Permalink Reply by Woneta Godwin on February 9, 2012 at 11:07pm Exactly, We The People should hire no one that is a lawyer. If someone in Washington has ever been a lawyer vote them out. The founders wanted average Americans elected for a reason. Lawyers will always find a way around the system. Average Americans are looking to the country that we once loved. Lawyers do not belong in Washington!!!

Permalink Reply by Jack Kemp on February 9, 2012 at 7:06pm In the Soviet Union, most of the doctors - and virtually all of the general practitioners - were women supported by a husband. That is the result of paying doctors close to nothing. In the US, the cost of medical school, equipment, rent, etc. will make it impossible for a doctor to support a family with Obamacare reembursement rates.
Permalink Reply by Cheryl Paul on February 10, 2012 at 6:48am Jack - it would seem then, that somehow costs have to come down for medical school, equipment, rent, etc., because a visit to a primary doctor shouldn't cost $186 for a 10 or 15 minute consultation. When it comes to research, if the rest of the world benefits, yet pays far less for the products than we do, perhaps those pharmaceutical companies should be funded globally also. I'm not in favor of socialized medicine - but, there IS an obvious imbalance of some kind that is creating impossible situations because too many really can't afford basic care these days.
Permalink Reply by JC Patriot on February 10, 2012 at 5:36pm Remember the cause of those prices, Cheryl. You are simply paying for the healthcare of others. They have a free ride, courtesy of the politicians and the liberals, but at your expense. This is why government can't do anything efficiently -- they are spending other peoples' money.
