If someone told you almost every move you were making was being watched and observed, you’d either think they were crazy or get outraged at the Obama Regime.
Almost every move you make is being watched. The people telling you this are not crazy and the Obama Regime has nothing to do with it.
Are you alarmed yet? You should be.
Is there a greater threat to privacy than government spying on its citizens?
Yes, there is.
Your privacy, just in case you were not aware of it, is a joke. It no longer exists. But it is not the government that is destroying your privacy it is big business.
Big business is literally following almost every move you make.
In February, Forbes.Com related the story of an irate father who stormed up to his local Target, incensed that his daughter was receiving coupons from Target for pregnancy related products.
The father was at first furious only to discover that his daughter was in fact pregnant.
How did Target know? It is through a process called data mining. Do you know why Target and other retailers are so anxious to give you loyalty cards and to get you to sign up for “their” credit card?
It is simple. There is a vast amount of information that can be directly gleaned from your purchases and then can be extrapolated to the rest of your life.
In the case of Target, they figured out that if someone bought a certain combination of products, there was an 87% chance a woman was pregnant.
Do you have a Gmail account? Why does Google provide all of the goodies that it does to you for free? The answer is, it looks for information in your emails, then keys certain ads to appear.
Websites leave cookies in your computer, that will tell them not only that you have been on that website but others you have visited. Cell phones, based on your activities can trace your activities. Credit card companies, based on your purchases can also create very detailed profiles about you as well.
Now, the next thing is going to be billboards with face reading technology that can identify you by your face and then put an ad up on a billboard targeted to your specific interests.
Now that you know all of this, how much of your personal life would you like in the public domain?
The technology involved in this is amazing and frightening at the same time. Companies now know more about you than your family does and possibly even you realize about yourself.
The scary part about that is because of this new technology, the idea of privacy is dead.
If you think you have privacy today, you are sadly mistaken.
What about the Constitution? That is a good question. After all, isn’t there a Constitutional right to privacy?
Absolutely and the Constitution does not apply.
The Constitution reins in the power of government and stops government abuses. This is not the government. These are corporations. While there are some laws that apply, the constitutional protections that stop government from invading our privacy do not exist for corporations.
We are looking at a future without privacy.
The real danger here is those who will use the data gathered by corporations to attack private citizens who are willing to stand up for their beliefs. Does anyone really believe that this data is safe and secure.
Anyone remember Joe the plumber? When he had his famous moment with Barack Obama in 2008, almost immediately state records about Joe’s private matters were released. How long will it be before a conservative has data about his private life leaked from one or more corporations, just to embarrass them?
Big Brother is watching us. Big brother isn’t Uncle Sam either. But rest assured, unless we start figuring out ways to protect our privacy, what little we have left will be gone.

Since then, I have not had to delete that many junk emails. I think it really IS the most private search engine in the world.
Also, I believe if you use it's sister page: Startingpage.com you get the benefit of google searches without Google ever knowing you were in there.
If nothing else, you can add it to your search engines and keep switching back to it, when all those others invade you.

In 1925 the Blackshirts marched on Rome and by their sheer numbers took over government without firing a single shot. Under Mussolini's Blackshirts a system that he himself described as "corporatism" was put into place. It was renamed Facism but it was one and the same system. Everything for the state was the supreme law.
Under Facism, Italys government and industry came together to create a totalitarian ultra nationalist system. If we examine what happened there was a complete loss of freedom and personal liberty. The state kept its eye on everything and governed unopposed. Anything against the state was not tolerated but the state was also big business. There were immediate benefits with full employment but it all ended with disasterous results. Today the USA is following Benito Mussilini's facist plan . We even start wars for big business like Mussolini did. The only difference is that todays Facism no longer needs the American worker so in this one regard Mussolini's plan was better.

Every adult who is conscience has been told and told and has had ample proof that we are being tracked and watched and have been for a very long time! When the first scanners went into groceries stores, your every purchase was recorded and you were targeted for marketing. Order something from a catalog or over the phone - wham!. Here comes the junk mail affiliated with the products!. Gee! How did they know? Big business has been spying on us long before the government jumped in.
Thank George W and the Patriot Act for the fact that every keystroke you make can now by examined without benefit of a warrant if it crosses states lines. ( What doesn't?). And our beloved SCOTUS has upheld this!
Two decades ago I could tune my radio to a certain frequency and listen to my neighbor on his hand held phone.Obama let Kathleen changed the HIPAA laws so that just about anyone can get access to your insurance records, banks records, and complete financial records with the flimsiest of reasons! He then ordered that doctors digitize ALL medical records including their notes! When Obamacare goes into effect they will be required to turn them into a central "bank."
And in April a man in ND was arrested with evidence collected from a drone.
Anyone NOT aware that Bill Gates thinks Obama is great? The government helped build part of his last office! So who is NOT watching and reporting to the government?
ANYONE WANT TO BET THAT SNAIL MAIL IS NOT BEING READ AND THAT THE STRANGE CAR THAT KEEPS APPEARING IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD ISN'T PARKED SOMEWHERE LISTENING TO YOU IN YOUR HOME?

