Is Mitt Romney paying attention? If not he had better. What should he be paying attention to? That would be us conservatives. With Romney now poised to be the nominee, he is also getting ready to pull the “etch-a-sketch” move and rewrite himself as a moderate so he can appeal to the center.
Mitt has bigger problems.

President Barack Obama’s re-election effort enjoyed a 10-to-1 financial edge over Republican rival Mitt Romney last month, outraising the former Massachusetts governor by millions as Obama stuffed more than $104 million into his campaign war chest.
A nasty primary battle between Romney and his GOP rivals took a financial toll on his presidential campaign, which raised $12.6 million in March and left Romney with about $10 million in the bank by month’s end. All told, Obama and the Democratic Party raised a combined $53 million in donations during that period, while Romney with his party pulled in about half of that.
Still, an anticipated fire hose of cash from major Republican “super” political action committees and the Republican Party probably will bring some financial parity to the general election, for which Romney only recently started collecting donations. Super PACs such as American Crossroads and its nonprofit arm, Crossroads GPS, raised $100 million this election cycle, and the groups plan to flood the airwaves in coming months with ads critical of Obama.
Also helping Romney is the Restore Our Future super PAC, which reported raising $8.6 million last month, largely from a handful of wealthy donors and some continued supporters. The group, for its part, spent more than $11 million on TV spots during the month, coming off a successful track record of battering Romney’s GOP primary opponents with attack ads.
Romney destroyed his opponents in the primaries with an overwhelming barrage of negative advertising. In some parts of Illinois, he was able to outspend Rick Santorum 21-1.
Houston, he has a problem.
If he needs that kind of funding advantage to win, he is a lost cause. If he goes RINO, as he wants to do, he will wipe out the conservative base’s interest in helping him.
Romney has one chance. He needs to really embrace conservatism. He does have the problem that he has taken so many positions on so many issues most people do not believe him. Most conservatives do not trust him.
This is going to be a tough fight and it is one he will not be able to win without the conservative base. So far, he has given us no reason to get excited for him other than he is not Obama.
He needs more than that. He must enthuse the conservative base so we will be out there. He needs us manning phone banks, campaign headquarters and doing the boots on the ground heavy lifting that is absolutely necessary for a campaign.
Romney will close the spending gap some in the next few months. But he will not have the advantage he had in the primaries. He had better figure out a way to create new advantages or he can start writing his concession speech now.

You can feel better about yourself by saying, "It wasn't my fault our Country is gone." but my kids and grandkids will still be living under communism because of people who wrote in an unelectable candidate which got Barry elected again...

The Obama machine will eat him alive its just the beginning we chose wrong, and now we will pay big time. At the end and only at the end, I will wear a gas mask and probably vote, but I am not happy at all. I am leaving the RNC and will not give them a dime of my money. I am going independent and will never vote for a moderate again. This is just history repeating itself, very sad

Americans can no longer afford to be complacent if we want our country back (that is unless you are one of those who likes getting "Obama money").
