In an article published today in World Net Daily, Tea Party Nation founder, Judson Phillips, blows the lid off of how our Department of Justice intentionally mangled their case defending the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" law.

From the column:

Obama promised during the campaign that he would repeal DADT. There was only one major problem: The majority of Americans did not want it repealed, and apparently enough members of Congress did not want it repealed, either.

As we are well aware, the will of the people and the will of Congress are only minor technicalities to the Obama regime.

I do not condone religious-based bigotry. I support individual rights.
This, to me, is a tough topic. I support individual rights also, but at what cost. I have nothing against homosexuals. If Ellen wants to spend her evenings with Portia - who cares! But if they take away the DADT, they minds well make the Military Co-Ed throughout. As a woman and a bit old fashioned, I would be nervous dressing, showering, etc. in a room full of straight women, but showering with someone who claims to be a Lesbian, would be like showering with men. I really don't see the difference. Either way you are being forced to undress in front of someone who may be attracted to you in a sexual way. I say stick to the policy. Kinda tired of making myself extremely uncomfortable just so someone else feels better about vocalizing their sexual preferences. Just like I'd prefer a straight person to keep their fetishes to themselves, I'd prefer homosexuals to do the same. What ever happened to Social Etiquette?
The American military rejects applicants who are felons, physically or mentally disabled, those with uncorrectable vision problems, hearing problems and other conditions which would interfere with their duties in the military, especially in combat. These people usually have a great desire to serve their country. They just don't fit in the military.

The same could be said for organized sporting activities at all levels, and the job market - whether it be blue, gray, or white collar. There are people who just don't fit in, for one reason or another.

A very important requirement in military service is the ability to bond with others with whom you serve. A fighting unit depends on "protecting the back" of the soldier, sailor, airman or marine next to you - as he or she must do for you. It is very difficult to create this bond between heterosexuals and homosexuals even in civiilian life - and virtually impossible in the military.

I'm not just assuming this; I've been there, and done that. The real problem is that most of those who are demanding the repeal of this compromise agreed to in the first place are those who wouldn't ever consider joining any military service, because they have the same mentality as people like Bill Clinton, who successfully dodged the draft and protested the Vietnam War on the streets of Moscow, yet was allowed to become President of the United States.

The American military recruits the people they want. To try to diminish the integrity or the strength of our fighting forces with ridiculous demands much like, but much more critical than, the same-sex marriage debate, cannot be allowed to occur.
Let's assume for the moment, that you Do get it, Janis!
The subject here is is to be the change of the "DA,DT" policy, only. Nothing else. The "Concerned" guy is quite correct, and attacks are not permitted here. Burkahs, Arabs, whatever, belong elsewhere This might be considered a warning!
"DON'T ASK DON'T TELL" is a policy that should remain in effect!

And, not for reasons of homophobia, or any of the other inflammatory arguments put forth.
It's simply a matter that open announcement of sexuality of any kind has no place in the military!
It has no bearing on the job requirements, or the tasks at hand. Or should have no bearing! To interject overt sexuality into the workplace can serve only to create special groups, thereby potentially adding layers of complexity to the tasks at hand.

Do your job efficiently and reliably. Beyond that, I really don't want to know!
