Last night, on Fox News, Sarah Palin supported Newt Gingrich for President!
From Newsmax:
Sarah Palin is urging Florida voters to vote for Newt Gingrich on Tuesday in their state's Republican primary.
"Vote for Newt," Palin told Jeanine Pirro, host of the Fox News weekend program "Justice with Jeanine."
Palin made a passionate plea for Republican voters to reject Mitt Romney in Florida to keep the primary process going forward.
The former Alaska governor made it crystal clear that she favors former House Speaker Gingrich, suggesting that the Republican establishment in New York and Washington is trying anoint former Massachusetts Gov. Romney the GOP nominee.
"And I say, you know, you’ve got to rage against the machine at this point in order to defend our republic and save what is good and secure and prosperous about our nation,” Palin said. “We need somebody who is engaged in sudden and relentless reform and is not afraid to shake up the establishment. So, if for no other reason, rage against the machine, vote for Newt, annoy a liberal, vote Newt, keep this vetting process going, keep the debate going.”
Newt needs a couple of things to come back. He needed some good endorsements. He got Herman Cain and now he has Sarah Palin’s support.
This should be headline news. The news was revealed on Fox News, yet this is not even on their website. Of course, Fox News is in the tank for Romney. If Palin had come out and endorsed Romney, Fox would have had this as headline news. Ditto that for the Drudge Report.
This could be a game changer for Newt, if the word gets out.

Newt/Mitt enter the convention with a thousand cuts.
Ron holds on to his dedicated followers.
Santorum with a number of delegates stands in the shadows and watches.
The first ballot is cast and there is no majority.
The Republican establishment offers us an alternative.
The delegates led by the Tea Party give the establishment a collective finger and turn to the one conservative candidate that has worked for the nomination.
Rick Santorum , growing in confidence, walks out on the convention stage and
THE CROWD GOES WILD!

Sheehan on January 29, 2012 at 7:58am My take on that FOX interview was that Sarah was pushing Newt primarily to keep the media attention focused on the Republican message of constitutional republicanism and free market economy. It's a long way from here to Nov. There'll be nothing but dead air between now and then if voters perceive the process to have ended in FL. We need to keep the fires stoked.

Permalink Reply by George Reed on January 29, 2012 at 7:58am I saw Palin's discussion on Pirro's program last night. I think that she spoke favorably of Newt and supported the continuation of the nomination contest, but I don't think that she actually endorsed him.

Permalink Reply by George Reed on January 29, 2012 at 8:11am Pirro pushed Sarah to say that she was endorsing Newt, and I believe that Sarah did not go that far. It would have been simple for her to say 'yes', but I don't think that she did. I agree with the comment by Thomas W. Sheehan at the 6 minute time.
Permalink Reply by Dr. Jerry Anderson on January 29, 2012 at 8:34am Yes. A rather cloaked endorsement, but a de facto endorsement nonetheless. Looks like Sarah is drawing it out over a period of time to increase the suspense, the drama and therefore news media attention. Thought she handled Pirro well, who DID seem in the tank for Romney. But I found Pirro a bit offensive on a different issue: I guess I'm a 'lunatic' , too, because I like the idea of a strategic, science and economy boosting Moon Base Race a heckuva lot more than an ungrateful, hateful never-ending Welfare State.
You're right...Judson's wrong!
Permalink Reply by Katie Kalpin on January 29, 2012 at 8:00am Dang first Cain yesterday and now Palin? Sheech. He is getting endorsed by a lot of Tea Party people gee I wonder why. Newt is the man, but it seems that some people can't get past some things and see Newt for who he really is and instead, they vote Romney! Scary, have they learned nothing the last 4 years? ;) lol

I agree that people need to get past the imperfect.
As conservatives, many - if not most, hold strong religious convictions. As a result we pray and seek guidance, as well as study the Word.
Noteworthy about many of our teachings is that God used some of the most unlikely, seemingly filthy people in some instances, to deliver a very important word to His people. The woman at the well comes to mind. He delivered people out of captivity and bondage using someone who- see if this sounds familiar - was not "deemed to be his turn."
Perhaps our prayers are being answered in ways we don't expect and the message to His people will be delivered in a vessel that may be inconsistent with our ways...but not Gods. If I were praying for anything other than God's will...I'd say, "How about Newt, God?"
I enjoy your comments and spirit!
