It is May Day, the annual lunatic celebration of Marxism around the world.  Yes, poverty, tyranny and mass murder are things to celebrate.   We will have the Occupy mob out today and the usual collection of folks waving red banners who really need to be in institutions for the moronically insane.

It is May Day.   Where is Obama?

He is out displaying his new campaign slogan, “Forward.”  The slogan forward has a long association with Marxism, long before MSNBC tried to make it part of their branding.  At least, I think MSNBC is trying to do some branding with that.

With them, it is really hard to tell.

Marxists sent white powder to Wells Fargo as part of their May Day celebrations.  Throughout the nation today, the Occutards are going to try and shut down the economy.

They have called a general strike for today.  If you are trying to help the middle class, that is really bright.  The economy teeters on the edge, primarily because of the Marxist we have in the White House and what would a strike actually do?

Does anyone really believe a strike would hurt those “evil rich people?”   No, it hurts business and the employees of businesses.  Most entrepreneurs are not the rich people that the Occutards imagine. Those people are liberal nuts like the Kennedy family.   Talk about a gene pool that needed more chlorine!  They support every nutty policy that comes down the Socialist sewer line but ensure they remain a part of the “1%.”

The amazing thing about America is that anyone could come here and do or become anything.

Of course, if the Occutards and their ilk have their way, America will look a whole lot like the old Soviet Union.  Do they know that the old Soviet Union had a nickname?   It was called “The Prison of Nations.”  Why do you think that was?  Why do you think the Berlin Wall was built or why Cubans will attempt to travel 90 miles in open seas on flimsy inflatable rafts?

It is because the ideas of communism and socialism fail.

All across the world there is a universal hunger for liberty and freedom.  Unfortunately, in the warped minds of the far left, this is not forward.  For real Americans and other real people, we understand, advancing freedom and liberty is the only way to move forward.

Today we will see May Day riots.  The media will minimize the Occupy May Day violence, as they have shilled for this movement since it’s inception.  If the media were really going to be fair about its coverage of the Occupy movement, it would feature the communist flags and some of the radical banners.  If there were any commitment to real journalism, the drive by media would have been reporting on the rapes at the Occupy Camps.

As we see the red banners waving today and the hammer and sickle logos the media will not show us, we need to remember the words of Ronald Reagan.  We do not automatically get freedom just because we are born in America. It is not our birthright.  Freedom must be fought for, cherished and earned.

And freedom is far too easy to lose.

This May Day, let’s remember there are a lot of people in this nation and even in the government who do not view freedom and liberty as a blessing.   They view it as something that must be overcome and destroyed.

Today let’s remember where our Marxist is. He’s in the White House and we must do everything in our power to deny him a second term by voting him out this November.

Today, May-Day will be most interesting  This day, central to Socialism around the world, will see the effects of hundreds of planned events by Occupy Wall Street, SEIU and their other union friends, organized largely through MoveOn.org.

Are the police around the country ready to counter the planned turmoil? Or, will Police Unions in effect join in with the marches? This will be a day to see how powerful the Socialists and their mindless followers really are.

Yes, this truly will be a day to remember....what ever happens!

on May 1st the WORKER was honored - the way I remember it. the dedicated, honest, hard working supporting the family kind of person.

how it has morphed. the occupyers don't have a clue, do not reliaze how manipulated they are, how ridiculous they make themselves look.

they are the same non-workers who demonstrated against the world bank,  and the IMF conference, for nothing else but to interrupt, to destroy, to make fools of themselves.

unfortunaly the unions are all for that - its their "strength" . and those who are sworm to protect us will not do so.

I do fear for this country.

Not to worry Karin......occupy is a fad, started by juveniles, joined and perpetuated by drunks and druggies and will die out like all fads.  Teen's and 20 somethings who allowed themselves filmed or photographed will be grown in 30 years and may find themselves more embarrassed than a young girl who got caught drunk on a 'girls gone wild' video tape!

You are so right (probably) about that future embarrassment...though I will say it is very unlikely that juveniles started this "fad" as you say.  The pattern clearly indicates seasoned leaders, and by those who are much older - I've seen it personally in the past with this sort of thing. i.e. the whole thing is not as mindless as one might think.

Agreed.

just read your note - well - so far the threat of major interruption has not gone anywhere - unless the msm has withheld all the news from us???

that the "members" of this venerable club are true kno-nothings has been proven time and again. but they think they are the salt of the world: no jobs, free money and free everything else. never wonder where all this comes from you are correct - eventually they will sit on the street - begging.

These useful idiots, as the Soviets would have called them, were an epic failure again today.  There's a good article about them in American Thinker.  Search for "useful idiots".

It's worth noting that to read the biography of Karl Marx, is to read the failure of his ideology. Marx was a failure throughout his life.  He never accomplished anything substantial, except to create an ideology that has brought untold suffering around the world, an ideology that blames everyone else who have succeeded by their own individual efforts, sacrificing, hard work and risk taking and  seeks to punish those achievers and confiscate all that they have created, then hand it over to other underachievers.

Good definition!

When I was young, May Day was pretty harmless and fun and a real boon for florists.  It was the day when young men left flowers on the doorstep of their sweethearts.  That's it.

When I was a child, there was such a thing as May Pole Dancing! It was done in grade schools and the like. Too bad OWS isn't  meeting to observe this custom.

I remember.  Things sure did seem sweeter then and a lot more innocent!
