The Washington Post is not exactly a bastion of patriotism, but they have now done something that not only stuns any sane person, but also should absolutely outrage every American.
The Post has a habit of hating America and wanting to promote almost any group that hates America too. This one is really over the top.
The Post gave some space in their outlook section to allow a jihadist, who has been released from GITMO to complain that America is making war against those who want to destroy America.
Moazzem Begg, the jihadist the Post thinks America should listen to, has a website and he put on the front page of his website a photoshopped image of a murdered Barack Obama. The image is a part of a “satire.” The image was associated with a blog that talked about Obama as a “Christian Osama Bin Laden.”
The blog talked about how “the American war criminal Barack Obama has been killed by Pakistani security forces in the UK.”
Begg has repeatedly supported Anwar al Awlaki, who has called for Islamists to attack American wherever they can.
The Post decided to publish four opinion pieces on the aftermath of 9/11 and the death of Bin Laden. One was a 9/11 family member, one was a marine reservist who fought jihadists, one was a Muslim American lawyer who was, of course, discriminated against after 9/11 and Begg was the final op ed piece.
The Post put the obligatory, we don’t agree with all of his positions, but believe his opinion should be heard.
How about this for the Post? Your opinion is obligatory bovine scatology.
Begg, in his piece, lauded Bin Laden as the man who made America tremble. He said nothing about those Bin Laden murdered, while he praised al-Qaeda and the jihadists.
Someone needs to tell those dimwits at the Washington Post editorial board that being open minded does not mean you give free space to the enemy. You do not give aid and comfort to the enemy. That is exactly what you did.
Begg’s site is more disturbing. There is a line that is not crossed. You do not threaten to kill the President and the First Amendment does not protect placing that kind of image. It is certain the expression of an idea that the President should be killed.
I have absolutely no use for Barack Obama, but until we can remove him from office by election or some other legal process, he is the President. Placing a photoshopped image of the President being murdered is an act of war. It is a threat against the Presidency and America. Begg is not an American. We need to throw his slimy butt back into GITMO and this time not let him out.

Permalink Reply by Christie on May 12, 2011 at 10:38am BO, his minions and puppeteers perpetrated a coup on America--that doesn't make him a legal POTUS. He is not nor ever will be my president, he is a treasonous usurper, not to mention a fraud and felon on many counts.
As for the picture of Barry and the WaPo, I haven't seen it, (like the pictures of OBL), it merely reflects the nature of the enemy--within and outside this failing nation...

Permalink Reply by AL Love on May 13, 2011 at 1:17pm I wholeheartedly agree. An attack on the President is an attack on all of us. We may not agree with his policies and plans, but he is our President and these types of images are UNACCEPTABLE!
