Obama wants to gut defense spending. He wants to eliminate almost every effective program the military has. There is one area where he is not cutting and where the budget should now be cut. In fact, it should not only be cut, it should be slashed. It should be zeroed out.
What is it?
It is the funding for 89th Military Air Wing. This is the Air Force Unit that is responsible for VIP transportation. In other words, it is the home to Air Force One.
Air Force One now costs almost $200,000 an hour to operate. And that is just for the one plane. That does not take into account what else must be used when Obama travels. Not only do you have Air Force One, you have helicopters and other transport aircraft to transport his limousine, plus you have literally hundreds of personnel who have to be transported for a Presidential visit.
ABC News recently reported that Obama took a three state trip on Air Force One. He had two “official” events and eight fundraisers. His trip is estimated to cost the taxpayers $2.1 million and that is just for Air Force One.
That figure again does not even begin to take into account the other expenses when Obama goes on the road.
Obama wants to kill our military. He is working hard to destroy the F-35 program. We need F-35’s a lot more than we need Obama tooling around the skies.
America is $15 trillion in debt. Our per capita debt is now greater than any other country in Europe and probably in the world.
Obama doesn’t care. As long has he has Air Force One to ride around in for fundraisers, he is happy. He does not care about the Americans out of work. He does not care that he is weakening America’s military so that soon we will not only not be the strongest nation in the world, we will not even be a super power.
Of course, that would make Obama happy, since he believes America is the focus of evil in the modern world.
Regrettably we do not have Republican leadership with any courage. Instead of stopping Obama’s wild spending and redirecting our resources to the priorities the nation should have, they simply roll over.
Perhaps one Republican in Congress would have the courage to draft a bill to eliminate funding for Air Force One and the 89th Military Air Wing. The bill would go no place because the 89th MAW also provides VIP transportation for members of Congress when they are on their junkets, er, fact finding trips.
Obama should enjoy his trips on Air Force One now. They will come to an end next January.

It is not the President IT IS ALL OF THEM save a few freshman reps etc. They share a common mindset. Gross ignorance and asleep at the switch. The only way this country will change is to clean DC out. It may take more than one election but this is what we need to focus on. Obama wants to be the leader, good. He is the first to go and he can lead the rest either to jail or the unemployment line.
This will end the corrupt lobbyist circus and right on down the line. Any from that point on who dop not represent the will of the legal majority, will be out before their term is up. Impeachment needs to be active

Obama has out done Bush more that 2 to one flying AirForce One. Obama to me is living on AirForce One.
