The face palm is a classic of non-verbal communication. Sometimes, someone does something so stupid, there really aren’t words for it. So instead of speaking all you can really do is put your face in your palm and wonder if Darwin had it wrong when he assumed humans were evolving upwards.
With the Obama regime, there are a lot of face palms. And of course, they are doing it again. To err is human but to reach this level of stupidity, you need the Obama regime.
In Detroit, TSA agents harassed a man named Drew Mandy getting on a flight to Florida. The twenty nine year old man had trouble complying with the TSA instructions. The reason the man had trouble complying was that he is mentally disabled and functions at the level of a two year old. The twenty nine year old man wears adult diapers because of his handicap and that is certainly something that should legitimately be checked out. But then the TSA decided they were going to confiscate his six-inch plastic toy hammer. Yes, I am sure a terrorist boarding a plane is going to use a six-inch plastic toy hammer to attack the flight crew.
When the man had trouble following the TSA employees’ orders, his father, who was taking him to Disney World, tried to tell the TSA about his son’s disabilities. The TSA reply should be a classic, right up there with, “we are from the government. We are here to help you. Trust us.”
The TSA employees told the man to back away, saying (and don’t laugh when you read this), “Please sir, we know what we are doing.”
That guy should try out for open mic night at the comedy club.
The TSA has no clue as to what they are doing. Neither does the Department of Homeland Security, the clown of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano or of course Obama.
This same week, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell released a letter he sent to the chief clown at DHS, Janet Napolitano, complaining about DHS’ lack of action on his request that 28 state police officers be trained to assist in the Department’s 287(g) program. The 287(g) program allows police officers to be trained by Immigration and Customs, so that when someone is arrested for a criminal offense and there is some reason to believe that they might not be in the country legally (no identification, can’t speak English), the police can check with immigration and if the person is in the country illegally, an immigration detainer can be placed on them.
Of course the Obama regime has all but put a halt to deporations of illegals, but still they could be at least temporarily jailed.
Perhaps someone should remind the Obama regime that at least three of the 9/11 hijackers had overstayed their visas. At least one of them was stopped by the police while he was in this country illegally. Who knows? Had the police been able to arrest him for the immigration violation, 9/11 might not have happened.
Of course it is worth remembering that six months after 9/11 the government approved a student visa for the ringleader of the 9/11 attacks. I know some government workers are not the sharpest knives in the drawer but you would think the name Mohammad Atta would have rung a few bells back then!
Perhaps DHS should spend a little more time on enforcing our immigration laws and that might help keep America safer than TSA fast food rejects harassing a mentally handicapped man.
How many Americans would still be alive today if DHS and the Obama regime took seriously their constitutional duties to protect this country? Perhaps Houston Police Officer Kevin Will would be. Kevin Will was killed earlier this month by a twice deported illegal alien. The illegal was drunk and slammed his car into Will, who moments before impact pushed a civilian out of harms way. At the time of his death, Will’s wife was six months pregnant.
2012 is coming and we will vote these clowns out of office. Voting them out of office is not nearly enough. When the Republicans took over after the 2000 election, George Bush swept all of the Democratic mischief under the rug. No more. We need someone who will come in, dismantle all of the socialist apparatus the Obama regime has put in place and indict some former members of the Obama regime for what they have done to America.
As for Drew Mandy, his toy hammer, which he had carried for twenty years, ended up in the trash. His parents were given the option of trying to mail it back to their home, but they would have missed their flight if they had tried to do that.
Perhaps Drew was the one with the last laugh. His mother, also on the trip, had put a back up plastic hammer in her backpack and that went through TSA screening without a problem.

Up rushes the uniformed el-stupido. I'm calling for an ambulance.
Response: You call a damned ambulance, you will be paying for it. This person has had a seizure, and he will lay here in the corridor until he wakes up. Unless you are smart enough to go get a damned wheel chair and help me get him to a quite area. A wheel chair appeared and there was no more discussion.
I would never try to take him through a TSA gate check. There would be a number of injured individuals quickly.
Permalink Reply by Jon O. Weiss on I am a computer technician, the last time I went through a TSA checkpoint it cost me money. I was carrying a computer case with a laptop in it, I also had a variety of tools in the case. I had removed all of the tools that I thought might be considered a weapon and placed them in the check baggage. They confiscated a pair of needle nose pliers, of the miniature variety (3 inches in total length, and matching set of wire cutters) they did however allow me to keep my multimeter, with the six inch long needle style probes. When they x-rayed the case they saw the wire cutters and pliers, but could not figure out where they were located in the bag, as they were in an internal pocket that was velcroed shut, when I attempted to point to point out the location of the pocket the TSA dimwit, put his hand on my chest and ordered me to "stand back". I offered no resistance and we waited nearly 10 minutes for a supervisor, I attempted to talk the TSA agent through opening the pocket but I guess following simple instructions was beyond his mindset. They confiscated the pliers and the cutters, and I nearly missed my flight.
Next time I need to travel coast to coast I think I'll drive.
Even with the gas prices, the absence of dealing with TSA idiocy will be worth it.

Weiss on Something that TSA personnel are obviously not taught, is a lesson that I used to teach to soldiers performing similar duties of checkpoints and personal inspections. That lesson is..."If you don't know...ask someone." There appears to be little if any commons sense present in TSA. A plastic hammer, GIVE ME A BREAK.
Also the rules for liquids... Why the limitations on quantity?
It does not take a "Wiley Coyote Suuuuper Genius", to open a bottle and verify that the contents of a bottle are hand lotion and not fulminate of mercury (an explosive compound) and therefore non explosive.
As a passenger, on a commercial flight, if the person is carrying hand lotion, I don't care if they bring a 5 gallon can on board as long as it fits under the seat in front of them.
Once again TSA rules fail the common sense test.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refused to deny that such exemptions existed when CNS News asked her about them on Monday, saying instead that "adjustments will be made where they need to be made" and that "there will be more to come" on this issue.

What I did not say that was pertinent, the Arabs were NOT NAZI's (but then neither were a lot of the German allies, Italy, parts of Bulgaria, Hungary, Rumania, Yugoslavia, Japan, just to name a few) the Arabs were aligned with the NAZI's due to British domination of the region prior to the war and the Arabs wanted to rid themselves of the British and they eventually accomplished that goal, and the Arabs have been killing each other ever since.
A small piece of evidence that proves this can be seen in Iraq of the past 20 years where there have allegedly been suicide bombers trying to rid their country of Americans, but the odd thing on that claim is that many of the suicide bombers have blown up targets such as shopping areas where no American were present. Killing their own countrymen is an odd way of getting rid of an occupying force. This region has also had internal wars that sometimes spilled out of the area such as the decade long war between Iraq and Iran (I say a spill because Iran is not technically an Arab nation but is ethnically Persian.)
As for Obama being a dictator, I believe his personal arrogance has clearly demonstrated that he will dictate as far as he is allowed by the people and the Congress. Next years election is pivotal in that regard, even if Obama is re elected there is the hope that a larger Republican majority in Congress will be able to offset his dictates. In any case the U.S. Government has always been at its best when there is gridlock at the top and worst when one party holds all the reins of power. The sad reality for Obamas supporters is that his economic policy will evenutally collapse the economy and when it does, the ones at the bottom of the economic scale who are currently living on government handouts, will be hit the hardest. Millionaires will also lose a major part of their fortunes they will have enough to cushion the blow that will be the Obama economic disaster.
