Conservatives have warned from the beginning, trying terrorists in civilian courts was a huge mistake.  Now we have the proof.

 

Ahmed Ghailani was the first terrorist taken from the military system to a civilian court for trial.    The result, less than spectacular.  With a massive indictment that spanned more than 280 counts, the Department of Justice ended up with a conviction on one single count.

 

The prosecutions case was not helped by the fact that liberal, Clinton appointed, Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan, on the day trial was supposed to begin, refused to allow the prosecution to use a key witness.   Kaplan was appalled that the witness was discovered as a result of coercive interrogation.   I am appalled that Lewis Kaplan is a Federal Judge.  I am also appalled at the Department of Justice.  They could have appealed Judge Kaplan’s ruling but did not.

 

Ahmed Ghailani was detained for his role in the bombing in the US Embassies in Africa.   Congressman Peter King of New York was incensed over this, as the defendant was acquitted of 224 counts of murder, thanks to a nitwit liberal Federal Judge and an idiot President.

 

Ghailani is a Tanzanian, not an American.  He is not entitled to the protections of the American constitution.  He should have been tried in a military court for what he did.

 

Make no mistake about this.  Ghailani is an Al Qaeda terrorist and has admitted as such.  He was a bodyguard for Osama Bin Laden and took part in a mass murder of American citizens.

 

There are lessons to be learned from this debacle.  First, unless they are an American citizen, no civilian trials for terrorists.  Do not put them in front of some nitwit liberal federal judge.   Second, we need prosecutors who have not spent their spare time, prior to being employed for the government working for firms that were representing terrorists, like Eric Holder’s old firm did.  Finally, the most important lesson to be learned here is, national security is far too important to let liberals ever control again.

Debrajoe: I have said from day one that Obama will make sure that all blacks and muslims will basically get off any charges that call for death penalty. Muslim in fort hood MURDERS is planning a insanity defense. If that doesnot work Obama will PARDON him. This trial will not start until just before next election. We are under attack from within.

Wish I could say that you were correct, Robin, but we have not done near enough in the Legislative Branch. We control the house only. We need overwhelming (veto-proof) majorities in both the House AND the Senate to enforce a Constitutional Agenda. Even more - we need a truly Constitutional Conservative President to do anything about the Judicial Branch. Let's not lose sight of the prize. We must all be working every day toward 2012 before we can get very confident that we have turned the corner against Socialist Totalitarianism in the U.S.

What is actually needed, is a Tea Party veto-proof majority in both the House and Senate, as well as, a Tea Party Executive branch victory in 2012, so that legislation can be signed into law.

Another thing that is badly needed is a Constitutional Amendment to allow for general election retention votes for Supreme Court justices every 4 years. That way, even if we do get a stinker or two on the top bench, we the people can select to not retain them in that position if necessary.

Some states already have this form of checks and balances for the judiciary in their constitutions. We need to go national with such an improvement. That way we don't get a 30 plus year stinker on the Supreme Court. It's just a suggestion. Anyone got a better idea? I'd love to read it.

He wont spend that long in prison. When Obama term ends he will pardon this killer. He will make sure that the ft hood killer will also not face tough sentence. The liberals are in the driver seat and until we remove them we are in deep trouble.America is under attack from within.I hope that the jerks who voted for him are proud of themself. They are not stupid. And they do not care about our forefathers... they spit on their graves.... they laugh and cheer for their tears. as you can see every day, they roam about to steal, kill, and destroy. And they are devouring our nation. There is no love involved, they spit on love. Just listen to them.. it is quite evident.

Right with you Jackie. that is why I can't take it any more. I just can't listen to them any more either. I have tried to get their point of view to be fair, but all I hear is hate and Anger. And it is not just to the Forfathers (you are right they do just spit on their gaves and laugh at their tears.) but they hate the Blacks (because they have the ability to make something of themselves.) and they hate the Hispaincs for the same reason. They sit there and teach that the American Indians were nothing but weak intolerant people. Thus is not the truth, they hated us in the beginning and then we all worke out our differences. They just hate our Flag!! I don't know how much more I can take to be honest. ;)

Does that indicate that humanity is hopeless? No, I don't believe so. I do believe it indicates that those people who understand and value personal responsibility and personal integrity have an eternal struggle that they must wage and must win if they are to be able to live as free people in nations that have free societies.

Bonds of enslavement need not be visible physical shackles. The freedom-fearing, regressive statists who we have put in charge of our federal government and far too many of our state and local governments as well as far too many of those who are now in control of our financial institutions seek to survive and thrive at the expense of and on the produce of the efforts of the rest of us.

Then they attempt to shame us into silence and hope that we will fall into line like good little boys and girls and follow their "leadership" and do their bidding.

WOW! that was awesome!! That's like a sign from God. :) It was like you were ment to read that for me lol. Thank you. I see what is being said there. I am glad to know that we are no longer silent. I pray daily that we finish making our moves to free us from Romes demise. I am scared because these low-lifes are in our school. I graduated in 1999, my husband and I were watching the movie the blind side, at one point the Conservative Wife and husband (had to make that point.) Were helping this wonderful loveing black kid who's life was horribal, they just wanted to help him, adopted him and got him a REALLY good education, well inorder to get a scholarship to 'Olmiss (He is now a professional football player.) he had to get his grades up and the only way was to write an essay (Fro the liberal jerk teacher.) they had him do the report on a poem that I had NEVER heard of called "Charge of the light brigade." I paused the movie and asked my husband who is 20 years older then me about it. he was shocked that I had NEVER heard of it and he asked me what I learned in school. I told hi all I was taught was how we are bad because we are white and we had to read things about bad white people, and the only non whites are bad book we read was ferighen high 469. About book banning. My point is that THIS is what is teaching us. Schools now are nothing more then a liberal training camp!! This is scary and unsettling. this is why I can't take it any more. We need more Chris Chrisites in our world. He is doing it right. Almost like Reagan listened to my prayers and jumped into another human lol (yes I asked for that lol.) But can we get him to run for president? The man or woman we elect is he/she going to be like Reagan or Chrisite? Or are we going to get a
Bush? I liked Bush but he was leaning to much to the left there at the end. Will this end soon? I have 4 Nephews and anyday now I will have 2 niecses. (My sister is due with her first daughter she has 3 boys all under the of 5 lol.) But I want them to live Free. My sister's kids Father was in the navy and I want them to feel that it is good to honor him. I want MY AMERICA BACK!!
