Senator John Ensign’s scandal ridden term as United States Senator from Nevada ends on May 3.  The end cannot come soon enough.  Nevada’s governor will now name a replacement to serve until the next election in 2012.

Nevada and America need him to pick a good, solid conservative to lead in the United States Senate.  Who should Governor Sandoval pick?

Danny Tarkanian.

Danny Tarkanian ran for the Senate last year.  He lost in the primary to Sharron Angle.  Despite whatever hard feelings there were, Tarkanian went out and campaigned hard for Angle in her losing big against Harry Reid.

Tarkanian is a solid conservative, who opposes raising the debt ceiling.  He is not a wishy-washy liberal Republican.   Ask the man a question and you get an answer.   Tarkanian has also displayed toughness when dealing with liberals.  In 2004, he ran for the Nevada State Senate.  A liberal accused him of setting up telemarketing companies that ran scams, victimizing senior citizens and that he had turned “state’s evidence” in order to avoid prosecution.  Tarkanian lost that race.  He could have simply written it off to a hard fought campaign.  Instead, he stood on principle and sued Michael Schneider for defamation.  A Clark County Nevada jury agreed and awarded Tarkanian $150,000.

Tarkanian has been an active supporter of the Tea Party movement and is a member of Tea Party Nation.

Brian Sandoval is the current governor of Nevada, having just been sworn in this past January.  Governor Sandoval is a good guy. We need to call him and encourage him to appoint Tarkanian to the Senate seat being vacated by John Ensign.

Because of many upcoming crucial votes in Washington, Governor Sandoval will probably want to make an appointment very soon. Please call and fax his office today, and ask him to appoint Danny Tarkanian to the Senate to serve out John Ensign’s unexpired term.

The Governor’s phone number is 775-684-5670.  His fax number is 775-684-5683.  You can also go on their website and leave an email.  The website is http://nv.gov/GovSandoval.aspx

We need your help.   Let’s get Nevada to put a good, solid, Tea Party Republican in the Senate.  We need his vote to help stop the out of control spending by the Democrats.   This will be the first battle of the 2012 election cycle.   Let’s start this one off with a win. Call today and ask Governor Sandoval to appoint Danny Tarkanian to the United States Senate.

Yesterday, Gov., Sandoval announced that Rep., Dean Heller had been appointed to fill John Ensign's seat in the Senate. Now the state of Nevada will have an election to fill Dean Hellers seat in the House of Representatives. We must fight, and fight hard to keep Shelley Berkley from winning, she is another Harry Reid.
Angle may run.  Heaven help us.
You are so right Laura. We will eventually win this battle here in Nevada.
Angle has announced her intention to run for the seat vacated by Dean Heller.  I've met Sharron Angle, though I haven't spoken to her personally.  She is a solid Constitutionl Conservative who ran a pathetic campaign.  She lost with her own people screwing it up for her! Her own words sometimes didn't help!

Sharron Angle made a habit of being late for speaking engagements and proved to be quite difficult. Although she is a solid constitutionalist, I perfer someone else for a candidate.

I found out that Sharon didn't take some crucial campaign advice because she didn't want to hurt some feelings of people that had been helping her and ended up losing the support of the only union that had agreed to support her.  She's too soft - not a fighter.

Sharron Angle is threatening to run as an Independent for Heller's Congressional seat if she is not the Republican nominee. I let her know via the Tea Party Central-Nevada site that this was a very bad idea.

Thank you.
