What is it about the liberals in blue states? They hate the American dream. They hate anyone who wants to embrace the American dream. They want to destroy the American dream.
If they had their way, America would look much like the old Soviet Union.
Another blue state is trying to absolutely destroy the American dream and the wealth of Americans that live in that state.
Which one is it and what are they doing to kill the American dream?
It is New Jersey.
Two card-carrying members of the Party of Treason and New Jersey State Legislators have proposed an epic disaster of a bill. The bill is called the New Jersey Residential Foreclosures Transformation Act.
What this bill does is create a new government entity called the New Jersey Foreclosure Relief Corporation. It would be a “temporary” government agency. Of course, when was the last time any government agency, once created, was “temporary.”
This new office would be tasked with using government money to buy houses that are in foreclosure and then put those houses to use by the state. In other words, they’ll still foreclose, but they’ll turn that house into public housing.
If the red alert lights are not going off now, they should.
You should have visions of Ronald Reagan saying, “The most terrifying words in the English language are, I’m from the government and I am here to help.”
If you are a homeowner in New Jersey, which one of the highest foreclosure rates in the nation, the Party of Treason has a great surprise in store for you.
If you own a home in New Jersey, odds are some homes in your neighborhood are in foreclosure. It doesn’t matter how nice of a neighborhood you live in, under the New Jersey Foreclosure Transformation Act, the government will buy any home that is in foreclosure and has not been sold within 45 days. 45 days is a joke. No house in foreclosure is going to be sold that quickly.
That means the New Jersey government is going to be buying a lot of houses.
What are they going to do with these houses?
What do you think?
You may live in a nice neighborhood but what do you think the politicians will do with the foreclosed houses the state buys in your neighborhood? The politicians in New Jersey are going to import low-income housing to your neighborhood. Does anyone voluntarily live in a neighborhood with Section 8 housing?
Not if they have a choice.
Now with this bill, when New Jersey buys homes, they are going to have to do something with them. So who really believes they will not start making many of these homes low-income homes.
As the old saying goes, “There goes the neighborhood.”
Oh but wait, this gets even better.
What are some of the other wonderful uses the New Jersey State Government will come up with for these homes?
How about residential drug treatment centers. Yes, New Jersey homeowner, your new neighbor could be the home to a transient group of hopefully recovering crack heads. And if they lose their sobriety, well, you could lose some of your hard earned property
Or maybe the your state government will make that new home a half way house for convicts just being released from prison; or even better, residential housing for sex offenders.
Foreclosures do enough damage to a neighborhood and we can thank people like Christopher Dodd, Barney Frank and other members of the Party of Treason for the mortgage meltdown.
This lunatic plan would totally destroy the value of homes owned by anyone in New Jersey.
The fact this bill has even been introduced and is getting serious consideration from the New Jersey state legislature should be enough to inspire any sane person left in New Jersey to try and sell their house as quickly as possible and get out of New Jersey as quickly as possible.
Of course, I like to look on the bright side. This will be yet another blue state whose primary exports will be wealth, jobs and businesses.
Keep up the good work New Jersey.

True . . . abandoned homes will hurt property values of surrounding homes, but wait till you see what happens to property values when the government takes over property rights of previously owned homes. The issue should be solved with common sense; i.e., everyone loses (families, neighborhoods, banks, et al) when a home is vacated.
The only winners are those who believe big government is the solution . . . . they will wake up when the gulag door slams shut on their future.

There is no shame in being poor, but there IS shame in accepting money that was stolen from your fellow citizens.

Permalink Reply by Nancy on June 19, 2012 at 8:51am Question--Where does NJ Gov Chris Christie stand on this?
Permalink Reply by Katie Kalpin on June 19, 2012 at 10:31am That's a good question, but if it has made it this far, I assume that he is standing with this. I would hope not though!! :)
This will be the topic of discussion at our local tea party meeting Thursday. I'll fill you in what happens.
I assume that the money will come from the $1,000 fines for not belting pets. It's a disguise for another tax. The left has become creative.
Environmental fines are really a form of taxation now. Keep property tax at the same level, but find another restrictive punishment to pay for. They think it's clever, but we're on to them.
It's becoming more difficult to be a Jersey-ite. But our governor is still the hero to many RINO's.
Permalink Reply by Katie Kalpin on June 19, 2012 at 9:11am Yes please let us know. This must be a very hot topic for you all. ;) Where in NJ are you all meeting? I am asking because we are down there in Brick NJ Thursday untill Sunday. I would love to stop in and hear what you all have to say. ;) Not sure if you go to Brick or the shore a lot but they have closed down F-cove. Now we boaters have no place to land the boats and hang. Too many little liberal girls taking their tops off and the not so cool guy's throwing beer bottles all over the place. Now the NJ shore is dead out there. I can't stand wimpy states. ;)
Northern NJ, Passaic county. Thank goodness I'll be in PA this weekend, where there is still sanity.
Permalink Reply by Katie Kalpin on June 19, 2012 at 10:23am Oh cool they are not that far. :) I am looking forward to that. Where in PA are you going to be?? And YES we do have pleanty of sanity left here lol. I have to warn you though...we get a lot of NYers and NJers up here on the weekend, so the santity doesn't look so sane lmbo!! :) just kidding, normally it's the good NJ people that are there. :D

Permalink Reply by Steve Johnson on June 19, 2012 at 9:04am This is great!
The original homeowner loses his home faster, the banks receive taxpayer money, and a bum gets a free place to live.
