Eu Tu Rick?
Politico’s hit piece on Herman Cain was fresh off the presses and buzzing through the Internet as Herman Cain’s team was busy trying to figure out who was the source. Obviously the story came from another campaign, but which one?
Now we know, or at least the Cain campaign wants us to know they think they know.
The campaign of Rick Perry.
From the Washington Times:
According to a source who is friends with the Cain campaign, not only is the Rick Perry campaign involved but also the Mayor of Chicago and former Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is likely involved with the sexual harassment accuser attacks. A friend of the Cain campaign believes a National Restaurant Association (NRA) employee out of the Chicago office leaked the story to the Perry campaign via information and influence from Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office.
Interesting.
The involvement of Rick Perry’s campaign, assuming this report is accurate, is not a great shock. First, Perry comes from Texas where politics as a blood sport is taken to a new level. In Texas, not only do they want to beat you, but they want to kicked you down to the ground. Perry is certainly capable.
Perry clearly has motive. Cain came out of the pack, where Perry had been leading and took Perry’s support.
It is certainly reasonable to think that the Perry camp believes that if something happened to Cain, that support would go back to Perry.
More interesting would be the role Rahm Emanuel plays in this. Politics does make strange bedfellows.
First, assuming Rahm was involved, you can be absolutely certain he did nothing without running it past Team Obama. The conventional wisdom breaks both ways regarding Obama and Cain.
First, you can see how Obama would want to get rid of Herman Cain early and fear him as one of the strongest candidates. Herman Cain is the Anti-Obama. He is a black man who became an incredible success by following the rules. He lives the American dream. He is proof that anyone in America can become a success.
He contrasts sharply with Obama. He also brings something to the table that Obama fears. Cain as the nominee could shatter the Democrat’s monopolistic hold on the black vote. Cain’s nomination would take Obama’s race card right out of play.
The conventional wisdom also says that if you have something that could destroy a candidacy the way the media wants us to believe these allegations will destroy Cain, you save it for an October surprise.
The most likely scenario is that the story is not nearly as bad as some of the media outlets are letting on and this is being released now to try and take down Cain’s campaign while it can still be done.
The overwhelming conventional wisdom is that Obama wants to face Romney. Romney as the nominee would depress the conservative-Tea Party base and allow Obama to face the weakest candidate.
Unfortunately, Cain’s Achilles heel is his campaign organization. Over the last few days, I have talked to a number of people about this. They range from Cain supporters to a couple of people I regard as brilliant political operators. Their take on Cain’s campaign organization is the same.
It is a disaster.
One of the operators I spoke to last night, who has run Congressional campaigns, expressed shock over the Cain organization. The words I have heard repeatedly from people are, “inept” and “incompetent.” One told me, “If he can’t run a Presidential campaign, how is he going to run the country?” Another said, “His selling point is his executive experience. His organization says something about his executive experience.”
Herman Cain seems poised to survive this hit. However, if he does not do something to get an experienced campaign staff and organization in place, the next hit will sink him.

Rahm Emanuel and Obama are the puppets of the political machine that made this country a socialist, Marxist, multiculturalism country, Chicago is like California, the political corruption of Chicago is in every state in this union, they spend millions of Dollar to influence other states in the promotion of labor unions, sanctuary to illegal aliens , pro amnesty and the NAU, while showing on the news media as the defenders of the working people.

I agree, 100%! I`ve spoken to MANY fellow Conservatives who were backing Bachmann, Gingrich,Perry and Romney who are now supporting Cain because of this sleazy attack.

This episode was a TEST SHOT into the BOW of the Cain Ship to see what crew and ship would do when put to the test. Would this episode and it's follow-up media hits sink the Cain run-for-the Presidency Ship .... or would he survive and a larger attack be needed to Sink this ship?
If it was orchestrated by anyone in the Obama Administration, past or present advisors, you can bet it was supposed to be the Pearl Harbor Shot that was supposed to put Cain down and out for the count, but did it awake the sleeping giant that is America? One has to wonder with all the CASH donations suddenly pouring into Cains fundraising arm of his organization.
Indeed, America is SKEPTICAL of any news item these days and NEGATIVE news putting Cain's Name in the news cycle just might be the best advertising to make his NAME a household word? Yeppers ... the opposite effect often happens when a political figure survives a political hit. We can only wait and see if America is as forgiving of Cain if he is guilty, or if America is vengeful if towards the source of this hit-job and all the little contributors to the Negative Press heaped upon Herman Cain? Yeah, America can wake up and be vengeful when they find out ... the press and politicians are pulling another con-job. Fact is .. even the LIberals and Democrat's staunches supporters are getting sick of the B.S. political attacks ... where is all the economic relief they promise three years ago?
Enough already with the stupid stories ... FIX THE FREAKING ECONOMY! If ya can't ... time for you Democrats in the Senate holding up the bills sent there by the Republican house to get out of government! Seriously ... take your boy Obama with you ... send him on the college circuit to collect fees for his speeches because he certainly isn't fixing the American Economy.... that seems about all he can do... give pretty speeches and run for president ...
Last question ... did anyone find out where all that money Obama got in the last election came from or how many phony votes he got in that last election? Just checking .. since we still don't have his school records which might have information he declared himself to be a foreign student to get foreign aid .... just checking...

Wes, good point, and notice how this crap has dominated the news cycle for days now...they are trying to milk it for all it's worth, and then some. Meanwhile, no one is paying attention to the REAL scandals: Solyndra, LightSquared, Operation Fast and Furious, Eric Holder, the new Islamic theocracies emerging in Libya and Egypt (thanks to the Obama administration), the tanking economy, no jobs, etc., etc.

Joanne, your false statements have already been addressed in a previous comment by me, and also in the original blog that we are all commenting on, by Judson. Judson and I have both posted proof.
The big picture here is that Perry will sink Perry, just as he done from the beginning. It's just sick and sad to watch.

James - Herman is on record that 999 is the first step twards the Fair Tax - which is what we should have now.... I am a 30 year CPA - made a large portion of my living from this monstrasity....... The Tax Code should be burned..
