If you aren’t going to use the nomination, could we borrow it?

Abraham Lincoln famously asked George McClellan, his timid General during the Civil War, “If you are not using the Army, I should like to borrow it for a short while.”

We know how that story ended.  McClellan was fired, replaced by Ulysses Grant and the civil war was won.

After what happened this week, is it time for Conservatives to pen a similar letter to the Republican Party?

For weeks, if you follow my blogs on Tea Party Nation, you have read the following line.  Mitt Romney is showing up for debate club while Barack Obama is showing up for fight club.

As we roll into the convention, a little over a month away in Tampa, Romney continues to stumble.   Romney’s strategy for winning the Republican Primary was simple.  Outspend your opponent 5 to 1 or greater and simply bomb him out of existence with negative ads.

He can’t do that now.

While his fundraising is far better than Obama’s, the general election has not yet started so he can’t spend much of that money.  Plus Obama has the drive by media, which is giving him in kind contributions with favorable news stories and coverage.

So what happened this week?

First, Romney finally got mad.  He has not gotten mad about Obama’s policies.  He has not gotten mad about what Obama did to this nation.  He got mad because the Obama campaign suggested that Mitt Romney committed a felony by claiming he left Bain Capital in 1999 but supposedly working there until 2002.

Romney is angry about a personal insult, not about what is happening to the nation.  Oh, that makes me feel so much better.

Romney’s flat response to almost every Obama attack has left even his most ardent supporters asking when he is even going to show up for debate club, much less fight club.

Scott Walker at the Republican Governor’s Meetings in Williamsburg Virginia this week suggested Romney do something really novel, like fight back.  Walker said, “He should be out on that bus tour. He was comfortable. He was at ease. The small business people ate him up.”

Obama just gave Romney a gift when it comes to small business people.  Obama said a Friday in Roanoke, Virginia that small business people did not build their own businesses.  The implication was if it were not for the government, no small businessperson would make it.

Where is Romney on this?  He should be wearing Obama out on it.  Is he back out on the jet ski again?

Conservatives have said for some time that Romney is the one guy who could really lose to Obama.

Instead of fighting, Romney has basically taken the month of July off.

Obama has not.  Romney has been on a jet ski.  Obama has been on a bus.  Romney only got made when Obama’s campaign accused him of committing a felony.

When the hell is he going to get mad about what Obama is doing to America?

Real Americans are tired of the Obama war on wealth, American energy, American sovereignty and the American economy.

Today Romney simply acts like he is going to walk into the White House.  Here is a clue.  Obama is not going to quietly surrender.  This is fight club, not debate club.  This is a gunfight so don’t bring a knife.  When he hits you, you have to hit him harder.

Romney has to be a fighter, not simply some guy with a big war chest.

Romney seems to have no clue on how he should run his campaign or fight Obama.  We conservatives understand.  We know what must be done.

Mitt Romney, if you are not using the nomination, please let us conservatives borrow it for four years.  We know how to fight and we are already in the trenches.

RINO strategy is simple, " Lose the election without appearing to intent upon losing it".

No surprise here, we already knew he was a lover, not a fighter.

What did Yogi Berra say?  "This is like deja vu all over again."

DO YOU REMEMBER?  Barry Goldwater - George H. W. Bush - Bob Dole - John McCain

The Republican Party has a long history of losers, why not have another?

THIS ELECTION IS SAVEABLE,    NOMINATE SOMEONE ELSE!

I do not believe that Romney expects to win. He was chosen by the powers that be to act as the stand in for the GOP. The Republican  high command, the DNC and the media act as a united force. Obama is the designated winner. Romney, the media and a lot of money made certain that no viable alternative to the Marxist had a chance of reaching the convention. His job is essentially finished except for the circus we call the election. Other than being a Progressive shill his only other purpose is to be an under study in case Obama goes down in flames from a cause they cannot control.

Soros doesn't care which one wins, they will both follow orders and as he put it, there is not a lot of difference between them.

This is what I asked elsewhere; I just feel that the GOP has been hijacked by moneymen and taken away from the voter. It is now time for us to take it back. Mitt Romney is a good bridge between old and new, because the voter has awakened, and will tell him, in no uncertain terms, how he's doing. WE, the people will be watching, and it is our job to hold him accountable. With a GOP Congress, we will turn this ship around.
This is but the first step in a thousand-mile journey.

David, Both parties were hijacked by the money men a long time ago.  The difference today is that the "grass roots" of the Democrat party still consider that them being walked on, lied to, used and abused is normal whereas the grass roots conservatives who support the Republican party are fed up with being walked on, lied to and taken for granted by the pathocratic muckety-mucks who insist on running and controlling the party as they see fit.

