Thursday night, after the debate, ABC News is going to air an interview with Newt Gingrich’s second wife.
Based on the initial buzz about the interview, it is safe to say she is not running for President of the Newt fan club.
We all know why they are doing this. Sex sells. Scorned women sell. Newt has gotten the best of the drive by media so now it is payback time. This is the equivalent of an October surprise. The story will be aired and Newt and his team will have Friday to try and do damage control.
Everyone knows Newt had an affair on his second wife. Thirteen years later, she seems to still be hacked.
So what?
The media seems obsessed with what we already know. Newt had affairs years ago. He has also said that he changed his life after converting to Catholicism. If he were still having affairs and doing other things, this might be a story.
It isn’t.
But if the media is so interested in digging into the pasts of candidates, could we suggest they start with Barack Obama.
If a candidate’s personal life is fair game, then perhaps we should look at Obama’s life. Why don’t we start with Larry Sinclair?
In 1999, while Newt Gingrich was allegedly having an affair, a then married Obama allegedly had sex with Larry Sinclair and smoked cocaine with him. If Newt’s infidelities are fair game, shouldn’t Obama’s be? Larry Sinclair has apparently been quite willing to talk to the media and even has some evidence in the form of text messages and phone records. No interest from the media and some how, I do not think they will be talking to him anytime between now and November.
There are a lot of other things in Obama’s life that it would be nice if the media showed as much interest in as they do in Gingrich’s personal life.
In 1981, Obama allegedly traveled to Pakistan. That was a pretty neat trick since someone using an American passport could not travel to Pakistan then. So what passport did he use? If it were the passport of Indonesia, it would support the claim that Obama lost or renounced his American citizenship.
What about Obama’s school records? Many people have claimed that Obama first went to Occidental College on a scholarship program reserved for foreign students. A simple examination of his school records would resolve this issue. Why is the media not asking for these records?
How did Obama who was by his own admission not a great student get into first Columbia and then into Harvard? And who paid his bills? Harvard tuition is not cheap. Who foot the bill? Why are all of those records not released?
What about Obama’s social security number? Back when Obama was a child, people did not apply for their social security number until they were sixteen or so and started working. Obama by all accounts was in Hawaii. Yet his social security number is a Connecticut social security number. Obama had no contact with that state until many years later. How did he end up with this number? Why does his social security number fail an E-verify test when run?
Why was Michelle Obama’s law license suspended? Four years after graduating law school from Harvard no less, her law license was suspended. Now Obama’s is too. Why?
Bill and Hillary Clinton kept their law licenses. Bill only lost his as a part of a plea bargain he struck with the special prosecutor on the last day of his term.
Why are none of these questions asked by the drive by media?
In the next 48 hours we will hear all about Newt and whatever bad things his ex-wife has to say about him.
Unfortunately for America, ABC, the official channel of the Democrat Party is hitting a conservative candidate with a hit piece about things he did thirteen years ago and he will not have time to recover from.
Maybe we all need to just turn off ABC for the next thirteen years.

Cain was brought down by supposed allegations by women wanting their fifteen minutes of fame. Now it Newts turn.

If there was such an animal, maybe our side would have something akin to equal time. INternet sites like this are nice but not as easy for the swarms of folks who love their TV's.

Fox News has been the favorite target of the left, often being called "Faux News", but the attacks have done nothing but increase the number of people who watch Fox.
On the left, MSNBC has been on the decline, the abrupt "departure" of Keith Olbermann didn't do them any good and the Ed Shultz audience is apparently shrinking. Who is left, Rachael Maddow, and Lawrence O'Donnell?

I read a letter to the editor in my local paper this morning from someone comparing Occupy Wall Street "protestors" to the founding fathers, calling them both "anarchists".
Our founding fathers were anything but anarchists.

All I can say is... it's a slow news day for Liberals when they have to keep bringing up a past which may, or may not, have occurred on every Conservative candidate running against their mighty king.
Disney is even featuring "mad" Michelle on one of children's programs in an attempt to help spin the very real persona she exhibits.
Turn off ABC and tune out Disney - they will respond to market pressure.
