Last night, on Fox News, Sarah Palin supported Newt Gingrich for President!
Sarah Palin is urging Florida voters to vote for Newt Gingrich on Tuesday in their state's Republican primary.
"Vote for Newt," Palin told Jeanine Pirro, host of the Fox News weekend program "Justice with Jeanine."
Palin made a passionate plea for Republican voters to reject Mitt Romney in Florida to keep the primary process going forward.
The former Alaska governor made it crystal clear that she favors former House Speaker Gingrich, suggesting that the Republican establishment in New York and Washington is trying anoint former Massachusetts Gov. Romney the GOP nominee.
"And I say, you know, you’ve got to rage against the machine at this point in order to defend our republic and save what is good and secure and prosperous about our nation,” Palin said. “We need somebody who is engaged in sudden and relentless reform and is not afraid to shake up the establishment. So, if for no other reason, rage against the machine, vote for Newt, annoy a liberal, vote Newt, keep this vetting process going, keep the debate going.”
Newt needs a couple of things to come back. He needed some good endorsements. He got Herman Cain and now he has Sarah Palin’s support.
This should be headline news. The news was revealed on Fox News, yet this is not even on their website. Of course, Fox News is in the tank for Romney. If Palin had come out and endorsed Romney, Fox would have had this as headline news. Ditto that for the Drudge Report.
This could be a game changer for Newt, if the word gets out.
Can anything be done.
Otherwise, Newt has to be elected to bring West in as Defense Secretary.
Judson: Wrong. I am well aware of how West's district is changing. His district was vast-majority Democrat before (I used to live in it), and it is going be vast-majority Democrat once again. So....what is the problem? West has already proven that he can run as a strong conservative and a near-unknown against a multi-term radical Leftie Dem incumbent in a majority-Dem district, and not only win, but win big: double-digit big. The only difference this time around is that West is well-known and well-loved in South Florida. He will win again in 2012.
So, in a nutshell, Romney's spokesman gerrymanders West's district into a Democratic controlled area.
For not endorsing Romney. No wonder Allen West introduced Herman Cain for his endorsement of Newt! Read
Quite a few other links. I just grabbed one out of the pile.
Santorum supporters: we really must not let Romney win, right?
Vern, it's quite obvious that the GOP is determined to destroy conservatism and go back to the status quo of 1973, where the good ole' boys, once aain, reap the benefits from the left. It's OK with them to have Obama as dictator-in-chief.
People will never learn or easily forget.
Rubio favors MIttens. It's pay back. Mittens endorsed Rubio for the senate.
I am confident West will endorse Newt after the primary. He's having his own problem. His district maybe merging or redistricting. I'm sure he wants to save his job first. According to my friend in FL. that's the rumor about West. You have to respect that. But by the next primary, he probably will. that would help him in any case.
Jeb will never endorse Newt, more likely it will be Romney. There is a long standing friendship between the Bush and Romney family and disdain for Gingrich. George Romney was very close frineds with George 41. The divide is between Bush/Rove vs.Gingrich. That's why Fox is favoring the former.
You're right about the "divide" Agi -Jo hivast!\
It's the establishment GOP's that are redistricting Allen West. They want no part of him. Shame.
Same w. Michelle Bachmann. We're told how crucial this election is but those endorsements that count will not step forward.
BTW: I thought Rubio supported Romney. Also, can Jeb really go against Daddy by supporting Newt?
No way!! It's all about family honor. And why did Jeb and papa meet in private with Obama this week? Timing is odd.
Jeb's endorsement will go to Romney.
Mike somewhere I read that Rubio has stated Romney is a true conservative because he backed him instead of Crist (spelling?)
Of course they are!!
Do you have a link to that? First I've heard....