Screw'm.  I don't think either party has the people who have the personal gumption and the political courage that is needed to actually get face to face with the problems that are currently plaguing the nation.  I think there has to be a gradual shrinkage of governments at all levels including either merging or shutting down more than half of the current local county and municipal governments.  Regardless, given that I am undoubtedly looking back on far more years than what I have to look forward to and given the miserable mess that took most of a century to create, I have no expectation of being able to live to see if the best nation that ever existed will be able to survive.

Democracy--Worldwide--has hopelessly morphed into just another form of statist communism.

So, what do conservatives do? Do we have to rise up and demand a recount? I blogged many months ago when Romney was eviscerating Santorum and Gingrich; I said he will annihilate the conservatives, yet when it comes to Obama he won't show up. Same thing happened when he was running against Ted Kennedy for the Senate; in the campaign, he basically agreed with Kennedy- and he lost-big time. Same thing is happening now. Romney needs to get a grass-roots campaign going, yet all he does is send mail asking for donations; under the guise of the RNC. This is ridiculous. We are all hurting; I haven't had a full-time job for three years, my unemployment ran out and the job market is dry as a bone because of Obamanomics. Mr. Nice guy doesn't work; Gov. Romney-take off the gloves or get out of the ring and as Laura Ingraham said, "Get off the boat!"

Wow, that video was really telling. Thanks for sharing.

My Friends,

At the June GOP meeting in my county, one of the group’s leaders was talking about what we must do for the 2012 presidential election.  He made a statement about how hard we all had to work for “Obamney”.  (His term, not mine.)

While I take no credit for creating or using the term, this Freudian slip does invoke our need to evaluate this video: (Thank-You Noralee Lotecki.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWDJEc92d38&feature=player_embed...

I recently advised you about the many similarities between Marco Rubio (who is Ed Rollins’ choice for VP to “Obamney”) and today’s resident in 1600 Penn Ave.

In the recent past I even gave you an Optimum Solution for 2012 presidential politics:

  • Republicans – Nominate Romney with Obama for VP
  • Democrats – Nominate Obama with Romney for VP

Maximize the symbiosis.  Put the campaign $$ toward national debt.  Maybe that is what the “Obamney” reference by my friend at the GOP meeting is doing.

The Mitt & Barry Show…OR…The Barry & Mitt Show…???  Either way doesn’t that have a nice kumbaya-moment ring to it???  We can all just reach across the aisle and “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”.

Please keep sleeping soundly.

You have a “great difference” of choice to make in November with this juggernaut on its path for the Tampa Convention.  It is no wonder most polls show “obamney” tied with “obamney”.

If these people were piloting the Titanic, they would be driving around the North Atlantic looking for an iceberg to hit, “…because WE are unsinkable.”

As Frank Drebben assured us, “Nothing to see here. Please disperse.”  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSjK2Oqrgic

Thanx BuKu,

Noralee Lotecki,

What an eye opener.....Mitt Romney wasn't my choice but when all the other conservatives running had lost, well, it was like ,guess we'll go with last man standing.....Not much to choose from and then you heard don't split the party by voting for someone else because it would automatically be a vote for Obama......SORRY! ! ! !  Our principles, moral values, our faith and trust in God have all been rationalized to the point that it seems we accept whatever sounds good without really delving deeply into the issues at hand.....We are in a very sorry state of affairs most especially if we elect someone who says what he thinks the masses want to hear and once inside the oval office proceeds to do the complete opposite of what he proposed he would do for our country.....

Noralee, you are right we need to scream from the top of our lungs 'BROKERED or OPEN CONVENTION.....

Thank you so much....Hopefully you will have awakened a few more sheep asleep in the HAY.....Our country and her future generations are at stake.......FREEDOM is not FREE, it comes with a very heavy price.......

The Walmart Grocery Distribution Center in Nebraska is hiring.  They have way too much overtime.  You may want to check out the one in your area.  Orderfillers make $16/hr.  It's hard work, but better than unemployment.

How about if the Tea Party were to have conventions in major cities linked up electronically with big screen TV's?  We could do this one week before the Republican Convention and get it on TV for everyone to see.  Each city could have a short segment highlighting conservative values, like cutting up credit cards, refusing to go in debt. Then the participants could vote on elements of a Tea Party Platform to influence Republicans at their convention.

I still have not figured out how Romney beat the true conservatives, Newt, Bachman, Cain. It had to be a set up because I dont believe we are that stupid. We let the good old boys give us McCain now we have to deal with the bubler Romney. I will vote for him only because we have to defeat Obumer or end up in another Revolutionary war which no one wants. We The People are not going to allow the muslim fraud in the whitehouse to have another 4 years commiting treason against the people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
