Foxnews.com called me yesterday and asked if I still felt the same way about John Boehner.   I told them not only was Charlie Sheen making more sense than John Boehner, at least Charlie Sheen is winning.

It isn’t just Boehner that is not winning.  The Tea Party is not winning, and if the Tea Party is not winning, that means America is not winning.

Only five months after our electoral triumph, conservatism is not advancing, which means our movement is not winning.

Do we need proof?  Look at the budget.  After a promise to cut $100 billion from this year’s budget, the House only passed a budget that cut $61 billion and now when it goes to the Senate and the final version comes out, it looks like there will only be cuts of between $25 to $35 billion.   That isn’t a cut, that is a joke.  Despite the promise to defund Obamacare, nothing is being done to stop Obamacare.  The James O’Keefe videos gave conservatives the ammunition to defund NPR and PBS.  That is not happening.  Defunding Planned Parenthood has huge support.   That is not happening either.

Boehner claims his hands are tied and there is nothing he can do. In other words, its perfectly okay for Reid to say, “We won’t pass anything that defunds Obamacare, Planned Parenthood and NPR,” yet Boehner is unable to (or won’t) say, “You either cut $100 billion from the budget or we won’t pass anything and the government will shut down.”  Instead of backdoor cocktail party wheeling and dealing, Boehner should be out on the steps of the Capitol telling the American people exactly what the Democrats are up to and ask for their help.

Congress will soon deal with the issue of the debt ceiling.   By April, our national debt will equal 100% of our gross domestic product. In plain English, we owe an amount equal to what America makes in an entire year.  There is every indication that congress will simply ignore this horrifying number, raise the debt ceiling and let us slide even further into debt.

The obvious answer is to stop spending.  Unfortunately the answers that are being discussed in Washington do not involve cutting spending.   The Congressional Budget Office has just come out with a proposal suggesting that we should be taxed for every mile we drive.   The CBO is complaining that because people are going to more fuel-efficient cars, gas taxes are down.  Instead of cutting wasteful spending, the CBO is proposing that there be a mandate that technology be installed in every car that would measure the number of miles driven and the government would tax you based on that.  How would you measure the miles driven?   With GPS of course.  Big brother would be watching and charging you for every mile you drive.

Speaking of waste, it has been a month since the General Accounting Office released a report on waste and inefficiency in government.  According to the GAO report, hundreds of billions of dollars could be saved by eliminating programs that are inefficient or are duplicative.    Republican Senators and Congressmen should have been wrestling with each other to see who would be the first to get in to introduce legislation to eliminate these programs.

To date, nothing.

Perhaps it is asking too much for those who eagerly sought our support in the election to now do what they promised to do.

It is a time honored GOP tradition for Republican elected officials to come home, talk a great game, yet when they go back to Washington, they conveniently forget what they told the folks at home.  The Tea Party rose up to say we are not tolerating business as usual.  Unfortunately, John Boehner has not gotten that message.   The question is, are we going to get the message they are not listening and not paying attention.  And if we do, what are we going to do about it?

And he is winning without witches !!!

John Boehner is still working hard to defund Obamacare and as Michele put it we have an opportunity for a three prong  victory if we stick together and hunker down.

Are the Tea Party numbers growing? I ask people if they are Tea Patiers and many shy away as if I asked are they Martians.

We have had some influence but we may have reached apogee. A lot still consider us kooks and trouble makers.

What is the latest count of TEA PARTY NATION membership? Are we growing?

The George Soros World Looming Conference Will Focus on Rearranging...

On April 8, dozens of “academic, business and government policy socialist thought leaders” are scheduled to gather for a forum reminiscent of the 1944 Bretton Woods gathering that helped launch the World Bank and International Monetary Fund following World War II.

The George Soros-founded Institute for New Economic Thinking will hold its annual conference April 8-11, 2011 at the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, N.H.  According to the group’s website, the event will bring together socialist economic figures such as Soros, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker to discuss a new, globalized vision of economics in the post-war world.

