California: A Constitution free zone


 

 

If you ever wonder why the framers of the Constitution and our founding fathers thought the Bill of Rights was so important to the Constitution, you need to look no further than the liberal politicians in the State of California. 

 

California’s left wing government thinks there is a constitutional right for homosexuals to marry but you cannot have a gun in California.  In California, the authorities try to restrict speech based on the fact that they do not like it.

 

I have read the Constitution.  No matter where you fall on the issue of gay marriage, something can be said with absolute certainty.   The Constitution protects free speech.  The Constitution protects the right to keep and bear arms.  The Constitution is absolutely silent on the issue of gay marriage, not to mention marriage at all.

 

Another nail has been driven into the coffin containing Constitutional rights in California.  California has just enacted a law that bans the open carrying of unloaded handguns and registration of long guns. 

 

California has banned the open carry of loaded handguns, except in a few exceptions and California has made it very difficult to obtain a concealed carry permit.  In fact, one of the requirements to get a concealed carry permit in California is that you must be a brain dead celebrity who rants about the horrifying fact that some people actually own guns. 

 

Our founding fathers knew a couple of things.  First, an armed populace is a great deterrent against tyranny, invasion and bad behavior.   

 

Leftists scream about how dangerous guns are.  They scream that if we allow mere citizens to carry guns, there will be bloodbaths.  If we let mere citizens carry weapons, there will be shootouts in the streets. 

 

However, as with all liberal hysteria, those tirades are long on silly emotional screaming and very short on facts.  A majority of states allow either open carry or as I like to call it, “Constitutional carry” or concealed carry.

 

Not only are the bodies not piling up in these states, these are also the states that have the lowest crime rates.  Criminals may be lazy but are not totally stupid.  They look for the easiest target and certainly do not want to mix it up with someone who is carrying a gun and probably knows how to use it.

 

While the left screams about the myth of how dangerous guns are, they are amazingly silent on something else.   Almost every week, we hear stories about people who legally own and carry firearms.  Not only are they not committing crimes, they are stopping crimes. 

 

Interestingly enough in Chicago and DC, after handgun bans were struck down, crime dropped! 

 

Compare that to what happened in Britain, Ireland and Australia.  When they banned guns, their crime rates went through the roof.  

 

As California works to further ban guns, look for crime to continue to rise in the land of fruits and nuts.  Hopefully, the Supreme Court will eventually reverse that decision and impose some sanity on California.

 

In the meanwhile, Jerry Brown and company are proving the truth of the statement that our country was designed by geniuses and run by morons.

When our U.S. Military was being used to go door-to-door under the auspices of the United Nations, we had people from Australia call into our radio program and they gave us the report from Australia as it was happening.  We heard the knocks on the doors, the protests of the people, and etc.

We warned America that this was our future if we did not speak out and fight for our rights under the Constitution. 

We were called extremist, alarmists, right-wing fanatics ... and those were just the nice names.  Others, as a lady, I will not mention here.

One year after gun-owners were forced to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, including semi-automatic .22 rifles and shotguns, a program costing the government over 500 million dollars, the results are in...

A dramatic increase in criminal activity has been experienced. Gun control advocates respond "Just wait... we'll be safer... you'll see...".

OBSERVABLE FACT, AFTER 12 MONTHS OF DATA:

  • Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2%
  • Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6%
  • Australia-wide, armed-robberies are up 44% (yes, FORTY-FOUR PERCENT)
  • In the state of Victoria, homicides-with-firearms are up 300%
  • Figures over the previous 25 years show a steady decrease in homicides-with-firearms (changed dramatically in the past 12 months)
  • Figures over the previous 25 years show a steady decrease in armed-robbery-with-firearms (changed dramatically in the past 12 months)
  • There has been a dramatic increase in breakins-and-assaults-of- the-elderly
  • At the time of the ban, the Prime Minister said "self-defense is not a reason for owning a firearm"
  • From 1910 to present, homicides in Australia had averaged about 1.8-per-100,000 or lower, a safe society by any standard.
  • The ban has destroyed Australia's standings in some international sport shooting competitions
  • The membership of the Australian Sports Shooting Association has risen to 112,000, a 200% increase, in response to the ban and as an attempt to organize against further controls, which are expected.
  • Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no improvement in "safety" has been observed after such monumental effort and expense was successfully expended in "ridding society of guns". Their response has been to "wait longer".

If you buy into the leftist view of things, then they can also ban kitchen knives because they can kill. No more stilleto heel shoes ladies you might use them to stab someone with. Oh and guys, you will have to give up your cleats, golf clubs, baseball bats as they can be deadly too. See? Going down the leftist road leads to madness, because literally anything around you can be used as a weapon and "could" kill someone.

England is a perfect example of why not to ban guns.  They took away everyones handguns and make it difficult to use other forms of guns, and gun crimes skyrocketed, because only the criminals have guns.  The criminals target people in the countryside, because they are isolated, they know the police cannot get there quick enough, so it gives them more opportunity to rob and attack innocent people.

If the "pelican" had a permit to own/use a hand "gun" then had the courage to use said hand gun perhaps it would still be where it was placed in the park with a couple dead street thugs/trash lying on the ground next to it rather it [ the pelican ] being carried off by some street thugs/trash.

However, if the pelican shot the street thugs/trash then the [ pelican ] probably would have been hauled off to jail.

My guess ... either way the pelican would be gone ... stolen or taken by the police to jail after defending itself..

Go figure ... the pelican, if really real, would prefer to "go-fish."

Imposing sanity on California will be much harder than you make it sound Judson. They are embedded with fruits and nuts and the weather seems to grow them larger than anywhere in the world. Good luck

MORE GUNS, LESS CRIME.  Written by John Lott who is no conservative. He teaches criminal deterrence and law at the Univ. of Chicago.  Essentially a book of FBI crime statistics but we know the problem the left has with facts and the truth.

Truer words were never spoken!  California is the laughing stock of the entire U.S.  As long as we continue to vote for do nothing, brain dead liberals like Governor Moonbeam, the state of California will remain the absolute worst place to build a business, educate children, and raise a family.
