Today could be the start of a very long year for the Party of Treason (a little over 13 months to be technically correct).
First, New York’s 9th District voted to put Bob Turner into office to replace Anthony Weiner in a special election to replace the disgraced Democrat.
How big was this victory?
Consider this: the Democrats had held this district since 1923! In Nevada, Mark Amodei not only won but won a victory that can only be described as a crushing victory.
New York’s 9th should be sending off all of the alarm bells in Washington and should have DNC staffers rushing to the windows to jump from the building. It is the beginning of a tsunami in 2012 that will be the greatest political realignment in modern history.
Looking at the other side, there is chaos and disorder. It is always fun to watch your opponents falling apart. Even Steny Hoyer, the House Democratic Whip, laid some of the blame at the feet of Obama.
In West Virginia, a swing state, Joe Manchin, the Democrat who won the special election last year to replace the last Klansman in the Senate, Robert Byrd, has a great election strategy. He is running against Obama. That’s right, a Senator from the Party of Treason is running against the sitting President from the Party of Treason. Does anyone think this is going to be a winning strategy?
While we celebrate a couple of good wins, we also need to remember, 2012 is a decisive year for the Tea Party as well. There is a real danger here that as things start to look really good for conservatives, we will get complacent.
Now is the time we need to act.
For the past ten days, I was on the road with the Tea Party Express. At each of the stops, I had a message for the Tea Party members. We cannot sit still. We must act now.
I believe there are some in the Obama regime who realize Obama is now probably going to be a one term President and in 2013, we are going to see a Republican President, with a Republican Senate that could have a supermajority and a Republican House. Some of those in the Obama regime and the Party of Treason are going to take one last shot at pushing socialism down our throats and will try to give us a huge tax increase.
We must be ready to stop them.
We need boots on the ground to help us make sure a candidate who believes in Tea Party values is nominated by the Republican Party to be President of the United States. There are a number of GOP contenders who are not Tea Party. Mitt Romney is one of them. When Mitt Romney addressed a Tea Party crowd at a Tea Party Express event in New Hampshire, he did not even mention the words “Tea Party.” There are some candidates who have reached out to the Tea Party, including Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain. We need a Tea Party candidate for President and we need Tea Party candidates for the House and Senate.
We need Tea Party boots on the ground.
How do we do this? If you are a member of a Tea Party Group, you need to find ten people who share our beliefs and invite them to the next meeting of your Tea Party group. If your group has one hundred members and each member will do this, you will grow your group instantly to one thousand. Even if only ten percent of your active members will do this, you can double the size of your Tea Party group.
This is the strategy Rick Perry used in Texas to defeat a better-organized and better-funded opponent in 2010.
We need to grow the Tea Party groups at the local level. This must be done, not because we need bigger groups, but because we need people to fight this election in 2012.
2012 will be the most important election our nation has ever seen. We are at a crossroads. Either the forces of liberty win or the forces of socialism win. Either we put in a President and a congress committed to dismantling socialism or the damage the Obama regime has done will become permanent and America will be transformed to a socialist nation and the greatest nation the world has ever seen will slide towards oblivion.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I chose to stand and fight for a free America.
I chose liberty!
The nomination will come down to either Perry or Romney. NOT tooo enthused about either, but especailly DO NOT care to see Romney get the nomination. Romney, that is all We need, another double talking, mealy mouthed, "pretty boy" Nominee for the 2012 Presidency. NO.
With Romney It would be pretty much "business as usual" in Wash. D.C., only just a little less of more of the same, as with "Obama".
With Perry, I believe We would at least get something in the way of a coherant "Energy Policy", i.e. a resumption of "drilling" and "exploration" in and around the U.S. of A., a sorely needed revamping of S.S.I., a reduction or cutting of the useless and frivoless, "touchy feely" Liberal spending programs which only serve to squander Taxpayer money. Maybe.
Anyway,... NO love lost between Me and the G.O.P. They will NEVER acknowledge the power and/or influence the T-Party has had and continues to have on the resurgence of "Conservativism". To the G.O.P. the T-Party is at best an "embarassment" and at worst I feel that just below The condescending attitude of the Gutless Old Party Establishment Elitists, They probably wish the T-Party never existed.
After the Election of 2012, and provided We elect a "Conservative" and place Him or Her in the "Oval Oriffice" I feel We should then WORK on the disestablishment of the so called "Grand Old Party".
When some GOP member sends you a letter requesting funds, write them back,do not throw away the letter.Today I received a letter from Romney, I do not support Romney, however I wrote back expaining to him why I disagree with him and why I will not send him money.
It appears that the American sleeping dragon has awakened and the odds are in our favor for a Conservative/Moderate/Republican win in 2012. BUT, here is what should worry us; Assuming President Obama runs and loses, WHAT HARM CAN HE DO IN THE FINAL MONTHS OF HIS ADMINISTRATION? In the months/weeks/days prior to the election, when it becomes evident to him that he will lose, WHAT CAN HE DO AND WHAT WILL HE DO BEFORE HE LEAVES OFFICE?
We must start thinking about this now, anticipate these possibilities and consider ways to neutralize them BEFORE they happen.
This idea must be spread to as many groups as possible. Please forward.
Not just Tea Party numbers Judson. We need activists, self motivated outside-of-the-box doers, creative thinkers, and people inspired to network with others in all ways and at all levels to make things happen.
We need to evolve past the did-you-see-what-they-did-this-time-and-complain-about-it phase.
We need a Creative Activism Manhattan Project and invite ideas large and small.