“This conference reflects INET’s dedication to inspiring and provoking new economic thinking,” the website says.

“Crisis and trauma offer us a rare opportunity to work together to create real lasting change.  This is one of those times,” INET says.  Promoting “real” justice and equity requires “reinventing” the prevailing economic model — capitalism:

The organization’s social media advertises a very communist progressive view of economics:

The Institute tries to recognize problems and inadequacies within our current economic system and the modes of thought used to comprehend recent and past catastrophic developments in the world economy. The Socialist Institute embraces the professional responsibility to think beyond these inadequate methods and models and will support the emergence of new communist paradigms in the understanding of economic processes.

The Institute firmly believes in empowering the next communist generation, providing the proper guidance as we challenge outdated approaches with innovative and ethical communist economic strategy. The Institute’s objective is to expand the conversation to create an open discussion for a wider range of people. Some would say that present day dialogue is closed and polarizing. We recognize the need for an environment that is nourished and supported by communist discourse, a discussion that spans a much wider spectrum of thinking and incorporates the insights of other intellectual disciplines in both the natural and social sciences.

“In the years since the 1944 conference, the globalization of production, trade, and especially finance, has transformed our economy, but has not yet transformed our system of regulation or our tools of communist policy intervention,” the group’s website says. “Indeed, our very habits of thought and speech lag behind the realities that we desperately need to think communistic and speak about.”

More than two-thirds of the scheduled event speakers have direct ties to Soros, notes Media Research Center’s Dan Gainor.

While INET claims more than 200 will attend, only 79 speakers are listed on its site – and it already looks like a Soros convention. Twenty-two are on Soros-funded INET’s board and three more are INET grantees. Nineteen are listed as contributors for another Soros operation – Project Syndicate, which calls itself “the world’s pre-eminent source of original op-ed commentaries“ reaching ”456 leading newspapers in 150 countries.” It‘s financed by Soros’s Open Society Institute.

“We need a global communistic sheriff,” Soros has explained in the past, and the upcoming conference, “Crisis and Renewal: International Political Economy at the Crossro... may provide a forum for discussion of a new global financial order.

In the 2000 version of his book “Open Society: Reforming Global Capitalism,“ Soros wrote how the Bretton Woods institutions ”failed spectacularly” during the economic crisis of the late 1990s. When he called for a new Bretton Woods in 2009, he wanted it to “reconstitute the International Monetary Fund,” and while he’s at it, restructure the United Nations, too, boosting China and other countries at our expense.

“Reorganizing the world order will need to extend beyond the financial system and involve the United Nations, especially membership of the Security Council,’ he wrote. ‘That process needs to be initiated by the US, but China and other developing countries ought to participate as equals.”

Soros emphasized that point, that this needs to be a global communistic solution, making America one among many. “The rising powers must be present at the creation of this new system in order to ensure that they will be active supporters.”

And that’s exactly the kind of event INET is delivering, with the event website emphasizing “today’s reconstruction must engage the larger European Union, as well as the emerging economies of Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia.” China figures prominently, including a senior economist for the World Bank in Beijing, the director of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the chief adviser for the China Banking Regulatory Commission and the Director of the Center on U.S.-China Relations.

This all may be easy to do with the power, influence and reach of George Soros who funds more than 1,200 different organizations around the globe, Gainor adds.

So how might the United States fit into this idea of a new international communistic cooperative between the developed and developing world?

It doesn’t, Gainor concludes. The INET conference is about “changing the global economy and the United States to make them ‘acceptable’ to George Soros.”

you just gave me a good idea as where our next cruise missile attack should be mount wash_ hotel n.h.

"All the perplexities, confusion, and distress in America arise, not from defects in the Constitution or Confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from (people's) downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation."

President John Adams

"The few who can understand the system (Federal Reserve) will be so interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favors, that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of the people mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that capital derives from the system, will bear its burdens without complaint, and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interests."

Rothschild Brothers of London

"History shows that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit and violent means possible to maintain control over governments by controlling the money and the issuance of it."

