Committing ritual Japanese suicide
In ancient days, in Japan, if a warrior dishonored himself or his lord, he would commit ritual suicide. He would take a short sword and drive it into his stomach, making a crossing motion. Just as the pain would become excruciating, his second would take a samurai sword and decapitate him.
We are seeing this same ritual playing out in Washington. Only this time it is the Republican Party who is driving the knife into their own belly, while Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi stand by as executioners to administer the final blow.
The stakes in this battle being waged on Capitol Hill today are enormous. Just by selling out conservative principles, and allowing the Democrats to stampede them into this terrible “compromise” the Republican Party is now badly damaged.
If the Republican Party musters enough votes so that the Obamanomic Plan is passed, we could now see the end of the Republican Party.
For the Republican leadership, the level of their insanity is obvious. Basic economics teaches people to act in their own self interest. Can someone please give me a clue how agreeing to a plan that gives the Democrats everything they want and that runs totally counter to the alleged principles of the Republican party is in the best interest of the Party or the leadership?
Does anyone in the Republican Party remember George H.W. Bush? Yes, I know he is very forgettable. Dana Carvey’s impression of George H.W. Bush is more memorable than the man himself. George H.W. Bush broke his word. He raised taxes and the American people exacted their revenge on him for that by voting him out of office.
The Republican Party ran on an anti-Obama platform. They were going to capitalize on the anti-Obama sentiment, stop government spending and repeal Obamacare. When was the last time you even heard a Republican mention Obamacare? There is no serious effort to repeal it. Our only prayer now is the Supreme Court declares it unconstitutional.
This plan is so bad even Mitt Romney recognizes how bad it is and has come out against it.
So what is it with the GOP? A call to my own Congressman Marsha Blackburn’s office got the reply, “She is undecided.” Marsha Blackburn made her bones as a State Senator in Tennessee, standing up to a lunatic Republican governor who tried to force a state income tax down the throats of Tennesseans who did not want it.
Almost single handedly she faced them down. I can only hope she will do the same with John Boehner.
Once upon a time, Boehner promised legislation would be put up on the House website for 72 hours so America could see these bills before they were considered. Obama even promised five days, but both of those promises are long since gone. Boehner now channels Nancy Pelosi, basically telling us we will have to pass the bill to see what is in it.
The Republican Party was born in 1854 and by 1860 had elected its first President. By 2008, the GOP was on its way to joining its predecessor, the Whig Party. The only thing that saved the Republican Party was the Tea Party. The Tea Party breathed new life into the Party and gave John Boehner the Speaker’s chair. He has shown his gratitude by selling us out at every opportunity.
If the GOP passes this compromise debt ceiling bill, it may well be committing suicide. The Tea Party, until now, has not been calling for a third party. For lifelong Republicans, such as myself, the idea of a third party is not a pleasant thought. Put when the GOP so totally sells out the base, how many options are left?
In the next few hours, we will see what happens. Will the GOP self destruct or will enough members of the GOP show some sanity and save the party?
We can only hope that enough members of the Republican Party are there, who still listen to their constituents and who will do the right thing.
And if there are not, the GOP may be going the way of the Whigs. |

The Republican Party, the Party of Lincoln, will soon become irrelevant. The big little secret is, SO WILL THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY! A tyrant has no party. He rules. The death of America is imminent. We can see it dying. The Tea Party is our only hope. It is either them, or Blood in the streets.
Thank God for the Tea Party, it has slowed the destruction of America. Only with We The People (The Tea Party) can our turn-around begin.
NO COMPROMISE. NO SURRENDER. NO INCREASE IN THE DEBT CEILING. STOP THE DEATH OF AMERICA. STOP THE SPENDING OF THE LIVES OF OUR CHILDREN AS CHATTEL MORTGAGE.

How very true! Then it will be the parties of the Politicians - the Republicans and the Democrats, and the party of the People - with whatever name it picks. I, too am a life long Republican and do not want to see yet another split in our country. Maybe we should be looking more at who is a "politician" as a career and who really wants to represent the people he or she works for.

That's funny, I just did the same thing two days ago. Filled out a questionnaire and many times not just answering yes or no as they wanted but giving them the 3rd degree. Then came the donation question and I stated.... You will never get another dime from me because you have no loyalty to the American People." I wonder if I'll get any more surveys. LOL

I've done the same. Told them when they started responding as though they were listening to us, I'd send donations to the Party. Until then my donations go to individual TP candidates. That's 4 of us right here, and I have friends who have done it too.

If the Republican Party is going the way of the Whig Party, could this be leading up to another Civil War. Instead of Slavery, the issue would be reckless Government Spending, Sending our Factories overseas, and too much Big Government sticking it's nose in all kinds of places it doesn't belong. Will the "New World Order" lead to a Civil War in this country? The Government might bankrupt itself and self-destruct first, but even this could lead to anarchy.

The issue IS SLAVERY.
We The People are already slaves to Debt forced upon us by the turncoats we elected so foolishly.
If this Bill passes into Law you and I and each and every other private tax paying American will be enslaved to well over $50,000 in Debt for which we get NOTHING... except more slavery.
Subtract the children, retirees on low private pensions, disabled (SSDI), illegals, Welfare recipients, prison inmates, foreigners with Diplomatic status, successful Tax dodgers, all *Federal employees including the Senate and Congress from the Payer list and watch our individual shares of the Debt burden rise to over $75,000 each.
*All Federal employees are paid with private sector TAXES and the interest on those funds. The entirety of Federal employee wages are comprised of OUR TAX money... just like most of the money being dispensed from the Social Security Admin now.
Our Social Security funds were STOLEN years ago (January 1969, by LBJ). All we have left is a stack of fading IOUs written against the wages of private earners (many of which have not yet been born).
