How did this happen so fast? Are we asleep at the wheel? The entire region is at risk and it happened in a week. What does that mean for our future? Jordan's King is trying hard to save his nation by firing the Government. We should support him as a Middle East is at a pivot point that will influence the future course of our world. There are events that will transpire in the next week that will set our collective fates. Can we influence those events? Probably not but it may give some comfort to understand what will set that fate.

"JERUSALEM – Egypt and Israel have information a large quantity of weapons, including new and sophisticated firepower, was smuggled from Egypt into the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip in the last two days, according to informed Middle East security officials.
Israeli security officials fear a growing state of anarchy exists along the Gaza-Egypt border, with Islamist groups there taking advantage of the chaos in Egypt amid mass protests threatening the regime of President Hosni Mubarak. Egyptian security forces have been focused largely on quelling the riots.
"Something big was brought into the Gaza Strip," said an informed security official.
The official said it was not known yet exactly what was transferred into Gaza, but he speculated it may have been a large quantity of antiaircraft missiles."

The important point to take away here is that Israel is going in to defensive mode. Who can blame them? Many of our allies in the Middle East feel betrayed and are going in to self preservation mode. It is going to be a rough ride so hang on.
Our government aka Obama is in way over their collective heads. There is now way to manage or influence these events. The Region will sit in a vacuum absent Leadership. It will give the opportunity for Muslim religious influences to take hold. History supports this as the "Revolution" in Iran resulted in an Islamic State. It was supposed to give the people of Iran more freedom. What is did was result in an oppressive government, lead by a madman.
Is that the same fate for Egypt? Will they fall back to the stone age and put people in holes and stone them to death? And if the stones don't kill them they will just shoot them in the head? This is the modern version of the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet but also a clear picture of this faith. This the face of Islam in its origin. Some say it is a has evolved to a religion of peace. Some say this is not the face of Islam. I say that is to be determined. I am not here judge but am here to just lay out the obvious.
All these events are current. All these events are real. We all struggle to interpret them. Do not take anything at face value. It is too confusing and you are on your own to make a determination.
Expect a conflict.. pray for peace. Prepare for the obvious.

What they will do is many will die. I respect their cry for freedom. What is tragic is that there is nothing behind them to make that happen in a true sense. Maybe in another generation and we can all hope that will come to pass.
The events will set the future. None of us is wise enough to be able to predict that. We'll see.. let's discuss in another week or so.. By then.. it will be settled or not..

When Egypt erupted, who has a despot but aligned more closely with Ameican interests.... change must come now... the will of the people must be heard.

I am not an extremest but I have basic knowlage of the Bible and basic knowlage current events in the world. Egypt is a stepping stone to an Islamic world.
With all this going on, our Military is smack in the middle of all this. Is this a move to lay our military on the chopping block.
There have been to many stratigaic mistakes made by BO. There is a much bigger agenda lying under the surface. BE PREPARED

He can't take care of what's going on in his own country, much less an actual uprising. Besides, if this turns into an actual military conflict where our boys can shoot back instead of the hold your fire political babysitting we've been doing there for over 30 years.Then maybe he'll get to stay in office if damaging evidence is found out about him?