President James A. Madison

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a monied aristocracy that has set the Government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs."

President Thomas Jefferson

"The powers or financial capitalism had (a) far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

Prof. Carroll Quigley in his book Tragedy and Hope

"In a small Swiss city sits an international organization so obscure and secretive....Control of the institution, the Bank for International Settlements, lies with some of the world's most powerful and least visible men: the heads of 32 central banks, officials able to shift billions of dollars and alter the course of economies at the stroke of a pen."

Keith Bradsher of the New York Times, August 5, 1995

"The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is eager to enter into close relationship with the Bank for International Settlements....The conclusion is impossible to escape that the State and Treasury Departments are willing to pool the banking system of Europe and America, setting up a world financial power independent of and above the Government of the United States....The United States under present conditions will be transformed from the most active of manufacturing nations into a consuming and importing nation with a balance of trade against it."

Rep. Louis McFadden - (Chairman of the House Committee on Banking and Currency) quoted in the New York Times (June 1930)

People should remember this little gem from Clinton's former Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich:

USA Today, Jan 7, 1999

"The dirty little secret is that both houses of Congress are irrelevant." Reich cut to the chase when he said that "America's domestic policy is now being run by Alan Greenspan and the Federal Reserve and America's foreign policy is now being run by the International Monetary Fund [IMF]." And, "...when the president decides to go to war, he no longer needs a declaration of war from Congress."

Is this a shock?  Bank of America has done this before. Any patriot who continues to do business with this 'bank' should seriously reconsider their personal financial decisions.  Bank of America is a government-subsidized band of thieves.
To all members of america. It is now time to dissolve our accounts with this treasonist bank thats call BANK OF AMERICA. They are a joke. Anyone who has account with them after today will be part of treason in my opinion. There are many bank who can take care of us at a cheaper price. CANCEL TODAY or be part of treasonist acts against america. They took our bailout money and now disgrace our military. CANCELED 2 ACCOUNTS. God Bless America and the people that believe.
Mr Phillips,  I was glad to see your name pop up on FoxNews this morning when I logged in; at least you are getting some attention for the views of Americans who still believe in a free future for the citizens of our nation.  I don't always agree with everything I read on here, but TPN seems to be directed down the path I wish to follow.  Keep up the fight and never quit.  Your role is very important.  By the way, are you planning a comment on the "economic terrorism plans" of the SEIU types uncovered this week and reported to Eric Holder by Congressman Jason Chaffetz?  The MSM has placed a pocket veto on this story, but it is too important to not shout about, in my opinion.  Informed people make better choices.  Thanks.
We should challenge Bonehead in primary.
"We The People" Know That It Was Going To Be Tough Fighting DemocRats And RINOs. It Is A Life Long Job!

That is right, Astra, but times have changed, not for the better either.  Just remember, there are the older people who need to drive, because of not having the stamina to walk a long way.  Taxies are too expensive.  If you have a bus line, and disabled, the steps to get up on the bus are just high enough you cannot get up on those either.

We need changes to a lot of things, but we need the right people in office to get that done, and for the people to stand up and tell their leaders, where ever they may be just exactly what they think about what is going on in their state and local government, and the U.S. government.

The answer is this, Boehner has to go as Speaker and a real conservative must be installed in that position. Boehner is a nice man but nice guys finish last in politics. He cannot go toe to toe with Harry Reid and mean what he says. He is too busy looking for compromise. I voted a straight Republican ticket last time. The Boehner and get him replaced and that is just the starting point. Then the new Speaker has to tell Harry Reid we are going to cut this budget by at least $61 billion dollars this year and Obama Care is part of the cut. Oh yes, part of the cut needs to be the Libya action which was constitutional that needs to be cut as well. That is a priority of mine. Obama, like it or not is going to obey the constitution.

I am getting tired of dealing with the gutless and those without the spine to stand up and fight Harry Reid who can be beaten. We have Obama on the ropes over Libya and ripe for impeachment. That needs doing. We need to get it done.
