There are few sounds sweeter than the sounds of the establishment moaning in distress. Over the last few days, we have seen quit a bit of it and we are about to see more.
Why is the establishment so upset?
One of their own is about to go down in flames. The Crown Prince of the RINOs, Richard Lugar has been slowly flaming out over the last few weeks. Where he had a lead at one point in the Republican Indiana Senate primary, that lead has faded first to a tie and now one poll has conservative challenger Richard Mourdock up by ten points!
The establishment has been coming out and pulling out all the stops to try and save the RINO Lugar.
Peggy Noonan who managed to turn a stint as a junior speechwriter for Ronald Reagan into a writing career, mostly shilling for establishment Republicans came out with a column endorsing Lugar. She sniffed, “the Senate needs grown ups.” Actually Peggy, the Republican Party needs conservatives who will stand up to Barack Obama and the Party of Treason, not surrender to it.
Just in case anyone forgets, this great “Republican” endorsed Barack Obama over John McCain last time. Granted it was hard to get excited about McCain but Obama? The truth is Noonan is neither a conservative nor a Republican. She is just one of those clueless New York City liberals who couldn’t find her head if she was standing in front of a mirror, searching with both hands.
Mitch Daniels, the RINO governor of Indiana has come out for Lugar. Of course, that is not surprising for a man who spent much of the Republican response to the State of the Union speech whining about the “safety net” and not offering any real conservative alternatives. Lugar’s other endorsers include John McCain and Arlen Specter.
Anyone who would be endorsed by Arlen Specter should be immediately removed from office and dishonorably discharged from the Republican Party.
Making fun of RINOs is, well fun. They make it so easy. But politics is serious business. Richard Mourdock is the man we need in the Senate. In case anyone forgets, as Treasurer of the State of Indiana, he stood against the Obama Regime as they crammed down the auto bailout that stole from Chrysler’s creditors. His list of endorsements includes Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum, Michele Makin, Erik Erickson and Judson Phillips.
The Indiana Primary is this Tuesday. It isn’t over until it is over and the fat lady hasn’t sung yet. As we go into the last 48 hours before voting, help Richard Mourdock any way you can.
If you are in Indiana, call his campaign headquarters and see what you can do to volunteer. Contributions, even at this late date help.
Of course, when Richard Mourdock wins on Tuesday, his battle will not be over. He will have to fight a liberal Congressman named Joe Donally.
We must keep this seat in Republican hands. Richard Mourdock will do that.
2010 may have been known as the year of the Tea Party Congress, in 2012 we are going to have the year of the Tea Party Senate. Richard Mourdock’s win on Tuesday will be the first win of our Tea Party season.

Permalink Reply by Chas Jones on Democrats are trying to defend 23 senate seats, the GOP only 10. It is IMPERATIVE that more conservative candidates win as many of these seats as is possible.
Folks, sending conservatives into the Senate is our surest defense against unconstitutional treaties and judges.

And it's the "grown-ups" now sitting on their brains in the US Congress who allow this fraud and his minions to reign over the shredding of our Constitution, the bankruptcy of our nation, the neutering of our military, the erosion of our borders, etc......
These so-called "grown-ups" need to be removed from office, post haste!!!

Permalink Reply by JC Patriot on That's an invalid comparison at this time. Once Mourdock wins and gets more name recognition and many of the former Lugar supporters, then and only then can such a poll be taken.
Besides, what good does it do to win seats with RINO's like Lugar when they are not going to vote Constitutionally conservative? The suggestion of Lugar being more likely to win against Donnelly is a strange possibility to mention here.
Permalink Reply by JC Patriot on That may be a valid argument in order to get the majority and therefore control the agenda of the senate, but those three "more electable" GOP'ers lost for a reason. The flip side of the argument is that if they cannot even win their own party's primary, how can it be assumed they would have done better in the general election? It's a question that can never be answered because it's in the hypothetical world, and we have to stick with reality. Had we won those seats with the other guys, you cannot be assured how they would have voted on many issues. Since they lost to more Constitutionally-minded tea party types, they must have been doing something wrong.
We must move beyond settling for victories on paper in many of these races, if the winner is not going to be much different than the opposition. Romney over Obummer is one of the exceptions to this, because the alternative to Romney is the worst possible alternative one could ever dream up. Perhaps "nightmare" is a much more appropriate word to use after watching that "intelligent" imbecile for the last three years.
Each of the major issues we face today needs to be taken into consideration in such primary battles, and if one of the alleged "conservatives" talks about fixing something by some governmental solution (other than just getting out of the way), then we need to give them the boot and a copy of the Constitution (spelled out phonetically so maybe they can learn something about history and the founders).
