Today, Obama is supposed announce the so-called “Buffett Rule.” The Buffett Rule is not named after Jimmy Buffett. The rule would make more sense if the White House economic staffers have had large numbers of Margaritas first. It would probably make even more sense if the Obama regime were drunk when they came up with this idiotic idea.
The Buffett Rule is named after Warren Buffett who complained he was paying less in taxes than the middle class. Perhaps someone needs to get Warren Buffett some Margaritas, ASAP.
What is wrong with this idea?
First, Warren Buffett could pay much more in taxes if he wanted to. As with all liberal talking points and liberal examples, they can be filed under the heading of “Bovine Scatology.”
This is class warfare and if you look at the track record for class warfare, particularly “soak the rich” economics, it never works.
The left always hits hard with their favorite talking points. It is only fair that the rich pay their fair share. The rich are better off so they owe American more. Some of those talking points resonate with segments of America.
How do we answer the idiotic claim that the rich need to pay “their fair share?”
One word: Solyndra.
Two things almost every taxpayer hates are fraud and waste. Those are replete in the Obama regime. In February, the Government Accounting Office announced it had found hundred of billions of dollars in fraud, waste and duplication in the Government.
Hundreds of billions.
Obama has done nothing to stop this, nor have the Republicans.
And then there is Solyndra.
Solyndra received almost half a billion dollars in government backed loans. Solyndra has declared bankruptcy and shut down, the government will now be on the hook for those loans. In this case, the Obama regime did something almost unprecedented. It subordinated the government’s interest to the interest of a private investor. In most cases, when there is a business failure and there is a government-backed loan, the government gets paid first. Not this time.
The Obama regime agreed that George Kaiser, an Oklahoma billionaire and Obama contributor and bundler, would have priority over the government in recouping his investment from Solyndra.
While the Obama regime hates big oil, an industry that actually creates jobs and does something (fuel our economy), it pushes green boondoggles like Solyndra. Solyndra now has zero employees for half a billion dollars in government loans. That is math only a liberal would love.
The Obama regime is bragging about the loan programs the Department of Energy is behind. What they do not tell you is that on average every job those loan guarantees create or “save,” actually costs $600,000. It is another way of saying the government is destroying the economy. The private sector creates jobs at a much cheaper rate. They do it even better when a corrupt clown like Barack Obama is not trying to take all their profits.
As long as our tax dollars are being used to bailout Obama contributors and being wasted at an amazing rate, no American owes one more dime to the government. The next time you hear a liberal talk about the rich paying their fair share of taxes, ask them where that money is going. Is it going to the next Solyndra? Is it going to the pockets of an Obama bundler? Is it simply being wasted?
No one, no matter how rich they are, should be asked to pay more in taxes while wasteful spending like the Solyndra loan is going on.

The White House is scrambling to cover it up. One USAF general has stood up against pressure to perjure himself. That iceberg is barely seen at the surface. More is to come.

Permalink Reply by Lois K. Knoffer on September 19, 2011 at 8:10am Judson, when railing about Buffet it's important that the Fool Buffet is comparing his tax rate for capital gains as
compared to the initial tax rate of fed tax for employees! These are 2 different rates! All the freefor loafers hear
is that he pays less than his secretary. This is all lies. Buffet doesn't take a salary - he claims retirement. He's
just part of the Lib mantra! Why does NOT TPN and bloggers rise up and call their lies? ? ?
WHY are we NOT demanding to know all the double handouts/spending the Gov't Accounting Office has found?
WHY are we sending billions to the Middle East - Palestine, that isn't even a country, Libya, the Saudis, and
all the rest of those that HATE US? ? ?
Yes, all this anger/frustration is bubbling up in all conservatives. When one has cancer, cut it out, kill it with
chemo/radiology. We surely need to get rid of this extensive metastasis! ! !

Obama's handlers and puppeteers as a collective bunch covet the natural bounty and the economic prosperity of America but detest Americans. They are as helplessly and hopelessly mind blind as Obama is but even so, they are very dangerous to real people trying to live a real life in the real United States of America.
Warren Buffet the investor may have been mythologized into being a folksy "hero" to many wannabe kleptoparasitic Wall Street financialists, but, in fact, the real Warren Buffet is proving to be just one very small step improvement above George Soros. If even that.
Both Buffet and Soros are predatory old men who have acquired and accrued a significant part of the wealth that has been produced by the talents, time and energy of the truly productive.

Permalink Reply by Lizzie on September 19, 2011 at 8:21am OK, as for "wanting to pay more tax," the U.S. government does many important things but, viewed as a charity, it is crap.
Think of what we look for when we consider donating to a charity: How effective are the programs? How efficiently is the money used? What percentage of my donation goes to administrative costs?
The "wealthy" people who are supporting huge tax increases must have taken a tip from George Soros and just decided they can make more money off of instability, because there's clearly no future in unchecked spending.
