We could dub Barack Obama the “American man of mystery.” There is so much about him that is unknown and so much of it that does not make sense. Jack Cashill, who is an incredible researcher and even better writer, has done a great job of deconstructing Obama’s writings, or in many cases, his ghost written book and explained a lot of his background.
But there is one mystery no one has gone into. What is it?
It is the career of Barack Obama, Attorney.
First, I am an attorney. If you are not an attorney or not in the legal profession, there are some things about the profession you may not understand but when you do, they make some of the decisions that Barack Obama made even more puzzling.
The legal profession is very much a caste system. Two things determine your place in the caste. The first is your law school and second, your class ranking in law school.
Law schools are divided into four tiers. The top tier are the elite schools, such the Ivy League schools and other high-powered private law schools. The second tier are good private law schools and the really good state run law schools. The third tier are the rest of the accredited law schools and the fourth tier are the law schools that are not accredited by the American Bar Association.
Within a law school, your standing is determined by your class rank and your membership in the Law Review. If you go to one of the prestigious top tier law schools, your career path is set. You will get a prestigious Federal Appellate clerkship, possibly followed by a Supreme Court Clerkship and then a job offer from one of the law firms that make up what is called “big law.”
The legal profession is divided between “big law” and everyone else. Big law is the big law firms out of New York, Washington, Chicago and LA. Legal academia is also a part of big law as many law professors will come from or go to big law. If you were not on law review at your law school and you did not go to a decent law school, you can forget about big law.
The Editor of the Law Review is considered the top prospect out of every law school and the Editor of the Harvard Law Review is the legal equivalent of the Heisman Trophy winner in college football.
In 1990, Barack Obama became the Editor of the Harvard Law Review. Severn current or former Supreme Court Justices have been editors of the Harvard Law Review. Dozens of other prominent people have been editors including convicted Soviet spy Alger Hiss.
Obama became the Editor of the Harvard Law Review and his path was set. He would have ended up clerking for a Supreme Court Justice, then accepting a position at one of the nation’s top law firms.
Instead, Obama graduated from Harvard and then went back to Chicago to work as a “community organizer.”
This makes absolutely no sense. It is like the Heisman Trophy and presumptive number one NFL draft pick suddenly announcing he was going to forego an NFL career to play non-competitive beach volleyball!
Obama, as far as I know has never disclosed how he got to Harvard. He was a self admitted poor student, yet he managed to get into two of the most prestigious and expensive schools in American, including the most prestigious law school in the United States.
He says he paid for them with scholarships and student loans. A Harvard Law education is very expensive. Harvard accepts a little over 10% of those who apply and those who do must have stellar academic credentials. How does someone go with the presumably crushing debt load he would have had and take a job that pays next to nothing.
Barack Obama some how managed to get into Harvard Law School, get the coveted Editorship of the Law Review, thus becoming the number one legal recruit for the year he graduated and he tossed it all to go become a community organizer, a job for which a law degree is absolutely unnecessary.
None of this makes any sense. But then again so much of Barack Obama’s life makes no sense. Why did Obama do these things? According to people who knew him, he wanted to be Mayor of Chicago. That was his driving ambition. Becoming a partner in a high-powered law firm in Chicago seems like it would have been a much better route to the goal he allegedly wanted so badly.
What really happened?
We are dealing with Barack Obama. Do not ever expect to hear the true story.

Permalink Reply by robert l scalise jr on May 20, 2012 at 1:25am This is astonishing how this guy could fly under the radar for so long and now that we are begining to unpeel this onion we are finding out more and more disturbing things about him.I would like to know who helped him, because he didnt get through all these top schools with a student loan. why wont he show us his grades and school records ? what is he trying to hide? Someone is doing a good job at keeping his life a secret. I have some answers to this in my new e-book coming out this week on amazon/kindle called Barack Obama : Antichrist? or American Dictator? I tell what Obama is up to in the upcoming Presidential elections and how he is going to try to steal the election if t looks like he is going to lose.
Obama is evil. What more do we need to know?

