Anyone worried?


 

This one has not made much news outside of the conservative blogosphere.  It is the newest executive order signed by Barack Obama.


Anyone nervous yet?

 

From the Examiner:

 

On March 16th, President Obama signed a new Executive Order which expands upon a prior order issued in 1950 for Disaster Preparedness, and gives the office of the President complete control over all the resources in the United States in times of war or emergency.

 

The National Defense Resources Preparedness order gives the Executive Branch the power to control and allocate energy, production, transportation, food, and even water resources by decree under the auspices of national defense and national security.  The order is not limited to wartime implementation, as one of the order's functions includes the command and control of resources in peacetime determinations.

 

I am not an alarmist but the idea of the Obama regime having total control over anything is disturbing.  No it isn’t disturbing, it is totally, freaking scary.

The economy of the United States is based on the free flow of resources, energy, and the rights of consumers to buy and sell as they see fit.  Any interference in this economic process quickly leads to shortages, rising prices, and civil unrest.  The purpose of President Obama signing this new Executive Order is yet unclear, however, it may coincide with information coming out of Israel yesterday that plans for a tactical or strategic strike on Iran are accelerating.  Oil prices in Europe rose over $3 a barrel for Brent crude after the Israeli actions, and US oil prices rose $2 for WTI.

 

The Obama administration appears to be preparing for a long drawn out war in the Middle East, or at the very least, an expected crisis that will require the need to override Constitutional authority and claim dominion over all resources in the United States under the guise of national defense.  With the rise in Disaster Preparedness growing for both individuals and states leading up to yesterday's Executive Order, the mood of the nation points strongly towards some event or disaster that will require massive preparations on a national as well as local scale.

 

Any one really nervous yet?

 

Given the cavalier way the Obama regime tends to ignore the Constitution, the thought of the Regime having emergency powers is a nightmare.

Elizabeth,

I agree that O is a traitor.  Any halfast lawyer could make that case based on his known actions alone.  Trouble is he owns the justice dept. There is no one else with the gravitas to drive this.  O already owns the propaganda machine.  How are we going to overcome that?  Was it a mistake to put the justice dept. in the executive branch?

For all of those who first ignored the “National Defense Resources Preparedness” EO when it became known and then jumped into the “it’s nothing new; America has always had EOs like that over the years,” here is the determining question to come back to reality:

 

Would you trust any executive order signed by a guy who unabashedly states his life’s mission as the Fundamental Transformation of America?

The question is, is it an Executive Order, if the signer is not eligible to be president? Why can we not sue on the grounds that he can not issue an executive order because he is not a Natural Born Citizen? Come to think about it, why can't do the same with Obama care?

Re Judi McLeod's article:  What a load of contradictions.  No one has tried to "spring" "One World Government" on the US.  Incremental change and the "long march through the institutions" have been effective or we wouldn't have this president and his regime at all - not ever.  Awareness of the newest Obama onslaught - and they are coming with increasing regularity - does not translate to "panic."  The majority in America have no clue, or are in denial, about what is going on - and seem to like it that way.

Don't tell me that the Obama crew is only toking and talking, yet they know what they are doing.  See Barnhardt's analysis.

I just flat can't understand why people that are our ages and lived through the cold war and the fear of an attack by the Communists would support a government that agrees with the Communists now.  The young people at least didn't live through that so they may not understand but the people our ages have no excuse to support a government that is not run by the people.  Also I am so sick of Hollywood being Communist and getting away with it.  We should have rallies against Hollywood.

Watch the video on Ann Barnhardt's site.  Looks like the Weathermen were into a lot more than we knew.  Evidently we were fed a MSM line about the "fall of communism."  Agree with you, JMC, about Hollywood - I haven't gone to a movie theater for a new release in years.
