If Ron Paul were not a congressman or a Presidential candidate, would he even be allowed to wander the streets? Would he show up on the Secret Service’s threat list?
Perhaps the bigger question is how someone who puts forth such crazy statements is even considered a serious candidate in the Republican Party?
Ron Paul’s stump speeches sound like the ramblings of someone in serious need of a nice quiet and padded room, assisted by some really nice people in white coats.
If you listened to Ron Paul, you would think that we live in a Marxist state where someone who disagrees with our dear leader is simply shot down in the streets. If you listen to Ron Paul, the border fence that most sane Americans want is our version of the Berlin Wall.
Nothing Ron Paul rants about with domestic policy equals his lunacy on foreign policy. He has worked very hard with Barney Frank to gut the size of the military and thinks that there is nothing wrong with Iran having the bomb.
For Ron Paul, paranoid delusions seem to be the order of the day.
Perhaps the bigger question is why Republicans tolerate Ron Paul.
He is not a Republican. He is the proverbial RINO in that he is really a Libertarian but cannot win an election so he runs as a Republican.
As disturbing as Ron Paul is, many of his followers are more disturbing. There are some of Ron Paul’s supporters who are sane people. They are people who will sit down with you and debate the issues fairly and in the end accept that you have the right to disagree. Regrettably, most of Ron Paul’s supporters are not that way.
Talk show host Mark Levin tagged them with a very accurate description a few months back and he is right. Most Ron Paul supporters despise the very liberty that they claim to support. Ron Paul supporters will not allow people to disagree with them.
What is freedom if it is not the right to make up your own mind? Perhaps someone should tell that to Ron Paul and his supporters. They are so obnoxious that Erick Erickson over at Red State has banned most Ron Paul supporters from his site and we have kicked quite a few off of Tea Party Nation for that very reason.
If this is what Ron Paul supporters really stand for, which is nothing more than tyranny, what does Ron Paul really stand for? If Ron Paul supporters are so militant in denying other people the right to speak and the right to choose, what does Ron Paul really believe?
Fortunately Ron Paul is probably not going to get the GOP nomination. But the damage he continues to do in the Republican primary cannot be understated.
Permalink Reply by Gary Chappelle on January 10, 2012 at 12:05pm No. Ron Paul supporters believe that our government should abide by the Constitution, as he does. Apparently, a lot of Republicans and some Tea Party members don't agree.

Permalink Reply by Camilla on January 10, 2012 at 12:17pm You are right Gary.......but he is running as a Republican in error.......he should be true to himself first. He is NOT a Republican but rides on the tailcoats so he can be part of the Republican debates so he can get his message out there.....He is NOT A REPUBLICAN.........to me he's kind of a user
Permalink Reply by MUG on January 10, 2012 at 12:14pm Ron Paul doesn't understand Fairy Tales, let alone the Constitution.
He sounds like he is abusing prescription drugs when he tries to explain the concept of Commander in Chief, or Sovereign Nation, or Illegal Immigration, or just about anything Presidential except Currency and Banking.

You say, "stump speeches sound like the ramblings of someone in serious need of a nice quiet and padded room". Many can say the same about you. You always say that Paul supporters dont accept anything but their own beliefs but then you ramble on about how no body is right but you and that everyone else is crazy or stupid. Your propaganda is hurting the peoples movement and when someone disagrees you belittle them. YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN THOSE THAT YOU HYPOCRITICALLY SLANDER FOR YOUR OWN ADGENDA!!! What the h*** is wrong with you. I stay a member of this site and read almost every article put out. Not because of the information I want to hear but because of the information I dont want to hear. Why? The information that makes people mad, upset and worried is what needs to told. Wiith that said , I do believe that Gingrich would be a good prez. Not because he is smart and a strong leader BUT ONLY BECAUSE HE'LL BE GETTING PAID TO. Once out of office he'll go right back to his old crony capitalism ways.
What should he do when he gets out of office Ryan? Maybe check himself into an old folks home? What would you do?
Permalink Reply by Ryan Akers on January 11, 2012 at 12:31am I would do what makes me happy. Open a restaurant and spend time with my family. The same exact thing I do now. I fully accept that people can do what they want, when they want and where they want... As long as it does not directly or indirectly effect an others life, liberty or property. Personally I believe that no politician should be able to work with ANY government affiliated group, company, etc after leaving office because they may make choices that no longer benefit the country, only themselves. Ever heard of the term "loose lips sink ships"? Dont you think that that information they have and use to enrich themselves could be a national security threat? Do you really want someone who is known for selling that information to receive even more info that could be used against us? Sleep on that...

Permalink Reply by Dona Brown on January 10, 2012 at 1:07pm Interesting that so many who disagree are called "trolls!" I don't agree with much of what I'm reading, but I'm a patriotic, conservative, Christian member of the Tea Party, (not only TPN), and I educate myself and make up my own mind on the issues and the candidates. I will not be spoon-fed info from any source.
