Donald Trump has joined a lot of really sane Americans.    He, like us, does not believe Barack Obama.  Trump appeared on Good Morning America where he came out and said he has a lot of doubts as to whether Barack Obama was born in the United States.

Bravo Donald!

When Trump came out and said this, he did something amazing.  It was not that he agreed with a lot of Americans who say they have doubts about Obama.   The great thing about what Donald did is he said it and he did not flinch when he said it.  A lot of the alleged conservative leaders have run like cockroaches when the lights are turned on from the eligibility issue.    The fact that Trump will deal with that issue and deal with it head on raises his stock as a possible Presidential candidate in a lot of people’s eyes.

Trump could have simply ignored the issue.  He could have side stepped it.  He could have simply not dealt with it.  Instead he pointed out the obvious.  This guy is the most mysterious man ever to occupy the White House.  He has refused to release almost any of his records.  He has refused to release school records, including his records as an undergraduate at Occidental College. Some people have alleged that Obama attended college there on a foreign student scholarship.   Opening those records could refute that claim, assuming it is a false claim.  How about his social security records?  Obama has a social security number that originates from a state that he not only never lived in, there is no proof he even visited that state.  How did he end up with that number?

How about his law school records?  We know what George Bush’s grade point average was because he released all of his records.  In 2004, John Kerry refused to release his military records.   In 2008, Obama took this to a new level, refusing to release almost any of his records.  The lap dog media quietly ignored that.  You can bet in 2012, they will be after the records of every conservative who is a serious candidate for the Oval Office.

In the same interview, Trump also pointed out the obvious that so many people seem to be missing.  The next candidate the GOP selects has got to be someone who can beat Barack Obama.  Obama will not be a push over.  He will raise $1 billion for his reelection campaign, including the illegal contributions and the Chinese cash he will get.   He also added the magic words.  Someone has to knock out Obamacare.

Trump is not the perfect candidate.   There are and should be a lot of concerns about him.  His previous support of Rahm Emanuel is disturbing.  He seems to have changed his position on abortion and gay marriage.

However, one thing that you can say about Donald, he has shown some courage that some other potential candidates have not shown.

A lot of questions remain about him, but his stock, unlike some other potential candidates, should be rising among conservatives.

just had a lucid thought re: mr. trumps' endeavor...

if i were one of the sharpest knives in the drawer i wouldn't compromise the efforts

of my agents by telegraphing my intent to the entire free world; rather, i'd wait untill

i had the proof and then toss the idea into the msm, sit back, watch the ebb and flow

of public opinion, the primary dynamic, and then strike with the facts when i felt they

could tip the balance in the gop decision. just a thought...

William

There is no doubt that Obama can not stand a legal level judgement.  He is in clear violation of the Constitution. There is much doubt as to whether the public has heard the charge of crazy and extreme loud enough and often enough to have brainwashed them to eschew this issue.  Certainly, virtually all members of the conservative talk circuit have been warned often and repeatedly not to broach this issue.  To those hosts I ask, How can you preach the Constitution and ignore the single most vital Constitutional issue of your lives?  How can some of you preach Christianity and turn a blind eye to the one truth that has the power to excise your nemisis?

The birth certificate is only another reason to remove the President.  It is not fully known how the discovery will play out with regards to the birth certificate, but there is a mountain of evidence pointing to there not being one, or it concealing such information that would blow the lid off of the fabrication known as Obama.  As Trump said, "the biggest scam in history." The man who has spent more than any king, pope, tsar or emperor in the history of the world is "the biggest scam in history."  Where the money has gone is largely unknown.

Trump is not going to take on the entire media, both conservative and liberal and the political elite, both Republican and Democrat, without having a very good idea were this is going.  Once Obama starts to unravel, it will go very quickly.  He has started to unravel, just as his drunken spending has started to yield its inevitable results,  stagflation and a new world reserve currency.  Let us survive to remove this cancer on the body politic before the fiscal tsunami reaches our shore.

royce,

thanks for following this thread so long.

i'll admit i had been lulled into complacency re: the 'birth angle' (i've been absorbed by the middle east

concerns over the last year) but i used most of my time today researching this argument

and it rings true, hence my veiled suggestion that mr. trumps' quest is a foregone conclusion.

my greater concern of course is that our legislative branch will be allowed to act.

my greatest fear is that we the people are already overcome and the only fight left is how quietly

we will go to the slaughter...     excuse me; i didn't actually say that, did i?

