Ladies and Gentlemen, the Teleprompter of the United States!


 

 

Obama teleprompter jokes have become legendary.  It is referred to as TOTUS, a take off on POTUS or President of the United States.  Obama cannot give a speech without one. 

 

While Obama and his teleprompter have become something of a joke, spending by the White House is not a joke.  The White House, according to the Washington Times, is spending $100,000 of taxpayers’ money on an outside “media coach.”

 

You cannot make this stuff up.

 

Michael Sheehan, who is a long time Democratic media guru, has secured a $100,000 contract with the White House.  Hillary Clinton described him as the man who helped her “master the teleprompter.”

 

Great!  Tax dollars are going to help provide Obama with a teleprompter coach.

 

Sheehan’s company has received $60,000 from the White House for consulting services since 2009.  The White House has also spent $100,000 on a speechwriting contract for Joe Biden. 

 

Over the last two years, the White House has spent over a quarter of a million dollars just on speech writing consultants.  

 

The White House has seven speechwriters.  They are paid a total almost $700,000.  The Chief speechwriter makes almost $175,000 a year! 

 

How many speeches does Obama give a year?  Why are we paying for consultants, whose sole job is to make Obama look good?

 

America is in the throes of the Obama economy.  This is the worst economic downturn since the great depression.  You would never know it in the Obama regime. 

 

As gas goes above $4 a gallon and by Memorial Day it is predicted to be about $5 a gallon, and many Americans are having to make painful decisions about spending, why are we using our tax dollars to give Obama a teleprompter coach?

 

How many speechwriters does one man need?  We are running record deficits and have a record national debt.  Our government needs to start doing some serious belt tightening. 

 

Sheehen has a long history with the Democratic Party.  He has coached every Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate as well as major convention speakers for the Democrats since 1988.   Hillary Clinton’s praise of him is effusive. 

 

The dirty secret of Democrat politics is that when Democrats get into power, part of their view of the government and taxpayers is that they exist to help Democratic politicians reward those who have helped them get into power.

 

Sheehan is a Democratic Party enabler.  If Obama feels like he needs a teleprompter coach, let him pay for it himself.  He is a multimillionaire.  After all, as he has said, this is a time for shared sacrifice, so Obama’s sacrifice should be he foots the bill for this himself.  After all, he is among the wealthy that he is always saying should pay their fair share.

 

Of course, we know that never applies to liberals, who simply want others to pay.

 

Meanwhile, as Congress looks for ways to slash the budget, eliminating these consulting contracts for the White House and cutting the White House speech-writing department would be a small but significant step.

The scary part is that these nefariously educated fools have the right to vote and of course the pinhead in the White House will be their candidate of choice. Once these know nothings get a job in the real world (which could be never the way Obamalamadingdong is destroy our economy), they will realize with their ignorance of the real world, they have shot themselves in the foot. If you want to see just how stupid the so called educated masses are, just watch Jay Leno when he does the man on the street interviews. Wow, you talk about blatant stupidity!!!!

This of course you will never hear about in the "Lame Stream Media" or on FOX News for that matter. I send alot of stuff to Fox news that I hear or see on the web and I have yet to see or hear anyone speak about the BS that goes on up there unless it is in Obama's favor. Makes you wonder alot about this country and the path that the Liberals have chosen to put us on...A destructive course to oblivion!!

Consider this a "me, too" post!

 

Taxpayers paying for presidential speechwriters AND coaches masks the nature of the man. The president is in a sense less 'real' because of this.

 

When I visit the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials in D.C., and read the words on the wall... I am utterly moved by those words. That eloquence, that honesty - came from their minds directly, and not from someone else.

 

Perhaps we need to refer to our president as editor-in-chief?

I definately have a problem with this too.  This is just another example where they have a total disregard for taxpayer money, as though they feel that the taxpayer owes obama the responsibility to get him reelected.  They should be using campaign money, they seem to have alot of it.

Let Freedom Ring: Congress has too much access to our money, that's the problem.

They can tax us into poverty while they spend and spend. That's why the Fair Tax is bogus, it does not prevent congress from increasing taxes or limit their spending.

Also bogus is the balanced budget amendment because it also does not limit spending it only requires the congress to balance the budget.  "BY RAISING TAXES" CAlifornia has a balanced budget law, did it stop them from spending?  NO! It did nothing but lead to higher taxes and new taxes.

