I like Herman Cain.  He is bright, unconventional, plain spoken and despite all of his great qualities, about to make a terrible mistake.

Last night, on Fox, Charles Krauthammer asked Herman Cain if race had anything to do with the new attacks on him.  It was a hanging curveball that could have been crushed by Cain and knocked out of the park.

Instead we got this:

"I believe the answer is yes, but we do not have any evidence to support it. But because I am an unconventional candidate running an unconventional campaign and achieving some unexpected unconventional results in terms of my -- the poll. We believe that yes, there are some people who are Democrats, liberals who do not want to see me win the nomination. And there could be some people on the right who don't want to see me -- because I'm not the
'establishment candidate.' No evidence.

Relative to the left, I believe that race is a bigger driving factor. I don't think it's a driving factor on the right. This is just based upon our speculation.”

Yes, Herman liberals are much more racist than conservatives.  But the reason they are coming after you now has nothing to do with your race.  It has to do with your POLL NUMBERS!

Herman Cain could have had one of those winning moments.  All he had to say was, “I am winning and I have great ideas and those who oppose me will do anything to stop me.”

Instead of even touching on the race card, Cain could have put it to rest forever with a great response.

Regrettably others have picked up the race card and are running with it.

On Tuesday, Americans for Herman Cain, a super-PAC unaffiliated with his campaign, sent out a fundraising letter that called the allegations a “high-tech lynching” to “take down any black man who stands up for conservative values.”

Please give me a break.  This is not about race.  It is about winning.  Cain is winning.  Obama considers him a serious threat.  So does Romney.  There are others within the GOP who feel the same way.

The GOP is awash in really good talent.  We have as potential nominees, Cain, Gingrich and Bachmann who are all incredibly intelligent and gifted.

The problem Herman Cain has right now is his staff.   They should have been ready for the POLITICO story weeks ago.   They should have known that it was not if but when the race card question was going to come up.  They should have had an answer ready for him that would have knocked that one out of the park and had the quote as the headline of the day.

Cain is in the major leagues now.  He needs a major league staff if he is going to continue as a serious contender.

You're right, sometimes it pains me to see this man miss a "slam- dunk".....however, I'll take the honesty, and the apolitical style any day over the pre-written, Zombie-like responses by most in the  plastic political arena.

WHO EVER IT IS GOING TO BE AGAINST OBAMA IN 2012........................... WE NEED TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING BELOW A REALITY:

Wow, maybe this sexual harassment stunt was good. People are angry.

Even WITH the silly allegations Contributions Continue

OK I take that back. This harassment of Cain is GREAT! Rasmussen released the polls from tonight after ALL of this & Cain is ahead of Mitt by 10 LOL http://bit.ly/vvj9bq
Dittos, diana!
Cain seems to have good leadership qualities, he is sincere, and he has a business background. We have a president who has none of these things. Obama was void of any foreign policy experience or experience mananaging a business. Actually, I am not sure that he ever had a real job before entering politics. His law license in Illinois I understand was revoked or suspended. Cain has little political experience at all compared to other candidates. I think most of us have learned a lesson by electing a president with no experience needed to handle the job. The office of president should not be for training. I believe it requires political experience. It is apparent that Obama has learned very little in the past three years in on the job training. I do not think we can afford to elect another president having very little or no political experience.
cain is simply doing what any negro  who gets caugt doing anything does, screaming "i dint do nufingz" at the top of his lungs and calling the accuser "racist honeky mofos"  this country has already tried the "magic negro" route as a cure to its ills and has almost been destroyed by the worthless piece of crap that was selected in 08. we do not need to elect another affirmitive action president
WOW you need to get OUT of the Tea Party (if you are even Tea Party).  We do NOT allow racists in here!

try opening your eyes and looking at what is going on in the real world.  if youre white and male, you are so far from screwed that the light from screwed will hit you in a century.  it doesnt matter your qualifications, experience, work ethic or what not, if youre not black, dont worry about getting a well paying job or any of the help that they think that they are entitlted to, you get to scrape by at mcdonald or some other menial job.

you say racist, im a realist and you might want to get to be before its too late

And it sounds like you should belong to the KKK, not the Tea Party.

Let's see .... the Cain Camp blamed it on the Perry Camp who fingered the Romney Camp who has now pointed at ....

Rahm Emmanual?   Just can't make this stuff up!

I too, feel that things may very well come down to Cain and Gingrich.  I used to like Gingrich, but over the years, his occasional aligning himself with certain "Liberal" views, always leaves me wondering, "Who is the REAL Newt G."? Does he follow his own beliefs or is he going with what establishment types preach to him?

I know that many Political Analyst are saying that it's too late for anybody else to get in the race, but I still feel there's time, if a truly Consevative Minded, Constitutional Preaching person, would step forward.

Personally, I'm really getting sick of the in-fighting amongst the Candidates. What we really need right now are Candidates  who know how to address the ISSUES and how to contrast themselves against OBAMA; stop the bickering stuff.

Whomever leaked this stuff about Cain,...all they've done is gotten the Candidates off the issues and doing nothing but a bunch of stupid finger-pointing,....meantime,...UnEmployment,....Economy continues to tank,....Banks are tight on Loans,....Businesses won't finance projects or improvements,....and the President wants to Raise taxes and applaud the OCCUPY Group.
