Is anyone else sick of hearing the garbage about Obama having the courage to order the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden?  Let’s ignore the fact that Obama opposed enhanced interrogation techniques.  In fact if the military had followed the path Obama wanted, as soon as we captured a terrorist, we would have read him his rights, given him an ACLU lawyer and never heard another word.

Now the next time you here a liberal tells you how great Obama was ordering the Bin Laden hit, there is an answer.

What is it?

The answer is Shakil Afridi.

He is the Pakistani Doctor who willingly helped the CIA find Bin Laden.  Now he is in a Pakistan jail, having been convicted of helping America kill Bin Laden.  He received a 33 year sentence, which at his age is a life sentence.

From Fox News:

Former U.S. intelligence officers accused the Obama administration of dropping the ball on the case of the Pakistani doctor sentenced to 33 years in prison for helping find Usama bin Laden -- with one openly challenging the State Department's claim that it pressed his case "regularly" with Islamabad.

Officials are now raising a slew of concerns with how the U.S. government has handled the case.

Shakil Afridi, who reportedly is in his 50's, helped the CIA by running a vaccination program meant to try and verify bin Laden's location in Abbottabad.

With options for securing Afridi's freedom rapidly diminishing, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., urged the administration to push back hard on Pakistan in light of the sentencing -- and cut off aid.

"Secretary Clinton will have to do more than voice protests over the Afridi case. Both the Departments of State and Defense need to take punitive actions against Pakistan. Carrots are not enough when dealing with an adversary. Sticks are needed to prove we are serious," he said in a statement.

Others are accusing the administration of imperiling Afridi by discussing his role in public.

But Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, a former military intelligence officer, disputed this claim.

"From what I'm hearing, we did pretty much nothing," he said. "We did nothing diplomatically at all, didn't raise a finger. ... From what my sources tell me, we did nothing to try and help this guy."

Dr. Afridi was the real hero here, not Obama.  What has Obama done?  He and the regime have sold this guy out.

Unfortunately there is a message there for anyone else thinking about helping America.

Don’t.

The word is being spread through out the Middle East.  America will not help you if you help America.   This man made an incredible sacrifice for America and took a terrible risk.

He deserves praise for what he did and the American government must do everything in its power to secure his freedom.  Unfortunately, we will need a new President before there are any serious efforts to secure Dr. Afridi’s freedom.

Let’s hope he lives that long.

"Once upon a time" the U.S. would send in covert ops to rescue/help our "friends" and citizens. Now under the muslim's rule  his state dept abandons our "friends" and citizens. However, I would never include a muslim as a friend. Dr. Afridi was paid well to spy on osama

I would never include a muslim as a friend.

I'll second that/

I clearly remember hearing before the killing of OBL that Obama was told by the Joint Chiefs of Staff that the raid was going to occur with or without him.  Apparently, Obama was wishy-washy on whether to go in after OBL or to take a rain-check.  Afterall, the raid was so important to him that Obama had to finish his round of golf before going to the war room to watch the raid.  Since that first report I have heard nothing.  Did the lame street media bury this?  Does anyone else recall this statement?

Of course they did. I heard the same thing. It was Leon Ponetta that took charge and carried out the mission along with the Joint Chiefs. Obama was practically dragged kicking and screaming. He had to be threatened with what would happen if the word got out that we had the opportunity and he didn't act.

Thanks Edward.  I was sure that I had heard that and I also thought that it was Panetta that told BHO that the raid was going down with or without him.  I'm not a Panetta fan as I think he is probably our worst SoD but I will give him accolades for bullying BHO into accepting the raid.  So why is this not being raised by Fox or the Tea Party in answer to BHO's claims that he was the one with big enough b***s to take down OBL?  Do we really think that Romney would have been weaker than the America-hating BHO?

Obama is wrong to abandon Dr. Afridi first he should help get Dr. Afridi’s family to safety in the USA, and then he should use diplomatic pressure to free him this is another reason we need a new president.   Just like a stopped clock can be right twice a day Enhanced Interrogation Techniques aka torture should be banned. They violate Christian morals and put the souls of those who torture and those approve of it in danger.

We should offer a SWAP of OBAMA (the rat) for the DOCTOR in AFGANISTAN!

I like that idea.

I think we all know, that if the mission had been a failure, Obama would be blaming everyone he could think of...other than himself. He would probably claim that he didn't authorize the raid, and that a "roage" admiral carelessly acted on his own. He's find others to blame, and of course, he'd use his old standby......It's BUSH'S FAULT.
