Liberals link Oslo gunman to Tea Party, Sarah Palin

Just as they did after the Tucson shootings that left Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords fighting for her life with a bullet would to the head, liberals are rushing to connect Anders Behring Breivik - the Norwegian being held responsible for the bombings and mass murder in Oslo - with Sarah Palin and the Tea Party.

Edward Teller writes at Firedoglake:

The bombing-shootings took up enormous bandwidth in our media machine until it came out that the alleged perpetrator has more in common with Sarah Palin and Alan Dershowitz than with Rachel Corrie or Furkan Doğan, both of whom have been labelled terrorists by Dershowitz.

Thomas Ferdousi notes that angry leftists at Democratic Underground are also linking the Norwegian to Palin and the Tea Party.

Ferdousi also notes a comment left at the Huffington Post:

"Anders Brevik - good looking

Sarah Palin - good looking

Michele Bachmann - good looking

Are all terrorist attractive (sic)"

He writes the "stupids are out on Twitter, as well," pushing the Breivik/Palin link "through analogy..."

But questions have surfaced about Breivik's Facebook page that claims he is a Christian conservative.

Pamela Gellar of Atlas Shrugged notes there are apparently discrepancies in his page:

While the leftist and Islamic supremacist ghouls rush to portray Norway mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik as a Christian and even as an anti-jihadist, the unanswered questions multiply. Why did a jihad group take credit for the atrocities, and then retract? And who altered the murderer's Facebook page? Yesterday, at the time that his name was released, his Facebook page looked like this (hat tip Vivien for the screenshot)

Gellar shows screenshots of Breivik's page before and after his name was released.  The original is in Norwegian and doesn't mention his religion, while the second is in English, and is completely different from the original.

A post at solidprinciples.com asks three important questions:

1: Why is there a version of Anders Behring Breivik’s Facebook profile not showing Christian / Conservative?  Even Google’s cache of the Facebook profile retrieved on Jul 22, 2011 23:52:36 GMT supports this factor.

2: How was Christian / Conservative added prior to the profile being removed from Facebook? If our PDF was printed out/saved at Jul 23 01:39 GMT, and the profile was deleted soon afterwards by Facebook, how was a detained Anders Behring Breivik able to change it?  

3: Which then needs to be asked, Who had access to in changing the Profile before it was removed?

The same post asks:

If this profile is indeed a fake, and Wikipedia admins have removed it due to legitimacy issues, why are so many in the media still quoting from it rather than looking to debunk it?  Has this been another incident of jumping to conclusion without waiting to check the facts?  It seems the Wikipedia discussion page confirms the PDF link was removed after the FB Page admin deemed the link  “Not WP RS” (Reliable Sources)
