If you are a real American, you might want to say no to New York City. If you believe in Constitutional Rights, you might want to say no to New York City.
What is so wrong with New York City?
New York City is Constitution free zone.
Back in December, Tea Party Patriots leader Mark Meckler was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm. Meckler had a California carry permit, which is not valid in New York. While following the correct procedures for shipping a firearm on an aircraft, he was arrested for violating New York law.
A couple of weeks later, Meredith Graves, a fourth year medical student from Tennessee was arrested at the 9/11 memorial, after seeing the sign that says no gun and asking where she could secure her gun. She had a concealed carry permit from Tennessee.
Recently a former Marine, Ryan Jerome was arrested at the Empire State Building. He too saw a sign saying no guns and asked where he could secure his gun. In Jerome’s case, he had looked online and received some very bad information that made him think his concealed carry permit was valid in New York.
New York politicians are in complete panic. While they are not that concerned about Meckler’s case, with Graves and now Jerome’s case, they are in a panic that New York’s draconian gun control laws will cause a public relations nightmare for NYC.
Perhaps someone should tell the politicians of New York, the problem is not public relations, the problem is you have stupid laws that run afoul of the Constitution.
There is at least one possible solution, H.R. 822 the National Right to Carry Reciprocity Act, which would require every state to recognize other states’ concealed carry permits.
New Yorkers are no longer citizens, they are victims. New York’s laws have stripped them of the right to bear arms and defend themselves. Does anyone really think that criminals are going to pay attention to the signs that say no guns at the WTC memorial or the Empire State Building?
The real problem is that liberals now control New York. The key word here is control. Liberals do not believe in governance. They believe in control. They want to control every aspect of someone’s life. From protecting yourself, to what you can say or even what you can eat, liberals want to control everything.
Unfortunately for Americans caught in New York and other liberal havens, liberalism sucks. It is a complete failure. Most intelligent people will try something and if it fails, they learn from their failure and will do something different.
Not liberals.
Liberalism has a huge track record of failure. In fact, you would be hard pressed to think of ANYTHING liberals have championed that could be called a success. It is all but impossible to think of something they have championed that is consistent with liberty and freedom.
New York needs to repeal its draconian gun control laws. They have done nothing but disarm the law-abiding citizens while criminals still have guns. There is a reason why our founding fathers thought the right to keep and bear arms was important enough to include in the Constitution.
That Constitution still applies today.
Even in New York City.

the poor suckers who live and work in the city and near questionable neighborhoods are the real victims.
I want to see a bill passed.. that if you are on welfare and continue to have kids, it's child endangerment. but then what do you do.. what a mess..
The streets are run, at least in DC, by youth who have no authority figure, and could care less about laws and repercussions.

Permalink Reply by LandisRogers on If you like a city that is politically controlled by unions, welfare-recepients, foreign influences (United Nations, for instance), wealthy liberals who made money from American values, capitalism and opportunities here, but would deny it to others (think Mayor Bloomberg)., then you should live there. Is it any wonder that ten years after the 9-11 attacks and destruction on the World Trade Center with tremendous loss of life, you have a Jewish mayor pushing for a Muslim mosque to rise from the ashes of Ground Zero? Liberalism is truly a mental disorder as so accurately described by Michael Savage. It should be no surprise that NYC would disarm it's citizens. The culture there would have no tolerance for the Constitutional rights of its citizens to keep and bear arms. By the way, how is that Sullivan Act of disarming its citizenry working out with their criminal population?
Permalink Reply by Katie Kalpin on I alway's have and alway's will HATE NY City. I refuse to go there and as it turns out I have to alot for my friggen job. They are VERY Anti-Constitutional there. It's almost like being in Russia lol. In NJ, a man had just moved there from a Gun friendly state, he did EVERYTHING he was suppost to do, one day not long after he moved to NJ (He even called the State Troopers btw to make sure he was doing the right thing.) he was cleaning his gun outside and one of his nosey selfish neighbors saw him doing that. SOOOOO They called the Cops, so they came, he showed that they were all legal and all was good....THEY ARRESTED HIM ANYWAY! Well people had a FIT, and it got back to Chris Christie and he was TICKED that he was arrested and released him ASAP! It was a GREAT justice for him and bad for that JERK Neighbor. The other neighbors shund them. It was great. BUT NY city is FULL of wimps. I feel so bad for the good Tea Party Patriots of NY city. They are living in a nightmare, like those in Cali and Chicago! This HAS GOT TO STOP! I will continue to refuse to go there and I will tell my people not to go there any more either and I am going to write a schathing (sp?) letter to that loser Mayor. He is the biggest Anti Gun JERK that I have ever seen!

Most of these people that we call liberals or claim to be liberals are really communist. They hide behind the term liberal to deceive people from what they really are.
True freedom loving Americans must wake up to the fact that the communist party is alive and well in America.

Permalink Reply by Henry L. Blake on Yes, the way it is supposed to work is that a citizen carries his weapon freely by choice and that is not questioned. The only way the police should be weapons-involved is if he commits a crime using that weapon, which means he must draw it or threaten to use it against another person. If he uses his fists against another person he may be arrested but his weapon and ammunition must be returned to him when he is released.

You are right Brother ! Grandpa, said when he was a boy...he road the train (with his Dad and brothers) from Slocomb to Dothan (Poplar Head) Alabama (20 miles). Stayed all day & at night men would walk around town with rifles and shotguns over their shoulder. Just like the Cowboy movies. They did not do this out on the farm around Hartford but that would suit me now if they would like because "The Threat is imminent Just like in Israel".
