If you have read my previous columns on the subject of Boehner and the spineless GOP, all I have to say here is ditto and we are done.

It is time for the Tea Party to act.  We have said this before and we need to make them listen.  All of the members of congress are up for election in eighteen months.   We need to remind the 84 republican freshmen how they got there and for the other members of congress, we need to remind them, they are not a shoe in for reelection.   We have a primary election process and we the people are not happy.

I am calling my Congressman today.  I have known her since before she was elected to Congress and well before the Tea Party movement got started.  I am going to have one simple message for her.   If you support this bill that only cuts $33 billion from the budget, I am going to support someone in a primary against you.

As for Boehner, there is no compromise.

The people of America elected Republicans to cut the budget.  The message was overwhelmingly clear.  Obama, Pelosi and Reid are driving America off of a fiscal cliff.  The American people wanted the Republicans to put the brakes on.  All John Boehner is doing is watching the scenery go by and lighting another cigarette.

Boehner must go.   The Tea Party must unite and make sure Boehner is replaced in the next election.  Boehner is living proof of something I have said for a long time.  It is not enough that we vote out bad leaders, we must replace them with good leaders. Getting Nancy Pelosi out of the Speaker’s seat was a good thing.  Unfortunately, her replacement has not been very good.  We need people in leadership who are committed to cutting spending and eliminating these programs.

That is not John Boehner.  Apparently, he’s just another Washington good old boy, who, after 20 years in DC, has lost touch with America.

Our ultimate strategy here needs to be to make sure the debt ceiling is not raised.  If we can win on this one, Congress will be forced to make changes.   This is a message that, unfortunately, few leaders in the Tea Party have been carrying.  We have been talking about it here at Tea Party Nation for quite a while; probably to the point some people are tired of hearing about it.   Our friend, Joseph Farah over at World Net Daily has been really pushing this issue.  According to Farah, all we need are 218 Republicans in the House to say no and the debt ceiling does not get raised.  There have been a number of defections from Boehner on the budget process to date.  All we need is 218 members of congress to say no and we will have a balanced budget.  It will have to happen since Congress will not be able to borrow more money.

In the last few days, we have seen the messaging from the left.  The Tea Party is fading.  The Tea Party’s negative ratings are rising.  The Tea Party is “extreme.”  The Tea Party is an obstacle in the path of compromise.

Perhaps I should paraphrase Barry Goldwater.

Extremism in defense of our country and stopping those who will bankrupt her is no vice and compromise with those who would spend us into poverty is no virtue.

I wonder if the government will agree that the American people need more arms to defend themselves from this tyrannical government,

As they do the Libyan people????

Well what WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING, was marching outside of Congress and letting Mr. Boehner know that we meant business. I know we all can't afford just to fly to Washington DC but I know their are Tea Party members in the Washington DC area that could have marched and we could have gotten a ton of signatures together with a nice note and had it personally delivered to Mr. Boehner. Just a suggestion.  It seems everyone is big about us signing petitions and asking for money to fax them why for once can't we have a central office in Washington DC, meaning a devoted Tea Party member in a home or office with fax machines and receiving emails. I know it may be a big venture to think about that kind of organization but it sure would go along way to help get the message out. I would even donate a few fax machines and printers if we could all get together and get this going. If I lived in Washington DC I would even volunteer to do it. maybe we do have this I don't know but I don't see anyone or hearing about anyone doing this.  I am at he point were I am not going to put anymore faith in the republicains I think it's about time WE ALL!!, start considering a third party. The Tea Party is big enough and I do believe we are powerful enough to get a third party going and I know without a doubt we will have the republicains and the democrates running scared then. Because until the two parties really know that they can be replaced and not with another party member they can manipulate or pay off but with a party they won't be able to do either to. Thats when we are going to really start to see the changes in Washington and start to get our country back. God Bless.
OMG....resend   all   letters...only  stronger...
I still can not get Boehner's e-mail address, anyone have it?
Try speakerboehner@mail.house.gov
All the contact information you need for any member of congress can be found at www.opencongress.com . You will also be able to track all of their voting history. You can see what the latest bills are and how your elected officials are voting. Through this site you will be able to follow their career much like how people follow sports with the player and team stats. Tea Party Nation should partner up with OpenCongress.com . This would make congress more visible as far as what they actually do versus their rhetoric. When people begin to see that the liberals are using propaganda tactics on the mainstream media platform as a means to control public sentiment, in direct contrast to the actual facts, the Tea Party will become America's new party overnight. The liberals only have 3 weapons: S.I.N. . Let me break that down: 1.) Shift the subject 2.) Ignore the facts 3.) Name Calling . If we can corner them publicly and expose their tactics and call them on it, then the jig is up... For instance, when Harry Reid called the members of the Tea Party extreme, he would not acknowledge the Tea Party's arguement to give any rebuttal to justify calling the Tea Party extreme. This is an example of him Ignoring the facts and Name calling. Rather than debating openly and publicly they hide behind the liberal media making sure they use the words
They make sure they use the words "extreme" and "radical" to discredit anybody who speaks against their desire for government spending. These marketing tactics is an insult to intelligence of american people. They think they have the people figured out to where all they have to do is say the words "extreme" and "radical" and people will follow them without considering the facts.
Thank you for that!!

Clarice,

TY for the email address. Here's another contact:

I just sent the following letter, and passed it on to all my friends to do the same. Feel free to edit and paste as you wish.

Mr. Boehner,

As a conservative Republican, an American, a USAF veteran, I believe that you are not doing the job of protecting our country from the obvious dangers that we will face if you do not make a strong stance to cut the federal governments massive spending. I have recently been informed that you are backing down to the Democrats wishes to keep government spending at it highest levels ever in history.

Do you realize that federal government spending, under Obama’s presidency, is over 3 Trillion dollars every year? (3.4 Trillion in 2010) And at this rate it adds 1.3 Trillion to our deficit. All we are asking from you is to make 100 Billion in cuts to this years spending. 100 Billion...that is less than 3/100ths of the total budget!! It’s not even a spit in the bucket!! We need to cut 1.3T!! And you show us, the hard-working American people that make sacrifices on a daily basis, that you don’t have the spine to stand up for a budget cut that is less than 3/100ths off the fed. Gov. budget?

Every spare dollar I have, every nickel and dime, will go to whomever will run against you in the primaries, if you cannot stand up for the working tax payers that are sick and tired of this government spending away our children’s future prosperity.

Good day sir,

I haven't calmed down enough from lastnight-when I received an e-mail on this very issue from my congressman with an R by his name. Needless to say,I whammed an e-mail right back saying this very thing Judson. If anyone has a dollar send it to the Tea Party, support Michele Bachmann,Jim Demint, and the incoming freshman. I told my congressman, this is not acceptable, you have the power of the purse-use it. This was pathetic to say the least.
If there is anyone in the Tea Party who is OK with raising the debt limit, please speak up.  I doubt that more than 1% of us are in favor of raising it.  Given that somewhere around 40% of Americans agree with the Tea Party, it is ludicrous to call our viewpoint "extreme."  On the contrary, the leftist idea that we should allow the government to rush us headlong into a very deep financial crisis is unquestionably extreme.  Holding the debt limit is mild.  The middle-of the road approach is to return to the 2008 budget.  An extreme, but very welcome, approach would be to shut down the federal government altogether, except for the military and to devolve the other departments to the states.
