A Friend of mine from Arizona sent his comment to me and will chime in from here as he is new. This might end up with the other groups too!
The mess our country is in...I knew it was coming. I have spent 40 years reading everything I could find on communist I started with the Communist Manifesto and have read at least 50 books since then. I am no expert but I and many others tried for all these years to warn people of what was coming and in store for us. Well it is here and falling in place just like Marx said it would, Our biggest problem is not Obama or the communists it is the uninformed public who will not get off their behinds and educater themselves or help us on issues of this country.
That is nothing new either as Washington fought two of the largest armies in the world with only 3% of the population backing him.
I sent out as a test on who would send an e-mail to the Presidente of Mexico to boycott them. I sent it to 38 on my list. Three days have passed and I got back 2 no's, and 6 yes's the rest have not replied. I will admit I have the Carry Nation syndrome but I understand what is in store for us if we lose. Like the old west save the last bullet for your self.
Apathy was one thing our forefathers warned us about also. There are some who will not get involved because "they will have our name on a list and they will come after us!!!" I say do you pay Taxes, use medicare, have a SS# or drivers license? You see you are already on a list.

Hi I am new at this thing i am an e-mail only person so bear with me. My concern for some time was voiced to day by Glenn Beck, he stated about the TP's they need to get organized with a communication network just as the left has done and is doing more so. I realize it is not an easy venture, but the fear they have of us now needs to be turned into terror the better we organize the bigger threat we become.
Here is your other post Jim...I do believe you have it now...

The reason why I am so concerned in getting things organized is that the other side who is very well organized into many groups, work in hand-in-hand with one another.
We on the other hand have over 115 conservative groups that I know of, countless TP's across the country, and 4 gun groups....I question the NRA as to who's side they really are on. I belong to the GOA and have tried to get them to join together but each wants to run their own show. If these groups would just coordinate with each other then something powerful could stand up and be noticed, even respected...imagine that. I personally think the TP's should strive to get organized just as the ACLU, NAACP, NRA, GOA, DAR, VFW, American Legion and a host of others seem to be.
Actually, the VFW and AL don't seem to want to get involved. Very few people really understand what is in store for them if we lose. Some TP people think this up coming election will take care of it where in fact, it will be the beginning of more to come to return the Constitution of this nation to the people.
I am from Illinois (hate to admit it) but, I told many people who were for Obama, never ever vote for anyone tied to the Chicago syndicate. They did and now regret it.
Organization is great but not critical. It really is simple. Learn who your local and statewide candidates are, do your homework, communicate with your friends, and

VOTE.

Rain, snow, sleet, hail, whatever. Drive your car, take a cab, a bus, ride a bike, or even walk.

But VOTE.

No excuses -- NONE.

Believe me, the rest will take care of itself.
Yes vote but vote with a complete knowledge of who you are voting for and why. An uninformed voter will get us another candidate like Obama! Votes were cast because he was black, they believed in his change, they hated Bush. I tried to tell those about Chicago and a little research would have bore this out. We are and army as with any army that is not organized they will lose. That is why the other side is very organized. My opinion from experience.
That is precisely why I said, "do your homework."

Not trying to argue but if each of us takes the personal responsibility for becoming informed, we will need no formal organization. Taking that responsibility in combination with sites like this -- where we can inform, compare, contrast, and debate ideas -- is all we really need.

Often, too much precious time is wasted trying to create some formal organization with either unstated or poorly defined goals and views. Building a consensus among competing organizations or among like-minded voters is not an end in itself. There must be a clearly defined purpose. And not something so obtuse as "get rid of Obama" or "return to conservative principles," whatever that means.

What is important to me is that our republic be based upon a democratic process that reflects the choices of INDIVIDUALS -- not of homogeneous groups that are merely formed to institute some sort of collective mind control -- progressive or conservative.

I want you to vote YOUR conscience, Jim, not what I think your conscience should be -- no matter how similar our views may appear.

Does that make sense?

That liberals and progressives band together in all their brain-washed nirvana does not mean we need to reciprocate! We need to express our individual views. And to do that, we need to become informed (as in not programmed) and take responsibility for making choices based upon what information we have found.

That is why sites like this are so valuable. Yet I fear if we devote an inordinate amount of time and energy to create some formal organization for building some artificial consensus on the details of every political issue du jour, we will likely accomplish little.

Better to inform ourselves -- individually -- and try to engage our friends, neighbors, coworkers, and acquaintances in spirited debate -- to awaken them as individuals -- rather than build yet another ineffective club with a stereotyped brand.

Like the Republican Party.

