If you want to know why a conservative agenda has been bottled up in the House of Representatives, there is one simple answer. If you want to know why Obamacare has not been repealed, there is one simple answer. If you want to know why Obamacare has not even been defunded, there is one simple answer. If you want to know why spending is higher under a Republican Congress than when Nancy Pelosi controlled the House of Representatives, there is one simple answer.
What is it?
It is John Boehner.
Boehner appeared on Greta Van Susteren’s show last night and he made it very clear, he is the problem.

Boehner commented on Paul Ryan’s selection as the Republican Vice Presidential nominee. He said:
I mean, I think that he's a practical conservative. He's got a very conservative voting record, but he's not a knuckle-dragger, all right? He understood that TARP, while none of us wanted to do it, if we were going to save -- save our economy, save the world economy, it had to happen. I wish we didn't have to do it, either, but he understood that.
One of the reasons conservatism is not on the attack is because those who are leading in Congress, namely John Boehner, is a big government Republican.
Boehner clearly views conservatives and the Tea Party with contempt. After all, we are only knuckle draggers.
Perhaps John Boehner should buy a clue.
It is we “knuckle draggers” that put him in the Speaker’s chair. We tried it his way in 2006 and 2008.
What were those results?
The Republicans had their heads handed to them. They were put on the political endangered species list.
If it were not for us knuckle draggers, Boehner would still be toiling away as the minority leader of a small minority.
Those of us who are “knuckle draggers” as John boy likes to call us realize something he does not.
The current fiscal path of this nation is unsustainable. We understand that liberty and freedom must be fought for and we understand that big government is the antithesis of liberty and freedom.
Insulting your base is not a great way to maintain control of Congress.
Most Tea Party people are uniting behind Romney and Ryan. Our short-term goals are to get Obama out of office and put Harry Reid far from any position of authority.
But after January, these issues will be revisited.
The Tea Party movement as born as real American pushed back against the Obama, Pelosi, Reid axis of fiscal evil. We asked for change and instead we got John Boehner’s freshly laundered white flag of surrender.
Either Boehner starts understanding what the people want or he may find the people demanding that we have a new Speaker.

His time is up. We should all stand loudly and have Boehner, Cantor and Mccarthy removed this cycle. Otherwise, we are no better than he in our acceptance of this idiocy.

He's made it plain who he is and what he thinks and by the way, what does he bring -- other than obstruction to our goals -- that any number of others don't have? His comment to Greta was the kind of comment that someone who desperately wants to be a member of a club would say to a current member. He's distancing himself from "them". He needs for her to like him, like a child. However,"them", happens to be millions and millions of Americans.
Let's get him out of there in January! Then he can go play with all his friends and not worry about what grown men and women need and want.

It's not a business nor should it be a career. You are there to service the people. It's not a business you run or a long term career you should have. Get my point.

Yes J. Boehner is inept. The problem that I have is that most of the congressmen up there are inept. So who do we replace him with? My congressman sure isn't the one. A couple of the Tea Party candidates from last election might do the trick. Suggestions?

They now call themselves the New Progressive Party.

Permalink Reply by Bob Green on Do House rules permit a Speaker to be "recalled" in the middle of the session...in this case for breaking his promise to the American people [See my post of his pledge from yesterday.] and for failing in his Constitutional duty to issue articles of Impeachment for (at least) Eric Holder (for ignoring subpoenas to produce Fast and Furious records and (justifiably) Barack Obama (for usurping Congressional powers by repeatedly circumventing Congress???
