During the time of the worst President of the 20th Century, the sanctimonious fool lectured us that, “it was time for us to get over our inordinate fear of communism.”
Has the Obama regime hit its Jimmy Carter moment?
From Breitbart:
Today, the National Journal reported that a senior State Department official has announced, “The war on terror is over.”
“Now that we have killed most of al Qaida,” the source said, “now that people have come to see legitimate means of expression, people who once might have gone into al Qaida see an opportunity for a legitimate Islamism.”
The article itself describes the Obama administration’s new vision of foreign policy, which admits no enemies. Everyone, in this view, is a friend. Islamism, says the Obama administration, is just fine, so long as it does not openly support terrorism.
Obama has created the brave new Middle East – a Middle East that assumes that every human heart has the desire to vote, but not to be truly free; a Middle East that oppresses women and gays and minorities, but pretends at liberalism; a Middle East that despises America but hides that hate behind a façade of multiculturalism, even as it disposes of its internal dissenters.
In truth, Obama isn’t declaring an end to the war on terror – terrorism continues unabated each day in Egypt and the Palestinian territories and Iraq and Afghanistan and Sudan and Yemen and Syria and Lebanon and a dozen other hotspots around the globe. Obama is truly declaring an end to the war on Islamism. He has made his peace; he has surrendered. In doing so, he has condemned broad swaths of the world to darkness, and more immediately, he has condemned America to a defensive position in the world. Now there is no proactive America shaping the world to her own ends. Now there is only an atomistic world, a series of billiard balls, in which America waits to be struck before bouncing back.
Could someone please explain how this fool got into the Presidency? Oh wait, I remember, the Republicans nominated a bigger fool.
While I had a lot of disagreements with George Bush, he was at least willing to defend the United States. Bush, like Obama, would not identify our enemy as Islam.
Islam is the evil we are destined to face as the generation before us faced Nazism and Communism.
Unfortunately, America has no greatest generation to arise now. We have a society that is increasingly composed of takers not makers and we have leaders in Washington who no longer believe in the greatness of America. We have one of our two major parties that believes we are the enemy and we should do nothing to make America great or even defend ourselves against aggression.
This is only one of Obama’s Jimmy Carter moments.
At least Carter can rest easy that he is no longer the worst President in American history.

I'm with you on that but I want to see them all tried for treason. I'm so angry and tired of what of they are doing to our country.
Permalink Reply by Paul Szemanczky on April 24, 2012 at 8:01am As the Year 2009 was ending Iranian President Ahmadinejad publically insulted Obama's coy attempt ("feckless and floating" said Krauthammer - 1/20/10) to tell Iran to stop a nuclear enrichment program. Since then, we know Ahmadinejad and Hussein O'Bummer are interlocked in the destruction of Israel's sovereignty and the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood, which will be revealed by Glenn Beck this Wednesday on his program, as well as others. Ahmadinejad told O'Bummer: Iran will continue resisting until the U.S. has gotten rid of its 8,000 nuclear warheads. So far we have lost three and one-half years of "squandered opportunities" to dissuade Iran, as the media here protects the Muslim leader who is President of the US, only to find he effortlessly wants to meet with Putin to disarm us to the wishes of the Iranian president...as was his game plan 39 months ago. He is surrendering our store because he is losing in the polls and thus weakened as a dictator plunging forward with intimidating executive orders trying to disarm the Legislature's and Court's roles. The Muslim president of the US is a shameful liar who must be removed from power and harassed by the unyielding vocal opposition in a huge series of rallies that coincide with the Tea Party Express tours.

Make "One Big Charred Pit" of that "Sand Hole". This is All that will stop these maniacs.

Paul, I saw GB's "Rumors of War III this Wednesday. It was terrifying, but a must see. I tried to send the link to friends, but only members can watch it, or those who sign up for a free promo. We must know what is going on in our own country.

Permalink Reply by Steve Johnson on April 24, 2012 at 8:04am We should kill terrorists for as long as they exist on this earth.
If that is called war, then so be it.
However, who are the terrorists when a group is fighting against an oppressive government?

Killing terrorists and "Those that harbor them".....is what we are supposed to be doing Afganistan...but now they are our "coalition partners"??? Who has "whipped" Whom?

Permalink Reply by karin zoanelli on April 28, 2012 at 5:44am the Russians were smartrer when they got out of Afghanistan - we stayed. and lost. Islam is much stronger in the region than our - and I hate to say it - feckless democracy. we cannot change people who do not want to change.
the Shah of Iran did - and made his country a place where the people could live, where women were respected, could educate themselves and determine their lives.
and it did not last..there as in Afghanistan we were truly whipped, and are still.
I see many parallels between the US today, and Soviet Russia in its final days. Between Ronald Reagan bluffing and baiting them with Star Wars and their own inevitable failure as a totalitarian state, they simply outspent themselves.. money and resources they did not have to spend. Gawd... sounds exactly like Oblahblah's White House