Sorry, not me.
With all due respect I have tried for 40 years to inform people, family and friends and it is a very discouraging job. I just sent emails to 38 friends to support a boycott on Mexico and put them on the defensive, so far I have had 6 yeses, 1 no and nor response on the rest. Don't ask me why people will not inform themselves maybe they are in denial, don't think it is really happening, and remember media left has brain washed us for over those 40 years. I was one of them but one day someone gave me a book to read on Communism and I gave him the benefit of the doubt then I read more and more and then tried to get others to do what I did, with very little luck. Don't think for one minute I don't continually pour stuff at them on the e-mails, and they to but most is jokes which is not going to stop these people. I have invited them to Tea Party meetings no luck there either, oh yes they are fed up with what is going on but will not take the initiative to do any thing about it because the refuse to understand what they will face if the out come is not in our favor. I have passed out books to many who take them and said they read them. I will ask them what they thought of something that was not even in the book and there answer tells me they did not read it but only took it to humor me. I have had a meeting here last year and 6 couples came and we gave them a lot of information but not one has ever followed through. Education is a must but the hardest to achieve. Stop and figure which soldier would learn the best, in an organized trained army or a rag tag bunch with no direction to go?
There you go with the term "Apathy" again. That's how this country down-ward spiraled to where it is now.
Be patient Jim and invite them to join TPN and join in on the learning and sharing of information. This is how my husband and I began. We were slightly curious and then had a craving for more information and knowledge!
The convention in Nashville got us hook, line and sinker when we attended and listened to the likes of Tom Tancredo, Tom Fitton and of course Sarah Palin.
The TPN people are the best! They can lead the way that others can follow.
I applaud you for your continued efforts, Jim. Regardless of how many votes out of ignorance are cast, yours is one of knowledge and consideration. With circumstances the way they are on a national scale, my guess is your vote will not be such a rare occurrence this fall!

But as it is true one cannot legislate love and compassion, one also cannot compel another to care enough to become informed or vote. And no amount of organizing will change that. We can only do what our conscience dictates and you have clearly done your part.

But change -- effective, productive change -- will only arise from knowledge and experience. And if the masses choose to remain ignorant, we all will reap the result until such time that ignorance is illuminated. Fortunately (???), Obama and his minions are creating the catalyst for illumination on a mass scale.

People seldom learn merely be reading or casual discussion. We learn most effectively from pain. And while so many ears were deaf to your overtures in prior years, the pain from unemployment, lost savings, and unmanageable debt will no doubt yield plenty of open minds with which to plant our seeds.

So keep on, Jim. You are doing the republic proud. In time, you will find more and more willing to listen to what you have to say.

I am reminded of the story of the hundredth monkey... where researchers observed the behavior of a colony of monkeys on an island. As I recall, they noted that virtually all the monkeys opened up their coconuts by smashing them against large rocks. Of course, that led to plenty of unfortunate results and lost coconut milk in the process. One day, the researchers noted an enterprising monkey learned how to open his coconuts with minimal losses by holding the coconut in one hand and striking it with a smaller rock in the other.

Over time, a few other monkeys picked up the technique but -- inexplicably -- the vast majority of the population continued with their flawed and unproductive ways.

However, the researchers noted that once the inner circle of this new technique had grown to about 100 in number, an unusual phenomenon occurred: almost overnight, the thousands of other monkeys on the island switched to the new technique.

Hence, the hundredth monkey...

Keep on, Jim. Your efforts have not been for naught. There will be a day very soon, people will awake in numbers never before imagined -- all because of people like you and so many others around here.

Have a good night!
I agree with you 100% the thing is most people do not understand what their lot in life will be if we lose this battle, their worst night mares will be like a Bugs Bunny cartoon compared to what lies ahead if we lose. They have to let go of the egos and realize no matter how much you make like or dislike another person that has to come second to the chore ahead. A friend once said I hope we can whip these communist so us Protestants can get back to crucifying you Catholics, but first we got to end communism. If we play the ego game we will lose that is a fact.
Barbee is correct about the term "Apathy", of course. But it is a bit disheartening. One has no choice but to try to educate, and sound the alarm as loudly as possible! Treat it as if your life depended upon spreading the message! Your life does depend on it.
Yours, mine, our children's lives....the lives of everybody
Apathy is a self perpetuating cycle!
Lack of interest or concern, especially regarding matters of great importance, leads to a lack of study, or interest! Which leads to continued apathy. I suppose such people will wake up one day and wonder what happened to their world, and angry that nobody warned them!

Apathy is something which I have little patience with, and find no way to combat effectively. How does one break the cycle?

I've heard it suggested that sheep awaken each day to a brand new world, having learned nearly nothing in the past! Am I comparing the general population of our land to sheep?
Said very well Vern but understand our nation has been lied to hood winked, passified to believe in La Dolce Vida since who knows when. For 40 years I have tried to wake people up oh a few listened but here are the usual answers "its to controversial" I can't get involved" "they will never get away with it" and so on. McCarthy had the guts to warn us but look what they did to him and at that time I believed he was a nutty, then I woke up. I hate to say it but my generation went to sleep, we lost two wars and a lot of good men. We stood by and watched our flag burn, our soldiers from Nam to be spit on and called baby killer. Since then I have shook the hand of every Nam vet I meet and thank them. Thank God the support for our troop today is what they needed in Korea and Viet wars we were not supposed to win. Truman fired the man who could have one and what just happened with a good general now? How many times have we been told of the 6 million that Hitler killed? How many times have we been told of the over 25million Stalin killed???
