from dirty air linked to coal plants. The EPA projected the rule will save up to 34,000 lives a year and prevent more than 400,000 asthma attacks as well as 19,000 admissions to hospitals.
Nationwide, the EPA estimated that utilities are projected to spend $800 million on the rule in 2014, in addition to $1.6 billion a year that's been spent to satisfy an earlier version of the regulations.
But the EPA estimates the nation will see $120 billion to $280 billion in annual health and welfare benefits beginning in 2014.
The new rule has been in development for several years but the first phase of compliance hits utilities in 2012. WPS said it won't have time to install pollution controls by next year at its plants, but will be able to comply by purchasing credits from other utilities that have cut emissions.

Let’s translate this into plain English. These new environmental regulations the Obama regime is giving us are going to cost a lot more. The claim we are going to save money through these regulations. This is the same outfit that told us Obamacare will save money and that is so much of a lie, even Obama won’t repeat it anymore. Those numbers are about up there with the silly claims of millions of jobs saved. If this economy is the result of them trying to save jobs, it’s a good thing they are not trying to destroy them. If they were, we would quickly have the same standard of living as Afghanistan. Come to think of it, isn’t that the Obama regime’s ultimate goal?
The economy is going into a death spiral thanks to Obama and his team of radicals and instead of doing something smart, like reducing regulation so that it costs less to do business, they are creating new regulations that cost more. As anyone with half a brain knows (the half a brain threshold pretty much excludes anyone in the Obama regime), a corporation passes its costs on to consumers.

Hi Wendy, I was amazed that millions missed that too. He might as well have come right out and said: " I plan to ruin your lives, make you penniless and homeless and totally subservient to my regime and will laugh at your pain while I do it" because so many people went nuts for this guy. And you're right....green jobs cost more than they save and eliminate other jobs. Liberalism....a mental disorder.

Wendy, For onnce this President has told us the truth on energy because he knew who he was installing as a Czar in the EPA. But on other topics and fronts he has out and out lied to the American public and he will pay dearly in the Election of 2012 if not before with maybe an Impeachment over the "Fast and Furious" issue but that would leave us with V.P bumbling Joe Biden not Good!

With the regs to kill coal being used for power means citys will soon be with out power, They have already stopped oil production in the US so we have to buy it over seas which costs 4 time which it should when we have the most oil in the world next to Russia. The Arabs are just about to run out of their oil reserve an need a new supply an guess where they are looking to take over the oil supply to renew their supply to sell????? They- The EPA- are doing by saying it to controll greenhouse gas that is not there. Which makes America in to a 4th would country.. Mexico will be a better country than America by the time 2012 elections come...

The EPA is 1 reason unemployment is still so high.
With all the regulations he's put om industry,it now cost a company at least 30% more to hire somebody.

The American people have hit the tipping point of extra money we have and it is now going to be a down hill slide until he is thrown out. Then maybe we can get back to getting rid of some regulations that are stopping companies.
I used to be in the HVAC industry and between the government and the state they were killing me, and most of the regulations were STUPID. I eventually closed shop because I was working 80 hours a week and seeing nothing for it. I worked for someone after that at-least then I went home and did not have a care in the world.
obozo is almost finished, we will know when we start getting the increases in inflation and now the electric rates.I say let the EPA and the rest of them be privately funded and see how far they get.

"a corporation passes its costs on to consumers." Just in case clarification is needed, this statement applies to all businesses, incorporated or not.
That includes the cost of all taxes of all kinds that are paid using money from the business' revenue stream. Since the employees of a business are paid using money from the revenue stream, that means that the cost of all of the taxes of all kinds that are paid by the employees of a business are a part of the cost that is embedded in the prices that are being paid by the customers of every business.
Here's the hoot! When the customers of a business are governments then a part of the prices that are being paid is the cost of the taxes of all kinds that are beiing paid to governments using money from the income revenue stream of the business.
Our 27,000 or so governments are by far the most prominent root cause of each others' financial difficulties. When aggregate government percentage of GDP increases there will be a commensurate increase in the severity of the financial difficulties that our governments are causing for each other.
The systemic situation would be absolutely hilarious if it our governments, collectively, were not so sadly inept and incompetent.
