John Boehner decides to grow a backbone.  Isn’t that special.  Unfortunately, he decided to direct his sudden spinal fortitude against Republican Congressmen instead of the Obama, Pelosi, Reid axis of fiscal evil.

Boehner had a closed door meeting with the House Republicans and told undecided Representatives to “Get your ass in line.”  Then he said something else.

He said, “I can’t do this job unless you are behind me.”  Well, the first half of that sentence is correct.  Boehner cannot do the job.

Boehner got the job because he was the next guy in line.  Union shops must be green with envy at the GOP’s seniority rules.   Unfortunately, like the guys in shops, promoted only on the basis of seniority, Boehner has clearly risen past his level of competence.

History should be a great instructor to the GOP.  In the 1970’s while the establishment Republicans ran the show, the Democrats had a supermajority in Congress.   Along came Reagan in 1980 and Republicans swept into power.  When George H.W. Bush went into the White House, the establishment took over and we got Bill Clinton.  In 1994, Newt Gingrich ran on a conservative “Contract with America” and for the first time in 38 years the GOP controlled the House.  In 2000, George W. Bush claimed to be a conservative and sent Al Gore back to his home state of Washington DC.    By 2006, the establishment Republicans were in charge again and the GOP got their heads handed to them.   In 2008, the establishment struck again.  The John McCain campaign could be compared to Custer’s last stand except Custer got a better result.

Then came the elections of 2010.  Then came the Tea Party.   The Tea Party saved the Republican Party from oblivion and permanent minority status.

Of course, as soon as the GOP had their majority, the RINOs were back in, claiming it was their turn. Boehner’s “turn” has been a total disaster.   He had the greatest mandate a House Speaker may have ever had.   He managed to blow it.

Boehner wants to throw up some smoke and mirrors to make the Tea Party believe he is doing something.   The Tea Party actually got something done.  Do you think Cut, Cap and Balance would have ever come up for a vote without the Tea Party pushing it?

Do you think Boehner would have cut a DIME from the budget without the Tea Party?

Cut, Cap and Balance was a start.  It does not do enough to cut spending but it is a start.  Boehner’s plan is not a plan.  It is a joke.

We, the Tea Party, have a message for you John Boehner.

Get YOUR ass in line!

We put you in power.  To paraphrase Bill Cosby, “we put you in power and we can take you out.”

Months ago, on Tea Party Nation, we called for Boehner to be primaried.   A number of other groups have now joined our call for Boehner to be primaried.   We are glad they now agree with us.

We need the GOP to act now.  We need the GOP to reject the Boehner plan and tell the White House, they have a bill.  It is called Cut, Cap and Balance.  Take it or leave it.

We need the GOP to do one other thing.  Boehner has got to go.  Not at the end of this term but it needs to happen now.   We need a good Tea Party conservative to be the Speaker.  We need someone with vision and courage to lead Congress.

And we need that now.

Get rid of him and all fake, spineless politicians. Replace them with Americans !
Cut, Cap, and Vote them out!
AMEN TO THAT !!
We must demand no more behind closed doors meetings with a few.  Obama seems to have a way with words and molds in the weak like puddy.  Boehner is not a strong leader and he has got to stay away from these closed doors meetings. Congress should be worried.  Congress better sit Boehner down and wake him up to the real danger we are in!  They have to STAND STRONG LIKE OUR FOUNDING FATHERS!  This is our stage now and he better not blow it!
Boehner must go.

use twitter again...tweet out to the usual, including Boehner to unass his position as speaker

Well, if you get "Downsize DC," read that today.  According to their leader, the House doesn't have to do a thing.  Just do nothing.  But we might have scored in the mid-terms; however, I wish Judson would realize that the Tea Party does not have 20 or 30 million members.  Strength in numbers.  What are our numbers?  We might wield some power in certain districts, but the Tea Party does NOT have the power you seem to think it has.  I would love for the Tea Party to have more power and grow, but the fact remains is that we are the numbers we are.  And with our numbers, we cannot call all the shots.  As I said in an earlier post, we have one half of one third of the power in this country.  We do NOT have the Dramacraps in the House, and we do NOT have the Senate nor do we have the executive branch.  I think the best bet is doing nothing.

Weird.  We had even fewer numbers in the mid-terms and made a huge difference.

I respectfully disagree that "the best bet is doing nothing".  I'm pretty sure that's a big reason we got into this mess.

Debbie

We did nothing when a "few" gays  demonstrated, nothing when a few pastors preached how "peaceful" Islam is,

nothing when we allowed circumvention in our school system of basics(teaching children readin, writin & rithmatic) instead of social compliance, nothing when we practiced in our daily workplace & social events(political correctness), instead of standing up for moral principals.  Debbie we deserve the felons we have destroying our country & as long as we have folks like you & your defeatist attitude, we will continue to have our ass handed to us

Ted, a Patriot

Thanks Ted, well said and true!

Duh....But we do control the house and with that the purse strings....why is that so hard to understand

That is correct William.  Nothing will happen until the house makes it happen.  The house holds the cards,

not the Progressive run Senate and Fraud in the Oval Office.  The House should say final proposal, No debt ceiling raise, cut 14.5T plan in 5 years, go after waste and fraud in government, fire 25% of this bloated and out of control government, etc.  That is the final proposal, take it of leave it progressives.  Let the government default if it refuses to live within its means and reduce government to control expenditures.  That is the solution form the bond rating side and the tea party.