Permalink Reply by Craig Chariton on May 20, 2012 at 12:40pm I worked in the legal community for nine years. You are correct that it is a caste system. However, there is one item about which you are incorrect, and it is quoted incorrectly by many others as well.
According to what I have learned via other articles, Obama was not the editor of the Harvard Law Review. He was the president of the Harvard Law Review, but not the editor. There is a big difference. The editor actually has tasks to accomplish for the publication of the review. The president is a figure head. This is why he was not the coveted top Harvard law school grad.
Permalink Reply by James William Olmes Rogers on May 20, 2012 at 3:20pm Judson, was BHO the "editor" or "president" of the law review? Is "editor" earned by grades/writing? Is "president" just a popularity contest? Evidently there are differences between "editor" and "president." Which one was BHO?
Permalink Reply by Craig Chariton on May 20, 2012 at 10:05pm These two articles will shed some light on the "editor" and "president" question.

From what I have been able to decipher from research, and somewhat inferred by these articles, the president of the Harvard Law Review is suppose to be equivalent of the "senior editor" or "editor-in-chief" at other reviews. At least that is what they want you to think. There are many editors on the Harvard Law Review (at least 34 currently), as there are at any law review. There are two ways to be selected to be an editor through a competitive process. Others may be selected on a "descretionary basis". Harvard changed the way editors were selected back in the 80s to implement an affirmative action program to allow other factors to be considered.
It appears Obama was brought on board as one of the many editors via the affirmative action process. His writing was not up to par to be selected via the competitive process. After he was onboard he was selected "president". Apparently being elected president is more of a popularity contest, or involves subjective reasons for making a person president of Harvard Law Review. It is not the same as the "editor-in-chief" at other law reviews as they have different selection criteria and processes. In this case, Obama became the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. My suspicion it that they made him president just so they could make this claim. It wasn't because he was outstanding as an editor or as a candidate for editor. That's just my opinion.
When applying for work as an attorney you normally have to provide a writing sample. Even when I worked as a paralegal I had to provide a writing sample. Obama's struggles with writing, referenced in the American Thinker article, may have lead firms where he applied for work to rule him out, even though he was the "president" of the Harvard Law Review. After all, in order to be an attorney, you have to be able to write effectively.
To sum this up, here is how I see it. Obama could not get on the Harvard Law Review based upon qualifications. He was made an editor (one of many) as a result of new affirmative action policies. He was elected "president" of the law review, not based on merit and qualifications as at other law reviews, but as a figure head. Obama had many inadequacies, including his writing ability. I suspect these inadequacies became quickly apparent to employers, even though Obama was "president" of the Harvard Law Review. Thus he was unable to secure a position at a top law firm or for a judge.
This is just my opinion, but it think it does have merit.

I think we can add another laurel to BHO's garland: Poster Boy For Harvard Law School's Affirmative Action Program!!!
Permalink Reply by Janet Dobbs on May 22, 2012 at 10:46am Here are some interesting facts about Obama as a lawyer of which you may or may not be aware.
While at Harvard Obama was contacted in his senior year by Tony Rezko who offered him a job upon graduation. Obama said he declined because he wanted to return to Chicago and work for the civil rights of the people and as a community activist.
Obama would rather give up other Big firm job offers in NY or DC for a job at a Chicago law firm? Good question. Read further.
When Obama returned to Chicago he worked for the Miner Davis firm. As a lawyer Obama never tried a case in court and as a Lecturer at the Univ of Chicago he was described at lazy and aloof by his colleagues. As a Lecturer he would throw out a Case to his students and sit back while they debated the Case.
As far as going to Harvard, I doubt he had any college loans since Dr. Khalid al Mansour, Principal Advisor to the Saudi Royal family and former Black Panther was procuring tuition funds for Obama to attend Harvard. Mansour also went to Percy Sutton, Malcolm X's former attorney, in Chicago requesting Sutton write a letter of recommendation to people Sutton had ties to at Harvard. In the following video of Sutton discussing this episode pay attention to him saying that Obama passed all Harvard's tests including President of the Law Review (how could he have known in advance? hmmm):

After this interview played on TV and the Obama campaign got wind of it, they sent out a "mysterious family spokesman" who denied what Percy Sutton had said. Problem is WND went back to Sutton's family who reiterated that Sutton's version was true and there was no family spokesman. You must read the following article by Daniel Pipes who comes out with this, plus other facts relating to Obama:

Further, Obama did not renew his law license while a State Senator and Michelle voluntarily surrendered her's under threat of a Court Order.