WILLIAM ... Did you see him interviewed?  That idiot O'Reilly pummeled him.  Trump just said he's thinking about running for President ... and he's investigating Obama ... Nothing more.  I think he can't throw his hat in the ring until his TV show is finished for the season... otherwise, he might be challenged for equal time every time he goes on the show.  But I think he's sincere.  I think he can give Obama a run for his money.  And I think Obama is the only one with ENOUGH money to do it.  His only trouble, as I see it, is that this guy has a lot of domestic problems and he doesn't really know how to press the flesh, which all politicians must do.  To me, he seems as if he has trouble being affable. This is a tough businessman ... someone this country can really use.  Best always, John

you know john it's funny how time and circumstance have changed my opinions.

i used to consider o'reilly a breath of fresh air and never gave the trumps of the world

a second thought.

i used  to admire lindsey graham and wonder why our congress suffered

a wretch like dennis kucinich in their ranks.

i thought i was enlightened 'cause i endured the tedious machinations of our

legislative bodies on c-span, day after frustrating day, for years.

and at the end of each day i'd challenge myself by creating informed, persuasive

rebuttal to the socialist talking points.

but over time the clothes i wore needed replacement...

the republican overcoat acquired too many tears and mendings;  the conservative

sweater became stiff and unyeilding; and even when i donned the bleached white

button-down of original intent, some well-meaning folks pointed out that the top

button should be open, others could prove it was meant to be closed.

so now i just drape an old flag over my shoulders, one with thirteen little stars;

and i guess that makes me a patriot.

so back to the top john, and thanks for your reply, perhaps we could be friends.

mr. trump for president?     anybody but barry.

William

Great sentiment!!

WILLIAM LEE ... Amen.  Anybody but barry ... but not Palin, though I love her.  It's just that she can't win.  I'd like to see her as number two on the ticket. Her of Michele Bachmann, who Karl Rove says is not seasoned enough for the top of the ticket. If I had my druthers, I'd pick Palin.  I think she's a REAL conservative.  And a good woman.  But alone, at the top of the ticket, I don't think she can win.  Not this time. Too bad. By the way, we are friends. Let's not stand on formalities.  We've got a cause.  We spoiling for a fight.  We're friends.   Best always, John

I wouldn't mind seeing Palin as the new RNC chair, or as President for that matter.

The problem we have here is the MSM trying to choose the Nominee for POTUS (for us).

We need to think for ourselves, just as the people did when they choose Reagan.

And as for Trump .........he's supposed to be caring about the country.  He shouldn't be willing to play 'spoiler' in order to ruin it for everyone else!

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2011/04/12/trump_why_yes,_im...

DEBRA RAE ... I think Sarah has already turned down RNC chair.  And as for Trump as spoiler ... I don't believe he realized what he was saying.  At least I HOPE he didn't.  It was politically DUM... that's DUM ... without the "B."  Best always, John

That doesn't have to ruin it for everyone else. He can expose the issue and draw the fire, while the others pretend to be "respectable," "sober" statesmen. In the meantime, millions of patriots start DEMANDING action on the incompetent, inexperienced, arrogant, TelePrompter-reading, criminal, Marxist usurper.

The only probelm is that he's making most of the rest of the field look like weak, lilly-livered patsies in comparison, even though a few are good. They need to speak up for their country. If Obama has nothing to hide, why don't we know more about him?  Why are our politicians and media not DEMANDING it? Good question.

The establishment-- both sides, including Priebus, Beck, O'Reilly, Rove, Romney, etc.-- is appalled and scared that most people LOVE what Trump is saying and have now cranked up their propaganda machine to maximum to destroy him, like they do to anyone who doesn't like the taste of their kool aid.

GEORGE... Yep .. I agree.  John

Trump is the only one with enough standing to say all the things that must be said.  He is calling the terms for the election.  He takes the fight to Obama.  Look at the media run scared that anyone can speak from the heart of the average American.  Look at the contrast between him and the next closest in ideology.  Palin was finally able to come out and say that Obama should show his birth certificate. Bachmann came out and said the same.

Romney and Rubio ran the other way.  Huckabee is a disgrace, kowtowing to Obama in much the same way that McCain did.  He makes me want to gag.  His constituency is only concerned with the abortion issue.
