An idea is circulating through the ranks of the Republican Party.  They really do not have to pay attention to the Tea Party.   After all, it does not matter who the GOP nominates, the Tea Party is so focused on getting Barack Obama out of office, it won’t matter.  At least that seems to be their train of thought.

The latest incarnation of this way of thinking popped up yesterday when my friend Amy Kremer appeared on Fox News and said,"Whoever the Republican nominee is will have to have the support of the Tea Party movement, the entire Tea Party movement."

Amy is a good friend of mine.  She and I go back to the early days of this movement, when we were both organizing (along with others) the first Tea Party events in February 2009.

Amy, I am sure, will be the first to agree with me this movement still has no leader.  She is not the leader, nor is it me.    And as does happen among friends sometimes, we disagree and the GOP needs to pay attention.

If the Republican Party believes it can simply give us another bad nominee and the Tea Party is just going to jump to the front lines and lead the battle for this nominee, they have another thing coming.

There has long been a civil war simmering in the Republican Party.   It is the conservatives against the establishment Republicans.  The conservatives are the activists who go out and put out yard signs, man phone banks and do the “boots on the ground” work that no campaign can live without.  Every two or four years depending, the establishment GOP comes out, swears it is really conservative and after this election cycle conservatives will get what we want.

Then, the establishment gets elected, goes back to Washington and pretty much ignores conservatives until they are needed at the next election.

The Tea Party has a huge number of members who in the past have been those conservative activists.  In the past, these conservatives would hold their noses, do what they had to and hope for the best.  That was before the Tea Party movement.  Since the creation of the Tea Party movement, the world has not been the same and this election will not be the same.

The GOP is on notice.   We are not going to try to bail you out if you give us a bad nominee.  We want a great nominee that we can work our hearts out for.  We want change.  We want to throw Obama and his merry band of socialists out of the White House and the halls of power.  We want to consign socialism to the ash-heap of history.

If the GOP saddles us with another bad nominee, many if not most of the Tea Party people are not going to be out there working for him.  Mitt Romney is a bad choice.  Jon Huntsman is a bad choice.  Gary Johnson is a disastrous choice.  We may or may not be able to stomach Tim Pawlenty.  Michele Bachmann is a better choice as is Herman Cain or if they run, Jim DeMint or even Rick Perry.

In 2008, the Republican establishment gave us John McCain.  For that reason alone, the establishment needs to sit down and shut up. 2012 is our election.  To the GOP establishment we simply say, we will lead.  Follow us and we will have a GOP majority for the foreseeable future.  Give us another John McCain and you can expect conservatives to vote with their feet.

Don’t take us for granted.

You do not automatically have the Tea Party vote.

Thank you for clarifing that there is no Leader of the TEA Party but we do stand as an unit.  We need to target Lindsey Graham and make an example out of him for the establishment.  His time is up I believe so who are we getting to run against him?

Thanks for putting this out there and I for one will not be working for another RINO.   I will be looking for property out of this country.  Maybe Mexico or Central America.  They may even have some jobs available.

...Lindsey Graham is up for reelection in 2014... we'll just have to put up with him for a little while longer.

...a non Mexican can't own property in Mexico... can't vote... can't be involved in politics in any way, shape or manner. The only stable country in Central America is Costa Rica... can't own land there either, but you can lease for 99-years. Nicaragua and Venezuela are presently trying to destabilize Costa Rica, because they want to build a second "Panama Canal', using the river that separates Costa Rica and Nicaragua, but is totally owned by Costa Rica... incursions by the Nicaraguan army has already cost the lives of some farmers along the river, and Costa Rica has complained to the UN, but thus far they've received no support.

...Rhonda, there's no place to run.

They have no conception of property rights in most of those countries - better to go to New Zealand or Australia - they are socialist but not as bad - to tell the truth we need to fight for this country - you can go to Thailand - they have their issues but better than S. America - however countries around them are not very nice - could blow up eventually

In fact most countries would not let you own property - not sure of Australia and NewZealand - but Asia and S. America (for sure S. American countries) do not

...you can visit, but you can't move to Australia unless you have a trade they need, or are financially independent... read that recently.

...I agree, we need to fight for this country... we can win.

yeah, just like the icelandic countries and interestingly enough, israel.

seems like some folks have gotten the message that 'time is short'...b

Or unless you marry an aussie, then you are entitled to a chunk of the outback. So why are we the only country on earth you can literally walk over the border into and apply for benefits? We just got a hint today when several liberal democrat controlled states headed by Mass announced they will not obey the law to turn in CRIMINAL illegal aliens to ICE if they committed only "minor" crimes. Invading another country is minor to them?

...in spite of all the evidence that illegal aliens are sucking the lifeblood out of our social infrastructure, while creating a sub culture that is hostile to everything American, some states and cities still insist on coddling them... AFTER some thought, idle or otherwise, only one conclusion is possible as to why:  The Intentional Destruction Of America.

...OUR next president MUST put a halt to this. IN addition to announcing that all laws presently on the books will be enforced, ALL cities and states must also love ALL federal funding, whether that funding be for road repair or the Arts... they lose it all, and they lose it immediately. In addition, ALL politicians and appointed hacks even remotely related to this breach of faith, are to be indicted for Treason and held without bail ~ well, if I were the President it would happen that way!

It's no wonder I live in Mass. and the Governor reneged on his promised on the bill offered for secure communities. That's why I'll never vote for a Liberal. Forked tongue once again being used by a politician. Is'nt that great?

The GOP, as have the Dems/Libs, have once more failed to take seriously, the voice of the People, as expressed in the November 2010 elections! What a fiasco . . . and America is paying dearly! Most everyone in Washington is focused on getting re-elected and not on: 1) passing a realistic budget, 2) cutting expenses (shrinking government, which including killing Obamacare), 3) reducing taxes while promoting growth/jobs in the private sector, 4) forcefully addressing the hidden war (Mexican cartels) at our border with only 40,000 dead and counting, 5) and the list is . . . sadly longer than any of us ever imagined.

At this time, there is still not enough Tea Party candidates in Washington. That needs to change along with getting the all of the government branches, at all levels, quickly infused with new leaders . . .. real leaders who can make tough choices for the country and not for their political careers. The opportunity is presenting itself once more! The Tea Party needs to start sounding out now that "business as usual" will have dire consequences for the upcoming election. Why now? With the media, along with its modus operandi, this country is "saddled with"  . . . getting the facts straight nor telling all the facts impartially has never been been their forte! No party should take the Tea Party for granted, but the Tea Party needs to continue with its visibility, strength, growing numbers to solidly demonstrate that the Tea Party and its Constitution believing members "was not a summer thing!" IT IS HERE TO STAY

First thing … everyone needs to realize that the whole election cycle (like it has been in the past) will again be manipulated by the MSM, George Soros, et. al.

This is how we got McCain being the Republican nominee in 2008!

In 2008, I held my nose and voted for McCain.  Afterwards I promised myself that it was the last time I do that.  It is so depressing to vote for someone you despise, just because you despise the other candidate more.  From now-on I only vote for a candidate I respect and agree with her/his values.

...the "election cycle", Mike, was forever changed with the formation of the Tea Party. Formulas, rules, equations, past history no longer count as they once did. WE now control the outcome, so long as we speak and vote as one...
