The Supreme Court has been hearing arguments against ObamaCare. In the following YouTube video I go off script against BAD ObamaCare. If the Supreme Court does not declare it unconstitutional we must repeal it. If we can't repeal it, we must overturn Wickard v. Roscoe Filburn, which sent us down the wrong path in the first place. The short URL is below and hopefully the video is embedded as well. - Bradley Hennenfent, M.D., physician & economist, retired.

THANK YOU -

And yet they spin away:

http://news.investors.com/article/606263/201203301828/health-care-o...

There wil be a healthcare REVOLUTION this leftie tool tell us as he writes this as a plus:

• The federal government is gathering better data on health outcomes, which will encourage national standards for care. Hospitals already report 65 metrics for care to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. By 2014, they will be reporting 85 items that will measure everything from patient satisfaction to infection and mortality rates.

Is there anything about the Obama administration that doesn't reek of discriminatory application and enforcement of laws and the arbitrary and capricious abuse of power?  Obama's best defense against the charge that he's doing outrageous things is that to correctly accuse him of committing these actions makes one look like a kook. Viewed alone, they are quite disconcerting. Taken together, especially with the levels of audacity and arrogance that would impress any tyrant, they are immensely troubling.

3/18/12 -- A just released Congressional Budget Office report says President Obama’s “national healthcare law will cost $1.76 trillion over a decade,” far surpassing the original $940 billion forecast when first signed into law.  According to Philip Klein of the Washington Examiner, Democrats “cooked the books” on ObamaCare, suppressing the real numbers, and giving the leftist illusion that his statist plan was much cheaper...so as to “meet Obama’s pledge that the legislation would cost ‘around $900 billion over ten years.’” Of course none of this is really even a mild a surprise.  Many pundits roundly criticized the original CBO score -- but for the true cost to already be approaching $2 trillion is truly frightening.  But it gets even worse:  Klein says Americans won’t get the ACTUAL ten-year cost until next year!

Let's all pray that the Supreme Court relegates this egegeous overreach to the dustbin of history, and maybe even moves affirmatively to reign in abuses of the Commerce Clause.

thank you! Doc H. I went off FB for Lent:) It was the only way to get off the stuff...and when I return it will be with a a business page. Good to see you. I LOVE your work and your sincerity and passion. Indeed, it is about control, it is not about health care. Health care just gave the commie/fascist/marxists/progressives a way to impact a huge part of society. My suggestion to all is:

Pray. Then make a fat file folder for all of the excellent info that is cropping up about Obamacare.

THEN remember that Romenycare was the prototype and fight the GOPs pushing him down our throats.

Rubio...sad.

Jan Brewer...sad

What is the hurry to endorse...what are they being promised?

Political whores

A brokered convention gave us Ronald Reagan in JULY...

Is this why folks are probably coming out of the woodwork to endorse; a broker convention means SOR someone other than Romney,

I will not ABO the future of my country.

We the people have the rights, not the govt and certainly NOT political parties.

Bradley makes a good point.....  I'll try to make another.....

Imagine going to the DMV to renew your driver's license and having a DMV employee empowered to tell you when you can drive, to where you can drive, and what you can drive!!!

If you can imagine that nightmare scenario, just imagine what it would be like to have a government employee empowered and dictating your healthcare!!!

Thank you Dr. Hennefent--will be sending this to our 2nd yr med school son--while we want to continue to keep alive his "enthusiasm" for medicine/helping people, we continue to look for info to make him aware of what's ahead if Obamacare is aloud to stand.  You talked about the patient needing to be able to maintain "dignity"; we agree and also feel and encourage our son to make certain that he, as the doctor, also treats his patients with "dignity", which might not be possible (IMO) if Obamacare mandates how doctors attend to their patients.

Now more than ever we need Patriots in the trenches...be they soldiers, doctors, teachers, plumbers, firemen, garbage-men...any and all professions, having folks who care for others doing the work. God bless him and you as you support him in his pursuit.

Dr. Hennenfent,

Bravo!

As a retired physician I agree completely. Not to sound narcissistic, the practice of medicine is the most gratifying profession in the world. There is no greater joy than to be able to help someone who is ill. To see a febrile child and help his ear infection. To see an 80 year old grandmother with Alzheimer's and feel her, and the caregivers, frustration. To see the pride in a family who just had a beautiful child born into their family. To feel a part of you leave when informed one of our patients, for whatever reason, passed away.

What the bureaucrats don't understand is that we say we "practice" medicine for a reason. No two patients present exactly the same way. Every illness presents in a similar way, but never exactly the same. That bad headache may be a migraine, but it can also be an aneurysm. That abdominal pain may just be the stomach flu, but it can also be appendicitis. Bureaucrats love to label and codify everything and, because of their self-proclaimed intellect, expect nature to follow their instructions.

As a physician we respect every patient’s dignity humbly. Our patients learn to trust our advice based on that. When the patient-physician relationship is constantly intruded upon is when mistakes are made, and that trust and mutual respect erodes. Dignity disappears and is replaced with doubt.

The doctor-patient relationship is based on a foundation of ethics. When we see the waste, fraud, abuse and corruption in Washington the last institution we want telling us what to do is our government.

Thank you USARogue.

Well written.Thank you for serving and for being a patriot who understands and cares for his fellow man.

A number of years ago. I was told I needed a hysterectomy, by a woman doctor who had been told, we wanted to have more children. When she confirmed the problem, this was a second opinion, and I asked where do we go from here, her response, was, "schedule a hysterectomy." I hung up on her and went on a search. By God's grace I found a book titled You Don't Need A Hysterectomy which explained many reasons and options. Again by God's grace I found a doctor who honored our wishes, and addressed the fibroids without a hysterectomy. We sat in his office and went over many of the points in the book, one by one. The day of the surgery, he made it possible for my husband to stay with me till the last possible moment before the anesthesia was administered.

Reading that 50%  of doctors plan to leave if ObamaRomenycare stays, and seeing the BHO administration go after 20% of the healthcare system in one fell swoop by attacking the RCC and their religious beliefs s should give every thinking pause. The administration has already addressed the question raised by Justice Scalia: If they can force people to buy insurance, what else will they force us to do, buy broccoli? They will tell us to do whatever they want. This is not about healthcare, it is about controlling a system that easily gives them access to everyone's data from the time they are born, which in turn gives them the control they are so desperately seeking.

Your last sentence is already being addressed by the left. Read one of the lamestream toady's assessment after 3 days of Supreme Court hearings:

http://news.investors.com/article/606263/201203301828/health-care-overhaul-here-despite-court-decision.htm?p=2

Here is a paragraph from that article:

• The federal government is gathering better data on health outcomes, which will encourage national standards for care. Hospitals already report 65 metrics for care to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. By 2014, they will be reporting 85 items that will measure everything from patient satisfaction to infection and mortality rates.

One way or another they aim to control us.

This is why we fight the left and the GOP in their attempt to keep we the people in check.

USA--may I copy your post and send it to our son who is in his 2nd year of med school?  As we mentioned earlier, we want to continue to encourage his desire to help others; he currently still has "stars in his eyes" and sees himself as being on a mission to help all/being unstoppable--we are so proud of him and don't want to cloud his enthusiasm, yet, we feel he needs to understand the reality of what's ahead for him if Obamacare is permitted to remain the law.  Thank you for your insightful post.

Nancy, as if he doesn't have enough to read, he may be interested in this link:

It is long, but it is an eye-opener for those who still have stars clouding their vision about government in healthcare.