If your dog has fleas would you start picking out the fleas one by one?
Of course not! The fleas would reproduce a hundred times faster than you can pick them off your dog.
The more expedient method is to apply a flea control product which eliminates the fleas in minutes and keeps them away for weeks.
Well the current approach on resolving federal governmental issues is the same as picking out fleas one at a time.
I submit the following approach is far more intelligent and WHEN enacted will prevent the same old issues from resurfacing.
The Republicans and the Democrats only want what will enhance their party’s influence and power. Their first thoughts are not for the people or the country only for their own selfish interests.
The solution is very evident, but you don’t hear any politician or talk show host propose it.
Why not? MONEY!
The root problem is the tax structure!
The federal government gets into every ones pockets before the state and local authorities.
The federal government (congress) can lay taxes on every man woman, child and every business in the United States. The power to levy taxes, reduce taxes or exempt certain party’s from taxes is the power our congressional representatives crave and treasure.
The greater the revenue flow to the federal coffers the greater their power.
This is the root of our country’s problems.
It’s the golden rule. Whom ever has the gold makes the rules, and congress has the gold and can get more simply by passing a congressional bill to increased taxes which further increases their power.
We can change this!
Under the constitution two thirds of the states, collectively, have the power to put forth a proposed constitutional amendment and force a constitutional debate to amend the constitutional taxing authority.
The reason the underlying problem is never addressed is due to the greed of the congress.
It doesn’t take much imagination to understand why the congress is opposed to amending the taxing authority of the federal government. As I stated above it is what gives them the POWER.
If two thirds of the states voted to amend the U.S. Constitution so as to limit congressional taxing authority to only a flat tax on the gross receipts of the states, then the power would switch from the congress to the states respectively. As it was originally intended.
What happened to the 10th amendment? The sovereignty of the states was doomed with the approval of the 16th amendment and the 17th amendment only made it worse.
My Proposal simply put is as follows:
"Repeal of the 16th and 17th amendments, repeal the authorization allowing the congress to levy impost, tariffs and excise taxes.
Replace these with congressional taxing authorization to levy only a flat income tax on the gross receipts of the states, ( no tax deductions for the states otherwise the state legislatures will not control their spending) and authorize the governors of each state to appoint gubernatorial cabinet members who serve at the pleasure of the governor as U.S. senators."
This would limit the term of office of the senators to no longer than that of the governor who appointed them and perhaps even a shorter term since the governor can replace them at his own discretion.
I believe these constitutional changes will change the entire political landscape in the congress and in the state legislatures.
The changes, when enacted, will place the power with the states not the congress.
We know it takes only 60 votes in the senate to defeat any bill, any judicial appointment, any treaty, proposed environmental regulations which would impact business negatively and stunt financial growth, etc. etc.
Since the U.S. senators would serve at the pleasure of their governor they will be advised to vote as they are directed or be replaced.
Since the federal government would be limited to a flat income tax on the state’s treasury any bill proposing an increase in that tax come under certain resistance by the states and their senate representatives.
I want to point out that it is important that the states shall not have any income tax deductions!
The flat tax must be on the gross, gross state income "from whatever source derived" and NO TAX DEDUCTIONS.
If a tax increase should pass the state would have two options.
Either raise state taxes or reduce spending.
Under the proposed solution if state taxes are increased the state shoots itself in the foot because it will now pay more tax dollars to the federal government since the tax is on the gross and there are NO deductions.
If the states are allowed deductions the state taxes and spending will not be controlled.
It is also important that the congress does not have any other taxing authority.
That is why it is necessary to repeal the tariff and impost taxing authority as well as the income tax.
Otherwise the congress would press for a sales taxes such as the tax on gasoline, tires, car batteries, air fares, utilities and various imported items etc..
These taxing avenues should be the option of the states alone,
In this manner the states could compete for businesses among themselves.
Depending the approach a state takes it will either increase business or discourage new business.
The taxing power lies entirely with the states and therefore lobbying will be confined only to the state legislatures. Businesses residing and/or conducting business within a given state would lobby the state legislature not the congress.
Also, party politics at the congressional level becomes greatly reduced since the welfare of the states are the primary focus not the political parties.
The 10th amendment will once again have meaning and the people of each state can elect officials which provide the governance most suited for their state’s lifestyle..
Congressional spending would have to be approved by the states through their gubernatorial senate members.
How much taxpayer money would you expect to be approved for the ACLU, the WEA, ACORN and other activist groups which actively corrupt the intent of our constitution.
All operational expenses of the federal government programs and constitutional responsibilities will come from the flat income tax on the states.
The percentage of the flat tax must be allowed to fluctuate through statue law in order to allow for adjustment if necessary.
The people and businesses will only be taxed by their state and /or local community and not by the federal government.
No federal : income tax, no death tax, no payroll tax, no excise tax, no tariffs, no telephone tax, no utility tax, no federal taxes of any kind.
The states would be the primary taxing authority for individuals and businesses within their borders creating 50 virtually independent economies.
The states determine which taxing method is best suited for their state.
Summary:
The federal government only has 50 income tax returns to process.
The taxing authority is closer to the people and therefore the type of taxes will be more suited to the conditions of the state.
Career blowhard self-important senators are a thing of the past.
The states, not the senators, not the federal government direct their own economic destinies.
The states have a direct input to every bill in the congress.
Elimination of nationwide recessions.
Reduction of federal corruption.
Preservation of individual liberties.
Again it takes two thirds of the states to force this debate in the congress and bring this to the nation’s attention.
Now this is a plan!
Stop picking at the fleas one at a time and propose a complete solution.

Cutting the White House speech giver would be a huge and signifcant step.  Did he regret his decision to order the Seals to go ahead with bin Laden because they were friends a long time ago?  Did Obama hope bin Laden would never be found?  Many Americans will suffer because of this president's choices.  Obama does have a hidden agenda that many people don't want to admit and it is tied directly to the Middle East.

First of all we don't even want to HEAR HIM SPEAK!! So that right there makes it too much that we are spending! Second why is it that liberals can't DO ANYTHING THEMSELFS? NOTHING, ZIP, ZERO, ZILCH! It is amazing. There is a youtube Video..it is a "Movie Trailer." called the Presidents speech...if you want to die laughing I highly suggest watching this. :)

We are about to have a financial Collaspe in the upcoming year...my hubby and some friends of ours are prepping for this..we have a high food Stroage, we have blankets that are on reserve, we have gas and prepped that as well, we have all that you can imagin. WE have monet set aside...ect...and this idiot is spending money on speeches that we just don't want to hear? ARE YOU FRIGGEN KIDDING ME? Maybe they need to seek major help with a Doctor because they jsut can't stop this spending Spree....they are making my Husbands EX-WIFE look like a saver. Good GOD!! This should not be allowed! SICK..JUST SICK!