Yet, Hawaii filed their own, different from Pelosi.
Now that is a full blown conspiracy.

Permalink Reply by Ed Stoneham on Privacy is gone. But why care? If you aren't doing anything wrong, then what is wrong with people knowing about it?
Where the line needs to be drawn is this: if anyone uses the information they gather to harm you, you need to have recourse to make them pay. With private-sector firms that recourse exists. With the government, it doesn't. Only the Constitution can keep the government from misusing private information. Until we learn to enforce the Constitution, the government will continue to be our worst enemy.
I suggest joining the COP (http://www.constitutionaloversightposse.org/index.html). There's no cost, but it is the only activity going right now that has any chance of forcing the government to obey the Constitution.

When a government links arms with big businesses against We The People, that is usually called Fascism... a terrible form or tyranny.
Permalink Reply by Ed Stoneham on Unfortunately, most people in the U. S. view the links between government and big business as crony capitalism, something mildly disturbing and relatively benign. It is, however, just as serious as full-blown fascism. All the regulations that pour out of the crony socialist agenda have as their hidden purpose to keep new and smaller businesses from competing. It is occurring at the local and state levels as well as the federal level. It basically keeps young people from advancing. It keeps people from starting their own businesses and being competitive. In other words, it squelches upward mobility--the one thing that makes for economic growth and prevents civil war.
The COP attacks this cancer on the federal level. If successful, the same approach can be applied at the state and local levels. Failing this, the only alternative will be to start a new country.

TRUE STORY: A number of years ago I suffered a series of mini-strokes. This led to co-ordination problems and memory problems.My family physician sent to a specialist, a licensed MD for help. The first appointment was a long interview and a few tests. One week later, DHS showed up at my home and demanded to be let in. I "had been reported." The name of the "informer" was confidential. I refused to let them. They called the county sheriff He demanded that I let them in. I asked for a warrant. He said he was coming in based on exigent circumstances! When I asked what possible circumstances, his reply was that for all he knew, I was being held hostage! At that point a friend I had called arrived just in time to see the sheriff kick my door open and barge in!
The friend rushed up to ask what was going on. He was forced into my house. His driver's license and mine were taken and held from us. I ask what DHS was looking for. They replied 1. Out of date medicine. 2. Spoiled food
3. Animal feces! I knew then it had been the specialist who reported me. .
1. The doctor asked me about my meds and I had told her I was no longer sure what the rule was about disposing them. I used to flush them but had read that you were not to do that. She told me to throw them out in the trash. (I did as soon as I got home.)
2. She asked how I was eating and I told her a neighbor was taking me to the store and often brought me meals. (I had been advised not to drive until they were sure the "mini-stokes ie. TIA's were under control.
3 She asked if I live alone. Yes, I do but had a dog for company and good neighbors and friends.
After a complete search of the house the sheriff said I had broken the law because the door to my Circuit breaker box was open and only a licensed electrician was allowed to open it. I wisely kept my shut on the stupid remark!.
DHS found NOTHING on the list that they were looking for!
But it brought DHS back every week for over a month. It was always something! I had left my make-up out! I had not filed my paper work in on my computer desk. The lawn needed mowing. The dishwasher needed unloading!
By this time I had made repeated calls to the MD who kept calling my daughter who lives out of town and tried to get my daughter to commit me! She never returned calls to me. I got a copy of me medical records from her and had marked all the false and invalid statements in them.
When ONE INSTEAD OF TWO DHS men showed and offered "to help me for a fee" I informed him that I would be reporting him and his boss along with my doctor if I ever heard from them again! I never did! The next month the DHS made local headlines for corruption! Gee, big surprise! I never did hear from DHS after my threat.
So just keep thinking that being an honest citizen will make things OK.!

We all need to be booby traps for these abusers. Lure them in, and then prosecute the dickens out of them! It is unfortunate in your case that you were not in a position of strength to fight them back.
Permalink Reply by Mollie Baxter on Thanks! At the time I was too unsure of my memory and I didn't have the money and I knew it would be my word against the doctor's, so..... I filed a report against her. It shows on her record but few have access to that. And I wouldn't know how to fight the sheriff's department even now. I am fine but worry if someone decides that "exigent circumstances" exist again!
