Last night, on Fox News, Sarah Palin supported Newt Gingrich for President!
Sarah Palin is urging Florida voters to vote for Newt Gingrich on Tuesday in their state's Republican primary.
"Vote for Newt," Palin told Jeanine Pirro, host of the Fox News weekend program "Justice with Jeanine."
Palin made a passionate plea for Republican voters to reject Mitt Romney in Florida to keep the primary process going forward.
The former Alaska governor made it crystal clear that she favors former House Speaker Gingrich, suggesting that the Republican establishment in New York and Washington is trying anoint former Massachusetts Gov. Romney the GOP nominee.
"And I say, you know, you’ve got to rage against the machine at this point in order to defend our republic and save what is good and secure and prosperous about our nation,” Palin said. “We need somebody who is engaged in sudden and relentless reform and is not afraid to shake up the establishment. So, if for no other reason, rage against the machine, vote for Newt, annoy a liberal, vote Newt, keep this vetting process going, keep the debate going.”
Newt needs a couple of things to come back. He needed some good endorsements. He got Herman Cain and now he has Sarah Palin’s support.
This should be headline news. The news was revealed on Fox News, yet this is not even on their website. Of course, Fox News is in the tank for Romney. If Palin had come out and endorsed Romney, Fox would have had this as headline news. Ditto that for the Drudge Report.
This could be a game changer for Newt, if the word gets out.
Brad, You may be right but I don't remember hearing Newt advocate this. Could we benefit from an expansion in one department IF there is a substantial decrease in other departments? I would hope such would be the overall plan.
Newt needs to quit talking about Romney and instead sell his program to return American exceptionalism.. I have heard enough Bain Capital and Cayman Island crapola. Romney paid 3 million in taxes. 47% paid nothing. He paid more than his share.
Newt, tell us the plan in a paragraph or two. Keep it simple. It is a simple story. Taxes, regulations, liberty, free enterprise, local schools and free market health care.
It's not really Newts fault..they push him to do that. :)
Another AMEN Joe!!!!!!!!!!
Duh, Romney is a Democrat in mind, body and soul. So why should anyone be surprised he is getting a free pass.
Judson, I liked your characterization of Republican Elites yesterday, describing them as a lot like Democrats but 'higher class' (at least in their minds!). Why should we expect more from the party elites that gave us candidates of such sterling quality as Dole and McCain? Incidentally, we could probably irritate quite a few liberals by making some phone calls for Newt in Florida. His website, newt.org will prompt people through the process. Kind of fun for a change, actually making instead of taking such calls!
Yes, details are there. It's user friendly; just click the "MAKE THE CALL" tab in a couple of places on newt.org and the system will direct callers thru the process. Be courteous AND beware: Liberals, Republican or Democrat, may be irritable regarding calls for Newt!
Last night I was playing games on the computer, yes games, I needed a break. But guess what, every time I went to a different game, there was Mitt Romney's face. Can't get away from these people. If the candidates, especially Romney would send some of this money to charity or lower the deficit it would do them a lot better.
That's right Joe...100% right. Romney is doing nothing but going after Newt. This is because Newt is kicking Romney's BUTT. If it were up to Newt there never would be a single WORD that is negitive about any Republican Canidate...EVER. Notice that he uses the words We and us...IN EVERY SINGLE DEBATE...ALL OF THEM!! WE AND US...YOU ELECT US....WE WILL. Us and We, Newt uses unity, Romney...ATTAAAAAACK!
